Looking for coffee stop on way back to Northumberland from Lincoln. Best coffee in years, then fantastic home made soup and bacon n brie pannini. Well worth changing your route for. Will become regular stop in lovely village which also has terrific bakery.

We stopped here en route to a rugby match at Ampleforth. On a cold blustery rainy Weds, the place was packed. Staff could not have been more helpful and we felt so rude to be in such a rush!!! Utterly devastated to not be able to enjoy the delicious cakes on offer! We sampled scrumptious hot chocolate and marshmellows, followed by a delicious lunch. Food was perfectly presented and salad amazing. A gorgeous sandwich with a difference. Parking is easy and hovingham village is beautiful. Thank you so very much once again!

A really nice cafe. Dog friendly inside and out. Very good food and coffee. Possibly because of limited space in the kitchen the plates are cold so if ordering hot food eat quickly.

Couldn’t fault the Park at Hovingham. Lovely dog friendly coffee shop. We had a Full English breakfast and Avocado on toast with chilli flakes, feta and tomato with an optional poached egg. We shared a great pear frangipane tart with cream. Everything was cooked to perfection, not the cheapest but undeniable quality. Thank you.

Beautiful staff and gorgeous food! Or should that be the other way round? A must visit. My wife is also a great fan of the avacado on toast with a poached egg. The atmosphere is always pleasant due to the charming staff. Wish I had counted the number of customers who commented unsolicited, that they would definitely be back. Came to this lovely cafe for a stop off on my way to Yorkshire Dales and was very disappointed. Great service and the most lovely pottery however, the scones was a big let down. They were exceptionally small and stale. I bought them thinking they would be home made and fresh but this was not the case. It would have also been nice to have a little biscuit on the side of the coffees given how large the saucer was. Other then this great service and in a beautiful location

Went here after a run around the outside of Castle Howard and needed a feed and some coffee. The castle has nice food but is expensive and appaling coffee. A quick search on this site and we found The Park. First the food. We both had the bacon and brie toasted sandwich (the steak pie was sold out - but we were there around 14:00). It was delicious, as was the amazing side salad. It was also huge, so the cinnamon toast we ordered was unnecessary...The coffee we ordered was a bit weak, so we asked for an espresso shoto be added. This was done with a smile and improved the coffee! Afterwards we had a chat with owners and bought some fresh baked goods that had a Swedish* twist.Would I go back - definitely* I think it was Swedish, apologies if not

We come to Hovingham regularly and usually bring packed lunch. Today we decided to visit the Park and I am pleased I did. We decided to take our lunch away but before doing so I took in the surroundings. Dogs are welcome which is a big plus and the decor is right up my street. Rustic. The place is very busy so it will be hit or miss if you get a table. We ordered the gammon/cheese and chutney sandwich and a tuna/chilli pannini. They were both outstanding. REALLY outstanding! We also ordered a childs sandwich. The food and setting 5 stars. The only minor negatives are as follows. As we took our food away we did not get the side salad or crisps (however it is cheaper to take away so can be understood) although this usually relates to service and not the food. The staff were not overly friendly, they barely acknowledged me and this made me feel slightly awkward (it was busy i guess). The price was not cheap. Over £14 which is on the steep side and would have been more towards £20 if Id sat in. However as I mentioned you are paying for quality so for the rare occasions I come here id rather pay for something I know is tasty. If it was a little cheaper Id come more. Places like this do not need to worry about me though as with or without my trade it is always busy.

Stopped here for a light lunch. Very friendly, smiley staff. Simple lunch menu, perfect for our needs. Ordered hot chocolate (divine) and a coffee (good) plus a bacon and Brie panini and a cheese and onion toastie. Drinks were perfect. Bacon panini was I am told top notch and served with a fresh salad too. Toastie was boring, average and not even a leaf of garnish in sight. Odd and disappointing. It sufficed, but that was it, hot chocolate made up for the rest.

I'm sure this place would have been excellent if we'd actually been served! Came in and sat down, only one other gentleman seated and a small child, presumably his mother was in the hairdressers?? We sat down and waited 5mins until the waitress came through with a lady from the hairdresser and served her a coffee, then proceeding to stand and chat with her about holidays. My mum and I sat and waited patiently, knowing that you have to make a certain amount of small talk with a customer but time went on. Over 20 minutes we sat there while the waitress, although looked in our direction several times, completely ignored us. Eventually we got up and walked out to which she said "come again anytime"!!!! We couldn't believe it! Shocking service which left us extremely disappointed. Especially as my mum is a Hovingham resident and was excited for me to experience the great coffee they apparently have, but with service like that we'll stick to the fantastic Leoni's on malton high street!

We regularly go on walks from Hovingham and need a good coffeetime/lunch cafe. There used to be a cafe on the same site (The T-Shop) but it closed several years' ago. Well, we can recommend this new coffee shop. Staff are very pleasant and efficient. The toasted teacake and scones were very good. The cups are an interesting design and very nice to hold. They have skinny milk. However, the coffee needs to be stronger - both the cappuccino and the Americano. If the coffee were stronger it would all be perfect.

Decent choice of food available however we ordered pie mash Mushy peas and gravy. Only had 1 pie (so got a pasty as there was 2 of us) Mash was made from a jacket potato it was very lumpy tinned peas over blasted in the microwave served with a smile however forgot the gravy and it arrived half way through us eating the meal. Sadly this place could be a little gold mine if run correctly and proper attention to detail applied with the food. We hafmd our lunch at 12.15 so there was no way they could have ran out of mash? Could do better really

Booked the brewery tour package from Red Letter days. The tour was very informative with Josh being a fountain of knowledge and obviously loving brewing and beer. His witty remarks and low key humour really made the tour enjoyable. The beer tasting in the bar was flexible and offered a pint taken eith as a pint, two halves or a flight of 3, third pints to enable a range to be tried! Although a small brewery they have some quite advanced mechanisation for bottling, canning and casking! Very impressed,
