We just popped in for a drink ,we sat do and waited and waited ,the girls kept walking pass us ,no one spoke to us ,very more customer service day ,

Went to The Pantry for brunch on Sunday and fell in love with their garden. We ordered veggie breakfast, toast & jam and orange burrata salad. Breads were thickly cut and perfectly toasted. Burrata was as fresh as it can be. All in all, food was amazing. The service, on the other hand, was terribly slow. Appreciate that it was a busy morning with lots of customers and fewer staff however, we were sat there for well over 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Even after reminding the waiting staff, nobody showed up for another 10 minutes. Then finally I had to walk over to the indoor payment counter for the staff to make a note of our order. Coffee was served immediately however food took good 15 minutes and even then they missed the burrata salad. While it’s my first experience at The Pantry and don’t want to be judgemental, it looks like others have reported similar experiences in the reviews which kinda indicates that they perhaps need more staff.

A fantastic music and cocktail evening Sat eve followed by a lovely lunch on Sunday.

I had an vegan option breakfast and everything was 5 stars.

My wife and I came here for our wedding anniversary brunch. Food was tasty, service was prompt and polite and the outside setting had character. For the bird lovers, there is a friendly little robin redbreast.

Had a really excellent vegan breakfast today followed by yummy cake. The coffee was excellent and the staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Really nice outdoors seating. Highly recommended

Disappointed! Ordered the club sandwich but asked for it in a baguette. Originally this seemed like it was going to be a problem but then the waitress agreed that they could do that. The menu said they use freshly baked baguettes which sounded very appealing but the reality was very very dry stale bread that definitely hadn’t been freshly baked. Mayo was missing from my sandwich but it was promptly brought to me when I asked. My husband had beans on toast. He said the beans tasted cheap and flavourless. My daughter had a waffle which seemed to be ok. The coffee was nice and the seating area was cute and in the sun. The kids menu was also pretty good and seemed to be a good price. But unfortunately more bad points than good. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be going back.

One of my favourite cafés in Leighton Buzzard. Delightful courtyard with table service. Great range of cakes and a nice latte. Perfect for a leisurely coffee or lunch. Take away available.

Its just started to rain so lets go for lunch, we had seen The Pantry earlier and liked the look of the menu (plenty for us veggie weirdos), ordered two hippy picnic sandwiches one vegan cheese and other ordinary cheese, massive sandwich really nice bread and stuffed full of cheese, salad, mushroom and avocado, washed down with a pleasant pomegranate drink, all tasty, staff were pleasant especially the young lady who took our order (it was only her second day). Well worth a visit if in Leighton Buzzard

Cute little cafe down a side alley off the main high street. Definately worth a visit as the cakes were gorgeous however the service was slow and drinks arrived after the food.

Lush breakfast, good service. Exceeded our expectations all round, look forward to returning!

Rubbish customer service! Didn't even get what I ordered and upon driving back during my lunchbreak to return the food, no apology given howsoever!

Asked for poached egg on toast x2 and they added avocado to the 4 slices of toast. We had to scrape it off. Weve been 5 times and 3 times good and 2 bad. They did take the price off the avocado to be fair with no questions and apologized. Will go again

I've had to downgrade my rating based on my most recent visit from 5 star to 3 star I had the full breakfast. I thought the sausage was over cooked, the bacon and egg were luke warm. The bread is cut too thick. The coffee also tasted as though the milk was on the verge of going off. While the ladies serving were polite, they were clearly understaffed and under a lot of pressure, meaning the service was below par. I would make the recommendation to visit, and I will visit again, but should I have the same experience, then I will update my review and not return.

Great cakes & coffee but always takes forever for the girls to take our order, almost gave up today. Advice, take the order then take a while to bring it, much nicer.

Sitio típico británico. Desayuno de la zona, todo rico e interesante. Local limpio, personal amable y comida bien, sin más, visto el sitio y ya. Puedes ir con perros pues hay menú para ellos y pueden hacer amigos. Lo dicho, un sitio para ir una vez y listo, no destacaría nada más.

This was our first visit. Staff were very friendly all areas were clean and tidy. Drinks were piping hot and delicious and our food was also fabulous. We will definitely be back.

As a return visitor, really disappointed with the service and quality of the food we received last weekend. It appears the quality has really gone downhill in the past few months. Firstly, it took a good 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive - which we can waver, but sadly the food we could not. The order was not read back to us, and sadly a ridiculous amount of mistakes followed. One family member didn't receive their food as it was "missed" from our order. We ordered an optional extra to a meal which didn't materialise, and another family member had a sandwich with little to no filling and subsequently was returned. The replacement meal, along with the 'no show' meal took a good 30 minutes to arrive, and when queried - we were told that there were new orders and ours was at the end of the list. No sauces were offered and no checks were provided throughout the meal. We also witnessed two/three tables leaving due to poor service during our time there. The worst, however, was the manager who questioned her employee about whether we were the table that had made a complaint, but no apology or explanation was provided by her. A terrible example. This was supposed to be a celebratory meal and unfortunately, we wish we had stayed at home. This was our 'go-to' place in Leighton Buzzard but sadly we won't be revisiting.

Not high expectations. Ordered from the menu. A Saturday at noon. Baked potato and spicy beans. Waitress eventually returned. They had run out of spicy beans. I am gluten free so asked for something else from the menu on a baked potato. She went to ask. Different waitress returned and said it wasn't possible as they were busy. We have been there quite a few times before. We left and went to Cafe Sorelli. Excellent service and non sticky tables.

I don't usually have issue here but today has made me so upset that I'm having to make a review about it. We arrived before the kitchen had closed (1.30pm and kitchen closes at 2pm) but were met with a chef who had nothing to cook for someone dairy free and no want or will to change anything on the menu. All I wanted was a jacket potato and they wouldn't put anything that would go on a sandwich onto a jacket potato. (EG wouldn't swap spicy bean, which they did not have, for salmon or chickpea as it wasn't going on bread). I have also been told before that their mayo was dairy free and now their tuna is premixed with a dairy mayo therefore I couldn't have that either. If you were vegan you would have pretty much been going hungry. Thankfully the waitress did not charge us for our drinks as she also felt bad about the situation. It seems wholly unfair to say that you can't change anything on the menu if they don't have half the menu anyway. I am really disappointed as this is usually my favourite place to take people and now I won't be able to return without thinking of this service.

Brunch is ok, but it took a while to be served . However the place is cute

Lovely place, the garden is fab. Food is good value, however, the wait can be a little long, but it’s worth it.

Ordered a ‘spicy Katsu baguette’ and it was just chicken Mayo… nothing spicy or katsu about it. I double checked it was the right item and the waitress confirmed. Slow service and dirty toilets with no loo roll. Much better places to go in Town. Probably won’t be returning

This is a very lovely place to meet with friends for coffee and brunch. It’s a great location and has a lovely outdoors area. This is a dog friendly cafe which is great. It’s got a mixture of seating and tables. The menu is very good. The quality of food is good however I have visited a number of times, improvements needed in my view. -service is slow, getting your order taken and then your food can take a while. -staff always seem grumpy, never get a smile they walk around looking unhappy. They do not give a welcome positive vibe. I do think this place could be outstanding but staff training and mood does need to be developed in my opinion.

Staff are all so friendly and helpful. The coffee is very good and the cakes are amazing! Definitely would recommend a visit.

Tasty food and a lovely atmosphere. It is one of the few places in England that can cook black pudding without turning it into a solid, burned hockey puck. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches and the Baked Sweet Potato with Sticky beef or Chorizo and cheese.

I like this place and will visit again if they don't mess the one thing we are there for. But I must say on this occasion, I was disappointed as the breakfast came cold sausage, bacon overcooked and dry ( seamed pre cooked). Toast was hard, not enough butter offered to even things out. The mushrooms could do with a bit of seasoning. The waffle was store bought and also dry and flaky like it had sat out in the open a while. I must say, overall, very disappointed and shocked as I had raved about the place to my daughter.

What they have done out the back of here is beautiful! You walk down the alley into this beautiful lit up area that could be anywhere in Europe! The staff were so friendly, welcoming and look after us well. The cocktails there are outstanding! Freshly made and all look great. Would recommend to all.

Stunning. Visited with some friends who have recently moved to the area and it could not have been more pleasant. Food was outstanding and they had a kids menu available. This was all great value for money. The entire courtyard and cafe were immaculately clean and presentable. The baby changing area was so thoughtful, as were the gender neutral toilets. An absolute must. The only things to be aware of, the inside is quite cosy so pushchairs need to be left outside but there's covered areas to do so. Potentially not ideal for very little babies but was perfect for my son (one year old).

What a great cup of coffee. Really hot and really tasty. The cake was great too. Chocolate banoffee and peach and pear for the two of us. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely English breakfast today with a flat white - a great start to a Sunday. Great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Remember to book as there were no spare tables available around 10.30am

As others have mentioned, the wait is a little long when busy, but very much worth it. All freshly cooked with care and attention. The quality of the thick cut bacon and meaty sausages far exceeds the other cafes in the local area. (Looking at you Vibes…). The presentation and service is spot on. The place of choice for a fry up in The Buzz. The smoothies are great as well!

The pantry catered for a retirement lunch at our work place and the whole service was faultless. The set up was perfect and the attention to detail made it look amazing. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Would 100% use again and recommend.

What a lovely place. Me and my friend decided to go to The Pantry as a middle travel for us both. Such hidden little gem. Loved the atmosphere and the staff were remarkably friendly and accommodating, thank you for that. See you again soon.

Despite it being half term, the staff were very apologetic. As a supporter of independent places, I was impressed!

Nice little cafe but for the price the food wasn’t worth it. I had a cheese jacket potato and the potato was undercooked and on the hard side. Wouldn’t revisit when there’s plenty of other options in town.

Visited The Pantry and was lucky to get the last table available. I’d recommend booking a table as it is often very busy here. For good reason too - the food and drinks are really tasty. Just had an Oreo milkshake and a slice of lemon and blueberry cake today. No complaints at all, the milkshake tasted great and was super creamy, and the cake was light and fluffy. Cakes are £3 each and drinks within the range of £2-£5.

Really nice food, staff and service but the closing times are quite random on the weekends when they have private parties etc and it's frustrating ! It would be so much better PR to have a big sign outside on those days to save the disappointment! Hence 4 stars ⭐

Love it , brilliant service and great food

55mins from ordering to receiving lunch. Drinks came quite quickly but then that's no good if your food is 45 mins later. Also not good that the staff seem to have been suffering this problem for a long time. Here a suggestion,instead of making room for more tables why not improve/increase the size of your kitchen. I won't be back until you have a better speedier service.. Food was nice to be fair.

Lovely quaint little restaurant on the high street. Yes it's busy but be patient the staff work really hard. It's small but remember it was a cottage originally I believe. Breakfast was plentiful and hot and the toast was a door stop ha ha. Please chill out and relax

Very friendly service but sausage, bacon & mushrooms were very dry, seemed to have been cooked several hours earlier. Possibly due to ordering a breakfast at 2.30pm! Eggs were nice. Milkshakes were very small for £4.50, tall glasses but held small amount, disappointed with it. Overall it was quite disappointing, maybe wrong time of day for what we ordered.

Great place to eat and relax inside or outside, food is wow, good size portion. Staff are amazing and friendly.

Nice little cafe tucked away from the High Street. Gluten free options too as my sister is intolerant. Friendly Service. Club sandwich was a bit of a mouthful but very tasty.

Usually I have a good experience here at the The Pantry but that seems to be when I sit inside. I chose to sit outside because it was full inside, fair enough. But anytime I sit outside the service is never the same... my 1 year old and I waited 10-15 minutes and nobody came out.. so, I left. If you do plan to visit, I advise you to sit inside or don't bother.

Beautiful place set back from the street. Friendly and welcoming staff and good value food.

We were seated in a timely fashion but we were not given menus. We had to ask again for a kids menu and to order drinks, only the menu was delivered. We waited a further 25 minutes, asked 4 members of staff to take our order. After 30 minutes we gave up and went some where else

I love this cafe, it has become one of me and my families favourites for a bite to eat. The garden is beautiful, inside is nicely decorated. The food is really nice and fresh and it is fairly priced. I always recommend to friends.

During the LB Film Fest we hosted a masterclass in The Pantry. Tina has been very helpful and flexible when were organising this and on the night made sure that everyone had tea or coffee. We had a great evening in a cosy location.

I love this place but please be careful what you're ordering if you have an allergy. I ordered a banoffee cake but when it arrived, it was chocolate cake with banoffee icing. I asked if it was chocolate and was told "no, its vegan so its not real chocolate". So I believed them and took a bite... It was chocolate and I am allergic to cocoa powder. They were very apologetic and let me swap it but it made me very very poorly. Check the ingredients if you're unsure please and go with your gut instinct.

We have visited The Pantry several times over this summer and I have to say it is a beautiful little hidden cafe up one the the tiny alleys in Leighton Buzzard. Beautifully decorated both outside and in. Delicious breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes with a huge selection of drinks, shakes and smoothies. The food is always delicious and the service generally very good. Although we have had one or two issues during the times we have visited they are always resolved with a smile I would definitely recommend finding this hidden delight , for a drink, snack or full meal

We had a really lovely breakfast here, super quick and great quality food. We sat outside which is just beautiful. Loved listening to the birds as we had our restful food.

After being told they were only serving sandwiches and jackets, we were told it was a 20 minute wait which was fine. They eventually took our order and said they had no jackets so we had to amend our order. After nearly half an hour, they then came out to say there was no chicken. Resulting in us waiting nearly an hour for us to only order drinks and walk out. After asking to speak to the manager, I was told they had left. No apologies were made. Won’t be going there again!

Almost very good, it's a lovely setting, food was nice, tea was a little weak, and coke isn't that nice served warn. Also good size portions with the food, staff friendly, biggest complaint is the slow service. I don't think you would be disappointed if you went, just don't go if you need to be somewhere else afterwards.

Popped in for a light lunch. What a find..... Fantastic courtyard setting with relaxed seating, friendly staff and good all round menu. With this atmosphere and great birdsong from a couple of rescued birds in an aviary you would think your on holiday far from home.... Thanks to you and staff..

Revisited The Pantry this morning and this time was way worse than the previous visit. We seated outside and we ordered breakfast and drinks. When the drinks came (5-6min) they were different than what we ordered. The nice waitress agreed to replace them with the desired ones and apologised for the inconvenience. About 15 minutes after ordering the same waitress came and asked my wife to change her order because the kitchen informed her that what my wife ordered will not be ready anytime soon. Not nice... but she changed her order. Of course what I've ordered was automatically delayed. Don't really know what happened to me, usually I am not this patient but after about 40 minutes in total we asked what happened with our food and apparently they forgot about us. Anyway after another 5 minutes the food was brought to our table without the toast for my English breakfast. After about 7 minutes of waiting for my toast and when my food went completely cold I've decided to discuss my problem with the manager. I've kindly asked the waitress to inform the manager that we would like to have a chat but he/she didn't care to join us. Apparently, since you are patient enough to wait for your food more than 45 minutes you also need to wait for the manager at least the same amount of time. No offence to the manager but he/she should find a different job and let a competent person to take over. Don't recommend this place, the food might be good as many before me have said but our experience was totally unpleasant.

Don't even think about going. The "waitress" had no idea whatsoever. After having finally ordered, we waited a lot longer than average before getting the order, (which was only 3 Cappucini) we each had a cup of light brown coloured water which was at least warm. It's a shame though that it was totally tasteless. We sent them back and left to go to a cafe who knew that a cappucino needed some coffee in it! Be warned and try if you dare.....

Often come here for lunch and although the service is sometimes slow the food is good. Now they are opening the outside only in the evening we decided to give it a try. The meat and cheese sharing platter was delicious, plenty of food and...

The place has super friendly staff. A very affordable place to eat. The food was absolutely tasty and very presentable. It is a family friendly place. You can watch the birds whilst you eat. My favorite place in Leighton buzzard to stop for breakfast or lunch.

Went here because they had vegan options - lost count of the number of times we told them that it must be dairy free as grandson has allergies - we were a bit dubious about the spread but as they had checked the bread had no dairy we took a chance - today a flare up - thinking the spread they used was not dairy free after all 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s a nice place the food is tasty but painful to order if have allergies -

Disappointing! Great atmosphere and potential but extremely slow service. Have been there x3 times… first visit was ok…. The second one we got up and left after 15 mins as we weren’t even given menus… and the third visit was for an evening event where we waited an hour for drinks. Such a shame as it could be so nice but I will not be going back.

The best coffee I have had in LB. The paninis are great too and reasonably priced as well.

Such a shame to experience lack of accommodation and understanding for peope with young children. I arrived after my friends for a table inside (pre booked with numbers if children and babies) with my 2 year old and 6 month old and was asked to leave my pram outside which I declined as my baby was asleep in there, after coming in the lady questioned if my child could go in a highchair I declined, I was then told the problem with the pram inside meant if they came past with a hot drink and tripped and spilt OVER MY CHILD then it would by my fault. The awkwardness to relocate outside when I just wanted to walk away, do not go if you have a pram or buggy and would like to sit inside, they didn't even have the thought to relocate our table inside to a better place by putting two together, as there was only one other table occupied at the time and no reservation signs up. Very disappointed as has always been a place we enjoy meeting.

CHILDREN UNDER 6 MONTHS NOT WELCOME IF THEY ARE IN A BUGGY OR PRAM. THIS CAFE DOES NOT ACCOMODATE PRAMS AND BUGGIES INSIDE. Visited today after a friend booked a table inside. When I arrived with my newborn baby in a pram. I was very rudely asked if I could leave the pram outside. I explained my baby was 3 wks old and they asked if I could take her out. When my friend arrived with her 6 month old they peered inside the pram and said she was old enough to come out and be put in a high chair. We decided to brave the cold and sit outside as we did not feel welcome. I might have understood if they were busy but 90% of the tables were vacant. It would be clearer if they had a notice on the door banning buggies and prams. It would save the awkwardness of having to relocate to an outside table.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Waited 10 minutes to have order taken. Drink served quickly, after 30 minutes of no food I went inside where around 6 staff members were gathered and informed them to cancel my order. They looked surprised, I don’t even...

Great food but definitely not somewhere to go if you are in a hurry as the service can be very slow.
