Looks like this has recently been taken over. The place is a little shabby and bare. The barman was lovely and even gave us a free fruit shoot for our little boy. But best of all was the most beautiful curry wow Authentic and delicious, it’s a pity we are 30 mins away or we would be there every week.

I recommend all to try this place for superb food. It was a kind of hidden gem for us. I have gone past so many times and never noticed something this good was so close. If someone is looking for authentic Indian gills, I would strongly recommend a visit. It may not come across as good as some buzzing pubs around, but if you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy and drink all at a reasonable try this. The place is not well maintained and may look understaffed , it could do with more love and affection.

We went on bank holiday Sunday and we were the only ones in there at about 3pm and it was a scorcher. My friend asked about food and the barman said the chef would be there til 4 as he was coming from Birmingham. We only stayed for one drink and carried on to the next pub as there was nobody else there, and it lacked the atmosphere we were looking for on a Bank Holiday. We sat in the garden at the front to be surrounded by weeds, and broken umbrellas. This place has gone down hill. What would it take to pull up a few weeds and chuck a broken umbrella or two around the back? I felt like I was having a drink in the local park.

The pub has only recently reopened after a long closure. Not a place we frequented in the past but heard the new owners served delicious & authentic curries so we gave it a shot. We had drinks there and took the curry home. We are pleased as punch to say the curries, rice and naan were excellent and even authentic. Ever since Dilruba changed ownership we have been unable to find a decent curry locally. So happy we now have one in our neighbourhood. Thank you to The Paddox! We’ll be back!

Said it opens at 2pm but no sign of life! Car park had broken glass everywhere so watch your tyres! Looked very grotty inside through the window so probably a good job It was closed!

The worst pub in Rugby. Gin with lemonade cost £10.50 and was served in glass with lipstick marks. No music and no vibes.

This was probably the best Indian food we’ve had since we moved to Rugby. We went here on a whim as the majority of Indian food we’ve tried in Rugby hasn’t been the best. We looked at the reviews and menu prior to going and they were mixed so we gave it a go. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the menu was new when we arrived and they had everything that we usually order from an Indian mixed grill. We got quite a few items of the menu to try including mixed grill, fish pakora, chilli and masala chips and chilli chicken - we ate the lot and we weren’t disappointed with any of it. We particularly liked the fish pakora, chilli chicken and the shish on the mixed grill. The only suggestion we’d make would be to have the mixed grill on a sizzler plate. The owner was really nice, everyone was attentive, and the chef also came out to make sure everything was okay. We’ll definitely visit again!

Just what Rugby needed! Great service, mixed grill, curry and drinks. Reasonably priced too! 10/10

Lovely girl behind bar but owners need to help out more

Menu is limited at the moment due to just starting up again but what we had was well presented and delicious. Will definitely go back.

Went here last night. They've only just reopened and are starting with a limited menu. There's also a new executive chef who plans to expand the menu shortly. Drinks were excellent (especially Guinness cold) and the bar staff were super friendly, they were great with kids too. The food was good, kids had the usual nuggets/chicken burger and chips etc which was a winner. The grill stuff doesn't come out on a sizzler plate any more (too much smoke apparently) but the flavours are definitely on point. The curry was also a winner, we ordered a lamb curry extra hot and it right disappoint. The owner was really friendly too, he came over to ask for feedback and told us a bit about his plans. It sounds really good and I hope it all works out. Only downside was a food was a little slow but this was minor in the grand scheme of things and I put it down to a new chef in a new kitchen. When they've got the operation running slick that shouldn't be a problem any more. Definitely recommend you go and try it out, thank you Paddox!!

Great food, absolutely authentic North Indian! Had a mixed vegetarian platter and a spicy non-vegetarian platter for starters. We were a bit full by that time, so decided to order vegetarian biryani and tarka dal only for the main course. Finished off with kulfi. Everything exceeded our expectations! A suggestion would be to make the kulfi in-house rather than bought off the Indian shops, but that's a minor point. Terrific food... haven't had authentic Indian in the country for a long time! The beers were good too, fresh off the tap... especially the Guinness. Overall, highly recommended. And wishing Prabhu and his team every success with this venture.

Very very disappointing soggy chips because they arrived in a cardboard box. The curry sauce was only a half filled container but was very watery. I wanted to visit the restaurant but thought I'd try the takeaway first no offer of a refund either.

In as part of a fairly sizable group. Accommodated on 2 separate tables to ensure appropriate distancing in an area away from others. Staff handled this exceptionally well and were safe, but with a great degree of common sense. More than ably handling a lively but great natured group. curries were all ordered and polished off in quick order, with a wide range of options on how spicy we all wanted. Drinks were kept flowing all night and the bill was more than reasonable for the amount we ate. Many thanks for hosting such a great night.

Great atmosphere!! Although slowly limping back to precovid times but do check before visiting just in case. Some days full services aren't available.

Is it a pub that serves Indian food or a restaurant with game machines and big screens? The food was great, really flavoursome and authentic. The service was sub-par. I found it a little annoying how I had to pay for food separately from drinks and whenever I ordered drinks I would have to pay straight away. Furthermore, a giant projector screen showing sky sports just looks daft when people are trying to have a relaxing meal with family and friends. Food = great. Ambience = questionable

What a brilliant pub! Popped in for lunch today which was so tasty, especially the Aloo Tiki! The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. I will happily return.

Really nice public house great food and weds night quiz

Great to see an indian restaurant with proper indian food come to town. Would love to see them try out more dishes which are to the taste of an Indian audience. As its early days for them, I'm sure they will!

First visit after a couple of years and very impressed. Great, safe and welcoming atmosphere on a Saturday night with a tasty Indian menu. Whilst there are a few Indian restaurants in Rugby, the food here was surprising authentic. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

Surely a friendly pub, happy staff who know their customers as well as the history of Paddox in this part of Rugby. Average-prices drinks, regular events offered, car-parking is good.

Quite often pop in for a beer and found the staff very friendly. The beer is nicely kept with plenty room to sit (or stand) also in nice weather sit outside and watch the world go by on what can only be described as an entertaining junction. Must also pop in for a meal sometime as the menu looks tempting.

Been hearing from friends that this pub produces some really good food! We were not disappointed; in fact I can recommend the pork loin mash with side of excellently cooked vegetables. Atmosphere quiet, but then it could be because of it being a Tuesday night? Attentive service from the bar, all round very pleasant indeed. Will be sampling the rest of the menu soon. （╹◡╹）

Smart pub with carpark on the junction of two main roads in the Eastern suburbs of Rugby. Interesting selection of real ales, nice and reasonably priced light lunches plus very friendly service. I'd happily go there again... and might!

I've always liked the paddox. They've had a few owners recently and people have reported issues but I've never seen them. Lovely barmaid tonight, good fun and good at her job, recommended.

We could not really be classsed as regulars to this pub but we are both recognised and warmly welcomed on each visit. We tend to go for a bite to eat midweek in the early afternoon. The interior is very cosy and it's refreshing to have somewhere to relax that hasn't been 'styled' to look like every other establishment in town. It is quite common for the staff to remember what we order for both drinks and meals. Guess we must be predictable, then?! The food itself is very well cooked and incredibly tasty! I highly recommended this establishment.

Visited Paddox pub for Father's day Sunday dinner. 4 adults and 3 children. Really tasty meal and welcome from Tina was great. I do visit lunch times and have enjoyed every lunch meal I've had. Always friendly service. Would recommend

Walked in here as we needed some food and drink while we waited to go and do something as in the Area, only to be told the kitchen was closed!!!! Was some people at the bar who just stared at me and made me feel very uncomfortable as I'm covered in tattoos and they clearly live in the 1900's!!!!!. Safe to say we didn't even stay for a drink.. Not impressed,deffinately wouldn't recommend.

The Paddocks hosted a local band and created a great atmosphere with reasonably price alcohol, spacious dance floor and a couple of large speakers.

Came here for some dinner the other week just missing out on the cheap steak deal which seemed good value before 6 pm. We had pie and steak both very tasty good quick service too. Came in by accident as wasnt originally planning on having dinner but saw sign and turned round and glad we did

This was our first visit to Rugby - we came for a family event and called here for lunch. We had some great food, quickly and pleasantly served by a friendly landlord and his wife. It’s a long story but the landlord then took 2 of us onto our rendezvous ; such unexpected kindness, there are some good people in the world !

We had a large family meal here and they were really good with ensuring the kids had their food first. The staff were very friendly and the general atmosphere very welcoming. The only reason for not giving a 5 Star is that some of the steaks weren’t that great (a little dry) Would come again though

Happened on the Paddox after recent snow made travel difficult. Lovely pub and staff. Very welcoming and helpful. Had a really nice meal. Would certainly go back.

We have eaten at The Paddox many times this year and have enjoyed every meal, including a light lunch, a steak meal, fish and chips, and most recently, The Christmas menu options (which was lovely.) We thoroughly recommend a visit, such good food and welcoming, friendly staff.
