Might be nice when it’s open but was turned away at 22:45 as they were closing, and google said 01:00. Review amended to 5* until I actually attend and experience in person.

Booked the downstairs area for a private event for 90 something people. All the team were super pro the entire way through the process and ensured no stone was left unturned. That meant that all guests could relax and get on with the serious business of enjoying themselves. Bravo!

We hosting a scale-up business event in the room downstairs. The staff were lovely and really helpful. The space was great for hosting a evening of networking. The tech was set up and easy to use with a big TV, microphone and music system. The food was delicious - canape style. I would highly recommend.

Planned & Celbrated a 30th Birthday here and I cannot fault the evening one bit. A massive shout out to Sergio, who on the night was absolutely amazing. Rented the venue for a work party of almost 100 colleagues. Great sound system, lighting and bar area make for a fab party vibe and memorable night! FInger food was good and reasonably priced so no-one went hungry. Thoroughly recommended!

Had my wife’s 40th birthday party in the ground floor bar on Saturday. It couldn’t have gone any better. All the staff, from door security to chefs, bar staff and management team were so good. Always on hand and available for any support. Sergio was brilliant. Always by our side and kept me up to date on the tab. Booking the venue was so easy. Communication and expectations with Thea was brilliant. Had a brilliant meeting beforehand at the venue to see it before booking and the process was simple and what we went through was very thorough. Do not hesitate to plan a party here. The place itself is lovely, decorated nice and they didn’t say no to any of the decorations we wanted to put in ourself. I will definitely be booking another party there soon and it might just even become my new spot to always pop in for a drink, bite to eat and meet the team.

We hosted a private event at the basement bar of The Oxford Market and it was fantastic in every aspect. The team were so helpful in the weeks leading up to the event and made sure we had everything we needed on the night as well. The basement is spacious and had everything you could need including a private toilet, cloakroom and bar. Their TV worked great for our clip screening, and karaoke and there was a great booth for our DJ set. The canapes were delicious and came out right on time. Thank you for making our event special!

Hosted my wife's 30th in the basement bar at The Oxford Market. Fantastic venue and incredible staff who went above and beyond to make the night really special (special thanks to Sergio and Dana!). A little expensive but worth every penny if you are celebrating a special night!

An amazing story about the wonderful Oxford Market: My daughter's phone was stolen yesterday on Oxford Street (not an uncommon occurrence in London these days, alas), but -- as we later figured out -- the thief seemed to have realized it was a rather outdated iPhone and discarded it in an alleyway. My daughter was leaving that night to travel overseas, but reported that the phone had started pinging its location. I scoured the area the next morning but found nothing. On a hunch, I inquired at The Oxford Market to see if anyone had turned in an iPhone. It turned out that a deliveryman had noticed the phone in the alley. The restaurant's manager not only took possession of the phone in case someone came looking for it, but also charged it so that it would be able to send out its location (these pings aren't very specific, but they were enough to lead me, eventually, to the right place). The Oxford Market isn't just a great restaurant, it's run by genuinely thoughtful, helpful people!

Great little club for a private party. Didn't have food, but it looked good. Lovely decor. Good seating and plenty of room to dance.

We hired the private space downstairs for my wife's 40th Birthday. We had around 115 guests who all complemented the venue which looked amazing and was great as both a cocktail reception at the start of the event and transformed into a club night later in the evening. The whole team, and in particular the duty manager on the night, were very attentive and ensured the whole event ran smoothly. We had a plenty of complements on the drinks from the bar, where we had an option to design our own cocktails for the evening as well as the beer section. We used our own DJ - who complemented the sound system and the venue had great lighting throughout the night which really helped with the atmosphere. Overall everyone had an amazing evening and I would highly recommend this venue for a private event!

This is a difficult review to write because, honesty? I don’t want anyone else finding this place. It’s exceptional! My partner and I frequently visit London’s West End and, for years (many, many years) we’ve struggled to find somewhere decent for lunch. Today we enjoyed probably the finest calamari in London, and we DEFINITELY enjoyed THE BEST endive salad on the planet. Good sate chicken, tasty fries, attentive friendly service, bang on modern ‘old bijou’ decor, fantastic bar… we will be regulars here for sure.

Havnt been here a while and met a friend for lunch today ! What a feast we had - my friend had a salmon and myself chilly con carne . Both were so tasteful - I swear I could have licked my plate clean :) the service was friendly and very welcoming .

Arrogant bar staff who serve you as if they are doing you a favour, poor choice of deeply mediocre wine and beer and a dingy space. Avoid - there are much better places to go for a drink.

I recently celebrated my birthday at the Basement Bar in The Oxford Market. The venue was wonderful, service was exceptional and the atmosphere was exactly what I hoped for. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone considering celebrating an event!

I hosted my 40th birthday bash in the basement bar at The Oxford Market last week and my 75 guests and I had the most fabulous evening. From Craig, the events manager, to the bar manager, bar staff and security team, the whole evening was run with charm, politeness and absolute efficiency. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere fantastic and everything conduced to make for an evening to remember. Thanks to all involved!

We booked the downstairs for our staff summer party of around 40 people and our team had the best time! Craig helped us organise the event and was fantastic in the build up. On the actual day, the team (Max, Sergio, Kat & Thea) were so friendly. Highly recommend using this venue for your private events.

We held our 40th Birthday Party here last weekend. The entire team at The Oxford Market is brilliant - Craig helped us plan it all out (we hired out the entire bar downstairs) and find a DJ (DJ Wilza - who was just amazing!) and on the night, Sergio, the security guards, the bar staff and the waiters were all fantastic. The food, drinks, atmosphere and location were all outstanding too! Thank you all for such a fab evening (all of our guests - approx 100-120 people - had the best night out too!). We highly recommend this bar and will definitely return soon!

Nice place, best fish & chips i ever had!

We planned an event in the private space downstairs which was really successful. The space is really suitable for an event for 50-100 people. From booking to planning to the event itself, Craig, Sergio, Katarina and our amazing Security guard made the process effortless. The food was incredible, their management of the bar tab and catering was so professional. I would go back in a heartbeat. Well done Oxford Market!

Looking for somewhere to eat with an old friend today & stumbled on your lovely restaurant. We both had the best Fish & Chips ever .And of course wine I had the Merlot which was excellent I will definitely tell my friends & family to go & have a meal at your wonderful restaurant. Food was super yummy, staff were excellent, and drinks reasonable. Accommodated our large office at short notice and made sure the area had enough tables and seating. We can't thank you all enough and will be back!

We organised a joint birthday party here and the staff were all really friendly. There is a pleasant vibe and the drinks are good!

I can only comment on downstairs but it's dark and loud, so if you're into that vibe you'll love it. If you like a bit of vitamin D and to hear people talk, you'll hate it. I'm the latter.

I booked the Basement Bar for my 30th birthday last week. From the first inquiry all the way to the event itself, everything was absolutely brilliant. Quick, efficient communication from Craig in the lead-up to the event, and was very well looked after on the day to setup and at the actual event from Max and Sergio. The food and drinks were excellent, and the soundsystem was fantastic. Was so handy having a cloakroom, our own bathroom facilities, and the DJ equipment was top tier and very well looked after. I would highly, highly recommend this venue if you're hosting a party. I would absolutely rush back!

My partner and I hosted our engagement drinks in the private basement bar at The Oxford Market, and cannot praise it highly enough. We had such good feedback from all our guests on the food, drinks and venue space. Sergio and his team, who were looking after us on the night did an incredible job. All of our, and our guests' needs were met with kindness and attentiveness. Especially when it came to food and allergies. The space is perfect for a private party. The location is terrific being a stone throw away from oxford circus station. There is a lot of space in the venue for both standing and seating and the added benefit of having private bathroom facilities and a cloakroom exclusively for you and your guests. The option to customise the names of their tasty cocktails was also a great hit with the guests - and made the event more personal to us. We are looking forward to going back soon! Definitely a new front runner when considering party venues in the future (for us and our guests!). Thank you so much to Craig, Jamie, Sergio, Max, Kat & Emmanuel and the rest of the fantastic team who made our event so perfect!

Came for a few after work drinks and nibbles and absolutely love the vibe of this bar. The staff were so friendly, helpful and bubbly. The food was gorgeous. It was only £8 per sharing plate so pretty normal for London and I would say good value for money considering how tasty they are. I can happily say my colleagues and I will be coming back more regularly!

Had a lovely evening at the Oxford Market at the weekend. The wine list is better than your average pub list, nice nibbles, staff friendly and attentive. There's a decent size outdoor space that would be great in the summer.

Extremely overpriced drinks. Half the bar staff seemed untrained, and others, frankly, were a little too full of themselves. The buffet served was very good, and the waiting staff were friendly, warm, and welcoming. Not somewhere I would choose to promote as a venue for a function.

Looking for somewhere reasonable around Oxford Circus we found this gem of a place by accident. What a great find. Sharing plates seem to be their new thing at the moment and we will need to go again and taste the plates we missed on our first visit. Divine is not an overstatement.

I threw a secret birthday party for my husband. The staff there from the manager (Sergio) to bartender (Kat) went over and beyond to be helpful. They helped me setting up the venue, coordinate the arrival, advised on lighting and music levels to keep people dancing. Overall because of them, I think everyone enjoyed the party that much more enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend the venue for private parties. Booking process with Craig was super smooth too. I would like to thank the Bookings & Events team and all the Bar staff at The Oxford Market for making my wife's birthday party on the 3rd Feb a truly memorable event. Craig, Max, door man and all the bar team met all my requests and requirements. The Staff are very warm and friendly, the Food and drinks perfect for our event 5 star. The venue is clean, elegant ,spacious with a more than adequate sound system. Great atmosphere on our night and on my visits prior to the event. I would recommend The Oxford Market for a casual visit or a truly memorable event/function.

Nice little place just off the main drag, heating seating out the front which is welcome along with blankets. Good selection of drinks and staff were friendly and attentive.

We had a private event at the venue, which we only booked a week in advance. The team were super responsive in accommodating us in the lead up to the event, the space downstairs worked perfectly for our small group of 50 people and the staff / team were very helpful and polite. Would highly recommend and use again.

We've got the worst situation in this PUB. We was 5 guys and ordered 5 pints of beer. After 10 min waitress said something is wrong with a line beer. We waited 10 min more to sort it out. Half of menu was unavailable. Food it's a bit expensive. We've got 5 pinta of Amstel at the end and was without sparkling and taste. At the end we paid £99 for 5 pints of beer, 3 portions of fries ans 2 portions of haloumi. I was very unhappy . From £99, £12 was for Service charge, service charge for what? For waiting 20 min for a pint of beer and no food at that moment? Please in the future, be little bit profesional, check beer lines before customer order, prepare ingredients in the kitchen,try tl be most respectful to customers. To be honest, this PUB was the worst I ever been. Wake up please, is Central of London.

Had my 30th birthday here and hired out the whole basement. Was such a great night, and I had lots of compliments on the venue. Loved having our own space, with bar, toilets and cloakroom and renaming the cocktails for a personalised touch was great too. I’ve been to the Oxford Market twice now! Once in the Basement for a 30th party and the second time was in December for a surprise party (The ground floor) Both my experiences have been fantastic! The manager Craig is so lovely, extremely accommodating and helpful! On the run up to the surprise party, Craig kept the communication going and was so supportive! We had a call on the day of the event to make sure all was well on our end too. The surprise was great, all the staff were extremely hospitable and friendly ensuring myself and our guests had a great experience! Both the ground floor and the basement are beautiful, they don’t need much decoration at all, but you can hire some of you want! The canapés were delicious and there was enough food for everyone! Overall we had a great time and I look forward to coming down again! Thank you Oxford Market 😆

We hired the private space downstairs for my 40th Birthday party in December 2023. This place is a hidden gem in London. Access to the room is via a private entrance to the side of the main restaurant access. we had around 80 guests who all complimented the venue and the food. We brought our own DJ who was able to bring his own controller and plug it into the sound system. The bar staff on the night were brilliant and very attentitive. The whole event was managed exquisitely by Craig. Highly recommend this space - book early during peak times!!

Inside was nice although quite small. My problem was with the cocktails; not very nice for the price! They also (bizarrely) had over-head heaters on. I spied one above us that was on 30 degrees!! Ridiculous for inside a busy pub/bar

A really lovely bar downstairs with plenty of space to dance. I visited this bar twice for special occasions and both times I had a great time dancing away and sipping on delicious cocktails. I would highly recommend it as a venue to hire.

I had the pleasure of hosting my 30th birthday on the ground floor at The Oxford Market last Saturday and it was a perfect evening.
