The orchid in Glasgow City

Visit the orchid tonight usually love going there for my food but on my visit to there I noticed the girl on the counter wasnt there which is unusual for the weekend so miss that girl cause she makes me want to go in to the place cause the girl is so nice and pleasant to me.so dissapointed

Hi I'm a very good customer of the orchid Chinese I find prompt service food very good and the staff are so friendly I've tried nearly every meal on the menu and everything is full of flavour and so tasty.i would advice any of my friends and family to visit and they won't be disappointed they will come back for more I give it 5 stars anytime.xxx

I really like this place! The tofu is flavoursome and noodles were full of veg and not greasy. The service is prompt and professional. Very good.

Our local place never fails to serve fresh, tasty, speedy food. Husband not great with onions so they substitute other veg.

This place has went downhill over the last few years. Wrong orders, inedible food. Had had its last chance and is now to be avoided. Fried rice with everything to pad out dishes. Ordered Chicken dish with fried rice as a side. Chicken dish was only 1/3 chicken and 2/3 fried rice in the same carton. Till staff and delivery staff swearing at each other in front of kids waiting in the shop with their parents.

Tried a couple of dishes which weren't on the menu in my last local takeaway and wasn't disappointed. Very tasty and good service.

Chose this one as it was on the road home and thought I'd give it a go. It's a takeaway that been there for quite a while now on Cathcart Road between Prospecthill Rd and Mount Annan Drive. Standard Chinese Takeaway place and it has a lot of competition in the area. I decided to try the meal for 1 deal at £8.60 (January 2014). You get to choose a soup an appetiser and a main meal from the menu, certain dishes may incur a supplement. Soup:- Chicken And Sweetcorn. Standard portion size, quite watery and very bland. Devoid of seasoning. Appetiser:- BBQ Spare Ribs with gravy. Small portion with an ok sauce, not bad but not brilliant either. Main:- Special Curry with Chips (50p supplement because it's the special). Big portion size. Beef, King Prawn, Char Sui Pork and Chicken. This was one of the worst Chinese Curry's I've tasted. Very runny sauce with no spice or flavour. The chicken pieces were quite rubbery. A very poor quality dish. Value for the special meal deal seems good but the overall quality and flavours were so poor, the value becomes irrelevant. Unfortunately, I will not be trying this place again. My lowest score for a while.
