If I could I would give 0 stars waited nearly two hours for our order for it just not to show up what a disgrace !! Absolute Joke of a takeaway!! Will be at your door tomorrow for OUR REFUND !!

Updated April '24. This was our favourite Chinese takeaway for years, had a 5 star rating on here to back that up, but not any more. First time ordering this year and the food was terrible. Delivery took well over an hour, food was stone cold on arrival. Salt & chilli chicken was fatty, stringy and the supposed lightly crisped batter was thick and soggy. Spring rolls were swimming in cold, congealing oil, chips were cold and spoiled, rice was stale and tasteless. Chicken & char siu pork dish was drier than a sandal, and less tasty. They have either changed ownership or replaced all of their kitchen staff. The (lack of) quality of ingredients was clearly a big factor in just how poor this was.The poor quality of food was simply unrecognisable when compared to last year. Prices have gone way up, quality has gone way down. Go elsewhere, not worth anyone paying for this rubbish!

Delivery was an hour late after 2 calls to the restaurant each time being promised it was on it’s way. When did you stop adding gravy to the chicken fried rice? It was so dry it was inedible and tasteless. Other dish ordered was awful as well, I used to love this place, never ordering again.

Got a delivery tonight absolutely disgusting no way of contacting them , never again my daughter has just been sick

Absolutely guff! I don’t know how they get away with it? I’ve not been in years and since “the fifteenth” moved away I thought I’d give it a go again! I should have kept my money, bland boring food, place is a dump too. I’ll have a slice of toast next time

Food is good but the people on the phone are clueless saying things aren’t on the menu yet I order that thing every week, constantly asking to repeat things if it’s too loud then move away from the noise use your Brains

Wanted to try but it’s cash only, despite it not being 1987.

My boyfriend and I get a Chinese quite a lot from Cathay Cuisine. We honestly couldn’t fault it at all. From the lovely lovely staff, immaculate shop, and amazing food! We look forward to our Chinese always. Thank you so much guys!

Another tasty meal and great value.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls in batter, the batter was doughy, and thi sauce was so thin as to be almost tasteles. Not impressed. I have used them before, their meals were usually a decent standard, but not this time

My girlfriends mum thought she'd treat us with a takeout, something we hardly do so we were all throughly looking forward to it. The delivery arrived 5 minutes early so I can't fault that part of the meal in any way. But thats where the positives end. The prawn toast we got was simultaneously soggy and burnt, a throughly disgusting combination that was not helped by the complete lack of flavour. The prawn fried noodles were badly cooked prawns inside bland, deep fried nests of noodles that weren't even so much as salted let alone flavoured in any way, all onto a soggy pile of chips. Finally and worst of all were the dumplings, we got the mixed so not quite sure what the all were, the first ones were okay but the 'meatball'(?) Dumplings were completely raw, we couldn't eat any more of the food after we saw them as we were all digusted. They must have been cooked for all of 5 seconds as they were fully pink inside. The hot and sour soup was okay. I would recommend looking somewhere else to find dinner.

Probably the worse Chinese I've ever experienced. Ordered from them at 1900. At 2100 they tell us they've only just started to prepare our order! Over an hour later still, no order has arrived!

Just got a delivery and was disgusting ,,cold gloop for curry sauce !!!

Meal was awful ,ribs were tough with very little sauce ,meat in the chow mein was dry the sauce that came with it was thick and lumpy ,fried egg was hard dirty looking ,as if cooked in a duty pan , definitely won't be going back

Their sweet and sour chicken balls with fried rice is top notch, a wee bit dearer than others but very good portions, nice to watch the staff working in the kitchen in this takeaway...

they cross contaminated food for vegatarian and gave spicy chicken in veg noodles and when told i just got a whole load of attitude and when asked for owners contact details phone put down and refund issued no sorry just aggression for girl on phone

The tempura was extremely soggy and inedible. I'd take it off menu as doesn't travel well, alt try a foil container.

Love this place. Great tasting food as always but £4.20 for only 6 pieces of vegetable pakora is ridiculous!

Salt and chilli chips to die for. Not my usual Chinese and I always find it hard to find one that lives upto my usual when it is closed. However, this is definitely a good contender.

Chicken satay tasted good but the chicken, whilst cooked, was inconsistent in temperature. Simply not warm enough. Had no issue with the curry.

I never even got my damn food to really review because I had to wait for 2hours...2hours. I've never experienced incompetence at this level before.

More than two hours since ordering and still no food. We called and were promised 20 minutes after waiting an hour and a half. Last time we ordered over the phone they made a mess of it AND we ended getting stung. We',ve been regular customers of this place for years but will NEVER use them again.

Technically can't review it as it's still not here. We ordered at 7.38 it's now 9.42 no joke. Over two hours. Supposed to deliver by 8.50. Phoned repeatedly and it's 'with the driver'. Presumably he's scranned it. The restaurant have confirmed on JustEat that they've delivered and I've had an email through to review the food. I hope 'invisible' suffices. If they'd have been straight up with how long this would've taken we would never have ordered. There's no rage quite like pure starvin on a Saturday night in rage. Never again.

I asked for one thing: "Your note: Could I have the chicken chopped curry withi no onions please, thank you." I got a curry full of onions which when removed was 3/4 of the curry, I will NEVER order from here again. Horrible slow service who won't read instruction even when politely put.

Amazing chilli and salt onion rings

1 hour 45 minutes on a Tuesday night. Called them after 1 hour 20mins and they said the driver left 10 minutes ago. 25 miuns later he appeared so if had left 35 minutes before getting to my door. Food was very poor quality and very disappointing. First order and last order. Avoid.

Beef was rubbery and curry didn't resemble a massaman as I know it. Chips were fine, has put me off the restaurant.

First time ordering from here and it was a bit disappointing. The mushroom curry was ok but the curry sauce was very greasy and separated. The rice and chips seemed a bit stale and one of the vegetable spring rolls tasted mouldy.

We have used this restaurant many times and it never disappoints. Meals are always delicious, hot and fresh. Delivery times are also great, pretty sure my last order was in within 20-25 mins. Definitely one of our favourites!

By far the best Chinese on the south side; quick delivery, never get an order wrong, and the food is delicious.

I always order from here. Service and food great. I had a relative staying once who has quite specific dietary needs and they catered for that. Their vegetarian options are extensive also. Would highly recommend.

The food was absolutely amazing- Singapore fried rice was so tasty and massive portion pumped full of huge prawns. The hubby had some special ....he loved it. I tasted the sweetcorn & chicken soup and it was amazing. Will 100% order again!

Started to think I perhaps didn't like Chinese food as I hadn't found a takeaway I liked in years! However, that all changed tonight! Beautiful food, really impressive menu and everything tasted so fresh. Definitely will use again.

Really disappointing meal after 2 recent good experiences. Soggy, tasteless food, along with very poor quality pakora. Very disappointing. Arrived early though.

My chicken satay was chicken and curry sauce, the fish was so greasy we couldn't eat it and the salt n chili chips were so soggy and tasteless, so disappointed by this order.

Deep fried garlic chilli chicken is to die for! Sweet and Sour chicken nice....4.5/5. Just not crispy enough though. Singapore noodles nice except for the spam!

Ordered salt and chilli chicken and it's nothing like salt and chilli chicken. Phoned up to complain and they said that's just their style, even though it had no chilli's at all.

My pakora was the size of a 2 pound coin 😂 honestly don't order from here go somewhere else! Wish I could upload a picture it's a joke 😂

The food was really good as it has been before when we've ordered, but we waited for nearly 2 hours for it to arrive last night. I appreciate under-staffing happens but when I called for an update 80 mins after ordering I was given no explanation but was just told that our meal was being cooked and would be another 10-15 minutes (it was actually another 35 minutes). Will order from another branch next time.

I found the barbecue gravy was really runny wasn't too nice

Had to cancel order after waiting almost two hours (and still no sign of food arriving). Phoned restaurant three times and asked where order was and each time they said on its way. They said they'd give me refund so will be interested to see if they actually do.

Ordered mixed seafood red Thai curry. Because I usually love this was prepared to pay £9. No coconut in sight very little seafood hot and bland. Quite disappointefd, feel very ripped off!

We were disappointed with our order. The food was cold and tasteless. Also we left a note for the driver not to press the buzzer as our baby was sleeping, he pressed the buzzer and when I said to him he was completely unapologetic. I don't think we will be ordering from here again.

Really tasty could have done with a few more Prawns for the cost. Special fried rice was quite small too.

I ordered my meal to be delivered at 6.40 as I had guests coming and it arrived at 6.10 10 minutes after I ordered it. It was then cold and the chips were ruined by the time my guests arrived.

Waited over 95mins for our food when it advised at order placement it would be delivered in 45mins ... Food was cold & tasteless really disappointed as have tried the other branch in Shawlands and we're hoping for the same standard would not recommend it won't be visiting again

Ordered over £21 worth of food from them. Salt and chilli chicken was fatty and chewy. Disgusting. Phoned up to complain and got nothing but bad service from the woman on the phone as she clearly never cared. According to her because I've not ordered from them before as usually go to the one in castlemilk that it doesn't matter! Least to say I'll never be ordering from them again and will be phoning up just eat customer services to put in a complaint!

Very enjoyable. Best lemon chicken I've had in a long time. Perfect. Crispy beef with plenty sauce. Good portions & delivery time was quicker than expected.

guys guys guys how could you? major major faux pas, you forgot the pakora sauce, how can you have chicken pakora with no sauce? its just chicken sake guys am heavy depressed now. forget anything but not the pakora sauce. man youve ruined my life thanks guys
