We had a meal here after a dance show at a local theatre. We had family with us who had travelled a long way and so we needed somewhere with easy access for their onward journey. We have been to the Orchard before but not for quite some time. I had booked a table but needed to change the time so called in earlier. That wasn't a problem. Actually arrived early than rescheduled time and were seated straight away but advised that there would be a short wait to order food (15 mins but we still waiting for some of our party to arrive so wasn't an issue) . Again no problem as we were earlier than planned. However they did take our drinks order in the meantime. Jay took our orders and was incredibly attentive throughout the whole meal bringing refill drinks when asked and checking everything was OK. All staff that we came across were really friendly but Jay was just amazing and an asset to the restaurant. Well worth a visit.

Don't go, it's grim, tired and the food is bad. Desperately in need of a refurb and investment. Urgently in need of a deep clean. Leaking ceilings, sticky surfaces, gross carpet. The food was very poor, over cooked and dry. Steak, ribs, chicken, all poorly cooked. I felt sorry for our server as the kitchen also made errors with 2 out of 4 orders (with no good will offered). At 8pm on a Saturday this place used to be busy, it's pretty obvious why it's now almost dead. As a local family, we won't be going again.

It was my day off today so i decided to go as a family to the beefeater for breakfast! You just cannot get better than a premier inn breakfast,we haven’t done one since the 5th of September so decided to go back!It was a fantastic experience all round. The food was delicious, buffet was very well stocked up.Plenty of fruit to choose from, plenty of toast, plenty of spreads for you’re toast, plenty of continental options such as pan au chocolats, pancakes, crumpets, crossaints, pastries etc. Also juices filled to a nice level too,has cranberry, orange, apple juice and water in stock. Also had a coffee station too. They also had plenty of cereals and yoghurts in stock. Also hot cooked options were delicious too,I had the bacon and double mushrooms for my hot cooked options.Mushrooms were delicious, juicy and cooked well.Bacon was delicious and streaky and brought back Disneyland memories. The bacon here is the U.K. replica of a Disneyland bacon breakfast. Also apple and bananas were delicious too.Gluten free toast was delicious as well and Nutella added flavour. The mixed berry’s were delicious as well. Also going back to the buffet, just like you can get different sizes of fries in McDonald’s you can get different sizes of plates in the buffet here, small, medium and large which I loved and also you can freestyle it you’re way eg apples, toast and berry’s.But it’s great for different appetites or whether you only fancy a little bit of it or a lot of it.Also I liked it that they put the berry’s and mixed fruits under ice to keep it ice cold which is great to make it fresh,no wonder they are displaying their 5 hygiene rating sticker loud and proud. However I would have liked the plates to be slightly cleaner in the buffet. Also service was great too very polite and friendly waitress, when I was ordering my bacon she asked it whether I wanted it vegetarian or normal.Very accommodating to my gluten allergy too. Also I was able to order double mushrooms as well, with no extra uplift which is great because In another breakfast place for example Frankie and Benny’s you would probably have to pay extra for double mushrooms. But here the value is so great it gives you unlimited cooked and continental options and unlimited juices, water and coffee for just £9.99 and If you are a kid, lucky you, you get to eat free if you are with an adult!Up to 2 kids per adult under 16 eat free! The hot cooked options were piping hot too and a great portion size.Service was also quick too I was shocked to see my order on the pass when getting my first bits from the buffet. Also there were no glasses for the juice but when we pointed this out to the waitress she got a whole massive tray of them instantly which was great!Much quicker service than in Nando’s or McDonald’s.The atmosphere and decor was nice including Christmas decs. Also music mix was lovely too with 90% of the songs being Christmas songs. Also it wasn’t too busy either.Unfortunately the Toilets in the restaurant area are flooded! Also pay at the desk as well.Would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

You can drive there and park, to eat and drink. I believe you need to book the table, otherwise you will be offered to sit in the area without the service, if it's not too busy. There, you'll need to self order food and drink at the bar. Similar to Wetherspoons restaurant. The food will be brought to your numbered table. We had a beef sirloin, but with a disappointment due to very thin slices of the beef. Food was kind of tasteless, unless you added plenty of salt, pepper, sauces like ketchup, mayo or a mustard. Good wine though. There was not much of the service, so can't give more stars for it.

We stayed at the Premier Inn attached to this restaurant. We decided to go out for a meal here on the first night. What a massive mistake! We waited ages for the food to arrive and when it did, the food was cold. My grandson's meal was inedible. He had a steak and was unable to eat it because it was almost raw and contained so much grizzle. I couldn't eat my food as it contained more chillies than Calamari and was again, extremely cold. My daughter had a mixed grill that was overcooked and again, freezing cold. We sent my Grandson's meal back and complained about the rest of the food but the kitchen staff just made excuses and were really rude. The kitchen staff were also loud and unprofessional. Shouting, laughing out loud and arguing. Our server was really nice however. Sorry, won't be returning.

Absolutely awful! I've never posted a negative review previously. Warning Sunday lunch is to be avoided. Most, if not all elements are pre cooked on mass and left by hot plate area, result being a cold plate of food which two of our party Sent back and changed for something safer (burger and chips) after realising how the plate was prepared. Unfortunately the medium rare steak was also well done. Drinks took an entering to arrive. Had to ask for dessert menu after along wait. There were a few other monents that were not up to a standard sadly. Without exaggeration there were 5 more plates of food returned whist our party was sat at the table all for being cold, I'm almost certain it was all roast dinners. Our waitresses was polite and tried to serve as best as possible but as more tables were seated her tasks became to great. Towards the end of our lunch we could only see the funny side of how bad the experience was... Disappointingly as there is only a few times a year we get to meet and enjoy a meal as a family, yesterday was soo bad i felt moved to write this balanced but truthful review. The main motivation being to (if your still reading this....) avoid and book elsewhere. You have now been warned.

The last time we had eaten at The Orchard Beefeater was before COVID and I have been visiting the place occasionally since the seventies. It has had its ups and downs but I had no reason to believe our midweek lunch would be anything to write home about. But it was so here I am at the keyboard. We got there just before noon and the first thing we noticed was just how run down the building exterior is looking. A low roof section facing the car park even has a hole in it. Further on the model Spitfire in the front garden looked sad and forgotten. This is a memorial to the RAF Squadrons manned by brave Polish pilots during the war. I would imagine that if the thing is not refurbished any time soon the fabric of the model will rot. Many of the pilots were fighter aces and in the past the monument has been religiously looked after, affording it the gravitas it deserves. Approaching the doors I was surprised to see the handles were quite clearly sawn-off lengths of scaffold. As well as looking ridiculous the doors were consequently very heavy. The smell between the outer and inner doors, and into the foyer, added to the impression that the managers of this branch need to pull their socks up. I find this unusual because in my experience any pub or restaurant affiliated to a hotel next door has to outperform lest it bring embarrassment on the other brand. In this case I felt that Beefeater was letting down Premier Inn and their customers. Inside we were shown to a table that had rock salt on the seats both sides. Someone's idea of cleaning the table obviously meant depositing the mess on the chairs. A lady sat at the next table along said she too had to wipe salt off the seats. Another lunchtime customer, shown to a table by the window, was put off by stains on both chair cushions so that party went off to find somewhere else to sit. In spite of all this I still had no intention of writing a review. Mrs Reviewer ordered the salmon and I the pork ribs. It came with coleslaw, BBQ sauce and skinny fries. On the plate it all looked delicious and I was eager to tuck in. The meat fell off the bone just perfectly and in the mouth the texture was spot on. Then it all went horribly wrong. I cannot describe the taste other than to say it was unpleasant. Being very hungry I tried dousing the pork in the BBQ sauce but that did nothing. I thought that if made allies of the 'slaw and fries together we could beat the horribly tasting pork into submission but alas, both were completely tasteless and of no help whatsoever. As you can see I could only manage 3 ribs before giving in. In lieu of an apology, or by way of an explanation, the waitress explained that the dishes are brought in pre-prepared. That itself begs the question, if the hygiene rating on the Beefeater door says 5 out of 5, how are we supposed to know anything about the place where these meals are being made? What is their hygiene rating? What are their employees personal habits? How are ingredients stored there? Anyway, although Mrs reviewer rated her salmon as 3/5 I left hungry and could only think of getting to the Wimpy in Ruislip High Street, ASAP. To their credit Beefeater did remove the price of my rack of ribs off the bill and considering the dish appears to get the thumbs-up in other folks' reviews, I suppose I was just unlucky.

Our family booked this venue because it could accommodate a christening reception for about 80-100 guests. First the (few) positive remarks. It was a sunny day and the outside space was lovely, beautifully landscaped and ideal for the children, with numerous wooden tables. There was plenty of space indoors as well. Now, the other comments. The light-coloured upholstery on the indoor chairs was very visibly dirty, and one arm of my chair wobbled severely, a concern as I’m disabled. We had to wait about half an hour before sandwiches were finally set out, and the rest of the simple buffet food followed slowly after another half hour. The cheese & tomato sandwiches were very poor—the cheddar was so mild that it lacked any flavour and the tomato slice was tiny. The pollock fish bites were delicious and obviously freshly made, being piping hot and with a light crispy coating. The hefty sausage roll slices were also distinctively flavoured, not overly greasy and were generous-sized. Chicken goujons were standard, not a hint of rosemary as described on the menu, and served with BBQ sauce doubtless from a bottle. I didn’t try the chips but the mini jacket potatoes were tough-skinned, perhaps spent too long in the oven. Obviously nothing to say about the crisps. Perhaps we could have chosen better items for the buffet, but most of dishes we had were a big letdown. Sadly, cannot recommend this place.

Well, what a disappointing experience, I’ll try and keep this brief. I visited the Orchard with my wife for dinner, I had a starter of chicken wings, this consisted of 4 anemic looking wings served with zero presentation. We both had a sirloin steak for main course served with chips and a sauce. Both meals were served on cold plates, the steaks were quite simply the poorest quality you can imagine; full of fat and gristle, the mushroom could have been a leather off cut and the tomato…. a very tired item of salad. I obviously expressed my dissatisfaction to the waitress and to be fair she was understanding and offered a substantial reduction for the very poor excuse for a meal. This is not the first time I’ve been served up very poor food at a Beefeater restaurant and I often wonder if the senior management of this company have clue what is going on or can even be bothered to find out.

They shouldn’t let customers see them cooking in the kitchen because they micowave everything. Saw them pull the pie out with their bare hands and took 2 people to cut into the pie and pull up the lid and discuss for over a minute whether the pie looked cooked. The mash was scooped out of a white tub and peas were microwaved to death. My other half got ribs and chicken dry as a bone and absolutely no sauce. My first time here, and my last (June 2023). A very mixed bag. Starting with the positive: big car park, lovely grounds, spacious interior that was comfortable in the 29 degree heat outside, very pleasant & accommodating waitress called Eva. Gin & tonic nice and cold in a large wine glass. Sirloin steak was very tasty. House coleslaw was fresh, though under-seasoned. Negative: if I hadn’t had good genuine nachos in California , I would never order them again based on Beefeater’s version. The deconstructed guacamole was a big fail, especially with totally flavourless fresh tomato and no discernible lemon juice to brighten it. The triple-cooked chips were utterly bland, needing ketchup to taste of anything, and were 100 calories *more* than the skinny chips! The pepper sauce for my steak had only a few peppercorns in it and, if made in house, was probably thickened with flour rather than reduced; had an out-of-the-packet consistency and flavour. I’m 75 and disabled, and my walking frame caught on the entry carpet which rucked up. I could have so easily fallen! Greeter said it was the first time that had happened, didn’t show the least concern. Not good enough. I wonder if they will correct the problem?

I visited here with a couple of friends for a long awaited catch up and I was pleasantly surprised. Having visited a few years ago, I wasn't really expecting much, but it was great! It's had a lovely refurb and has a really nice 'feel'...

Such a shame! I've been coming to the beefeater for the last 30+ years but not been since the whole COVID thing and decided to come this evening as I've been wanting to visit for a bit. I feel gutted at how bad this place has become. The two ladies serving are doing their best but it's an impossible ask to expect them to take orders, bring food, clean up and take payment. There is a feeling that either management or higher up want this place to go down to the point of being unviable so they can sell it off for development. My starter was fair though not the crunchy coated wings I expected; more soggy but at least a modicum of flavour. My main however was dreadful: The lettuce was old, dried, brown and completely unappealing, the fries were cold; having seen our meal sitting at the food station for a long period of time waiting to be collected by the staff, the jacket potato the same and the chicken just covered in BBQ sauce in some vain attempt at imparting some flavour. My partner's burger was just about edible though the bun itself felt like it had just been defrosted. I complained to the manger who was amiable though didn't seem surprised so no doubt I'm not the first to raise an issue. I'm so disappointed to have had this experience, I have really fond memories of coming here on early dates with my partner, birthday celebrations, getting to know old members of staff like Mo, Anne, Emily and Linda, being somewhere to go for a dinner after a long day at work knowing we'd get a good feed at a reasonable price but I feel this will be the last time I go there for a meal unless something dramatic happens to improve it. The ladies serving us couldn't have done more, they're trying to do their best and i feel bad for them that they're being let down by incompetent management. I really hope there's improvement.

Really poor. The food was cold and dry. Our server was totally unfriendly, and when we said we were unhappy with our food, she just took our plates and walked away. I’m really surprised by the 5* reviews because the last time we ate there...

It’s not worth the visit, very poor service. Staff not knowledgeable, disorganised front of house, unclean. Staff do not come to front to greet you, then saw them turning away people with no booking for the restaurant area to the bar area, but the restaurant was less than half full. Waiting times were long, even just to get drinks. The staff were unfriendly and the lady was constantly texting on her phone, was obviously more important than the customers. Place was really dirty, carpets look eaten, windows and ledges stained, attention to cleanliness evident in the areas not spot cleaned. Came as part of the Premier Inn, it’s put me off visiting more Beefeaters in future. The premier inn next door was spot on though.

Haven't been for a few months as service was very slow. Unfortunately nothings has changed. Not very busy but sill slow service. Waited 10 mins for a side to go with main and also condiments, so food going cold waiting roast was overcooked with burnt potatoes and parsnips and pigs in blankets bacon just shattered. A real shame as this used to be the restaurant of choice for a family meal out

Nice looking place but incredibly there was only 1 member of staff working on a Sunday morning! The manager wasn't in until 11.30 and the poor waitress was run ragged and understandably grumpy. Waited ages for our food which after an hour and a half didn't turn up and there was no juice out or plates for toast etc. The place is clearly very very poorly managed! We walked out after our ridiculously long wait. Terrible.

Lovely beefeater restaurant which is easily accessible. Were short staffed on my visit, but this didn't affect service. Food was the normal beefeater fare with vegetarian and vegan options available - which was good. Let down by the Chef arguing with a manager in the kitchen during service which was audible throughout the restaurant area.

Visited here for a family breakfast to meet our 2 day old grandson. I've NEVER had such a dismal breakfast not even at boarding school. It was table service not a buffet. which was fine however we waited 15 minutes to have our order taken, so expected it all to be freshly cooked and piping hot. Mushrooms were stone cold, everything else was lukewarm. we had to take napkins and extra cutlery from another table, most of them were dirty. There were no spoons for coffee, yogurts or fruit salad. Will never go here again.

We used to go often before the pandemic and we heard it had gone downhill since, but we gave it a go last weekend. The room still looks lovely, the staff was very friendly, but the food was just awful... we both went for the BBQ sauce burger. The burger was dry, the bread was dry (despite having sauce on it), the BBQ sauce either wasn't there or was tasteless. I kept seeing burger being left under the heating light for ages, so I guess that's why ours were so dry. The restaurant wasn't busy, so there's no excuse to leave them there for so long. Our kids had the kids' menu: 1 dry burger, 1 mac n cheese that was left after 1 bite (it was cold too) and 1 happy spag bolognese. We had unlimited drinks, but had to remind the waitress to bring a refill (we asked for 2, but she came back with 1). It is a real shame. If they sort out the kitchen, they have everything else to make it work!

Very disappointed with the service offered by the staff. They definitely need training on hospitality and customer service. Highly unprofessional and unwelcoming. We went for a breakfast 🥞🍳 with family. For most of the breakfast food they said 'not available'. No milk 🥛 in the coffee ☕ machine which we understand. But, just after finishing the breakfast, they added milk in the machine. No apologies and no courtesy.

Went for mother's day meal as a party of 9. Worse part was when I saw 2 chefs using their bare hands to plate up food for several orders! For example, grabbing a handful of chips and throwing onto plate. Told the manager who stopped them but we didn't recieve our food until after 3pm so everyone served before us that day was likely served unhygenic meals. I also filmed part of this incident. Service was so slow as took 30 mins before they took our food order and then over another 30 before we received our meals. As we had had to pre-book, surely the restaurant should have been prepared for staff needed. We decided not to stay for dessert and the restaurant did give us a discount for slow service.

Order online for delivery two pizzas, 1 deep pan and 1 thin crust, two turned up but with wrong toppings, rang them and was told replacement would be with me in 45 mins, just 1 turned up, rang them again and was told thin crust and deep pan are the same thing, asked why I wasn’t happy as I now had 3 pizzas, I said no matter how many you sent, I just wanted the ones I ordered and paid for! Asked for a refund , was told it’s not their fault, as it’s a franchise you can not contact head office. So , no correct pizza and no refund……..poor show
