Spuntino in Hillingdon

I was not happy with the experience at all,it seemed that solo travelers are crammed together,I had to climb over a stressed upset lady with inches between us,there were bigger empty tables elsewhere,the food was ok but overpriced,when it came to paying I paid by card and when I did not tip I got a tut and a sarcastic thank you very much,when I finished my meal I offered to go sit at bar but was told or shouted at by the same waiter I could not move,it would have made sense for me to leave the tidy bit of space for another poor solo person to sit,altogether very unhappy with experience

Great service and food. Really enjoyed the background music as well. Served by a bubbly, friendly Czech lady called Katerina. A great experience that set me up for a day of travelling!

Since the ‘80’s London restaurants have improved exponentially. If you crave the good old days of warm beer, lousy service and incredibly crap food, check this out. Have the food on the plane instead. It will be better

Great atmosphere despite being in an airport. The music and decoration feels like a regular diner. The service is quick and accommodating, which I love.

We decided to try this restaurant as we had not seen it before We ordered 2 crab Mac and cheese which had to be returned as cold and this was replaced so fine so far. The dish and food was then served hot but there was little evidence of crab or leek unless it was simply a flavouring. When the bill came we questioned the waitress ,who provided us with good service , and was advised she would ask the manager to speak to us which was fine as we prefer to make observations rather than complain. The manager was noticed near to our table and in discussion with the waitress so we expected at any minute to be able to discuss the issues with the manager. In the event the manager disappeared and the waitress came with a reduced bill. We do not routinely raise issues with a view to a reduced bill. We would prefer to pass our observations to help improve things. It is a busy venue so no doubt our custom will not be missed in future. But at least we tried it!

I am currently here. I had ordered poached eggs. They arrived cold, so I had to ask for them to be sent back. A new dish arrived ("watch out for the plate, it's very hot!"). These eggs were marginally better, but still not hot. Either side of me saw people saying the same thing about their food. The servers were great (especially Andrea), but the food is/was way below what I would/should have expected. PS To be fair, I was given some money off, because of the above!

Highly recommended! I am happy with the service I received from my server named Yvon. She look after me very well and gave me good recommendation of food which is the chicken bap that I enjoyed most! I will surely visit spuntino again!

Good breakfast same price as the curator across the hallway but unlike them they were open. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere

We came here as there wasn't a huge queue and the menu looked nice. We shared poached eggs on toast and buttermilk pancakes. The quality was very good but the portions were ridiculously stingy for the price. Poached eggs on toast consisted of 2 poached eggs on ONE piece of toast which was outrageous for £9.50. Similarly the pancakes were supposed to come with maple syrup, coconut yoghurt and fruit but there was so little topping it was all rather dry. To be fair when the waiter asked how our breakfast was we told him and more yoghurt and toast came out which was great service. The coffee was nice.

Poor. I ordered mushrooms on toast and there was less than one mushroom on the piece of bread. Misleading to sell this as mushrooms on toast.

I never expect much from a meal in an airport; today has changed that. The burger was in the top 3 burgers I’ve ever had and it wasn’t a rip off at all. The waitress, Anna, was the loveliest lady and was so welcoming and lovely with my girls. Has set the bar high for any future airport meals!

Was here for breakfast last week with my 12 year old. The menu offered a good selection of tasty sounding options. I had the I had the Eggs Royale plus a perfect Bloody Mary, whilst my son had the Reuben (he said it was one of the best he had ever had!). Our food was delicious and the service was excellent – polite, friendly and attentive. Perfect start to our holiday!
