Nice food.Nice location.Friendly staff.Tad expensive but paying to eat a beautiful location.

The cream teas were awesome, they even had a gluten free scone for my cream tea and actually gave me two little ones to make up for the fact the regular one (that my friend had) is so large!! Amazing service, definitely coming back!

Went over for lunch, and the food was amazing. Lovely atmosphere and good service. Only disappointment were the refurbished toilets; no baby change and tiny disabled cubicle.

Came the other day and didn't have a good experience. I ordered a flat white with cake, cake was nice but the coffee wasn't very nice at all. The food was okay but felt one of the staff was quite rude when I asked about seating as it was reserved. Also the toilets were out of order so my little boy had to go all the way back to the public ones which are disgusting and by the ferry. I think this is not on with a busy restaurant and next time I come over to Mt Edgecombe I will not be coming back here.

Came in just for a coffee and cake, but was drawn in to the menu the moment I saw it. We got the cheeseboard and for the price, the quantity you get AND the quality is incredible. The only critique I would have is there is no recommendations for what to pair the cheeses with, however the pairings they provided us with was delicious, the chutney goes with everything. An easy recommendation if you're willing to make the journey!

We just went in for coffee after a walk round the estate, staff were very helpful as we didn't know our way back to the house.

This is a flat white? It looks like tea. Absolutely ridiculous when they have a beautiful setting and what looks like an amazing machine to make coffee but they fail to meet the normality of knowing how to make a decent flat white.

Decadent café & restaurant offering beverages & snacks one side with a larger section for customers dining in restaurant. Table service for both. Went for hot chocolate to warm up after walk around Mt Edgecumbe grounds & beverage was both hot & delicious. The Orangery is beautifully decorated with both inside & outside seating, offering superb views of fountain, twin stairwell & gardens. Haven't eaten in restaurant yet so unable to comment; menu looks delicious with license to serve alcohol however quite costly. (Afternoon tea £17 per head although would make a super treat).

Honestly, it is so beautiful inside and especially outside, you seem to have to book to sit inside (table service) , but there are tables available for non bookers...beware, the queue takes quite a while to get to order and eat outside, Outside has a gorgeous garden to look at while you eat or drink something The ice cream was devine! £2.35 one big scoop cone... I also had a chicken Mayo toasty £6 something, and it alll was pretty well priced considering its a wedding venue and portions I'd happily go back

Amazing building and the garden setting is genuinely incredible - perhaps the best I have sat in anywhere whilst eating and drinking. It would get more stars if (a) there were more vegan and non-dairy items available and (b) some of the staff were more cheerful and less curt in their manner - if they dislike their work, they should do something else!

Lovely tea and huge scones, however being shouted at by the lady behind the counter when I went in passed the closed sign to get some sugar for my tea is not acceptable behaviour in my opinion. When I explained that I already had my tea outside and just needed sugar she just glared at me and said "I'm not psychic", no attempt at sn apology. I understand she might have been busy, and she was wanting to close, but that is not my fault, and it is certainly nit the way I was trained in the hospitality industry.

We were able to eat outside which was great. The food was very good and we enjoyed our visit. There was a shortage of staff but one young lady did an amazing job at keeping everyone happy.

Nice food and drink but not cheap

The service was nice but the initial said I could not charge my phone with USB and when I made a huff and puff they gave me a plug to plug in my phone. Also I was the only brown person there. Very white, not very multicultural.

Nice food and drink not cheap but good

Great food, not expensive. Eat outside and look at the garden whilst sheltered from any wind by tall hedges and wall or inside and enjoy the decor and local artwork.

Very nice place to eat and have icecream and tea, we had lunch which was very nice very easy to get in to, walks around mount Edgecoumbe were stunning by river.

No flexibility my 80 year old Mother was 3 mins late for a Crepe lol.

Beautiful location as you would expect from a wedding location on the beautiful Edgcumbe Estate. As if it isn't awesome enough to look out on the garden there was also an artist in residence industriously working away just inside the entrance. Extremely courteous, helpful and efficient staff. Generous, well-presented and delicious Sunday roast beef. Lovely to see families happily eating together and noticed many had reserved a table which might be wise as the season progresses ;)

Lovely period building with a good food selection (try the ice cream...). It's often very busy though, so getting a seat can be a challenge. It's set next to the formal gardens, which make a gorgeous walk.

Teabag in a cup of hot water! Perhaps because the part-timers hadn't managed to rescue the dirty crockery from most of the outside tables. There must have been some teapots sowhere.

Excellent wedding venue in a beautiful formal garden setting; located in the grounds of the Mount Edgcumbe County Park, South East Cornwall. Also a wonderful stop off for meals that are of good quality served by a friendly team.

One star purely for the waiting staff. Went in with a client in a wheelchair. We were not seated, just ignored. One guy sneered at us. Very snobby attitude towards someone with a profound learning disability and wheelchair. Food was v nice tho
