The Olive Grove in Canterbury

Delicious food. Everyone in our party enjoyed it thoroughly! However, the service was very slow, and it seemed there wasn't enough staff for the amount of tables they had. The staff did apologise multiple times, but it probably needs addressing.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! They offered great vegetarian options that were both delicious and satisfying. Diana, our waitress, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. Her warm personality and excellent service made our visit special. Highly recommend their Bruschetta

We booked a table for dinner before attending the Marlowe Theatre. The restaurant was lovely, very welcoming staff. The meal was delicious (we had lasagne). The young girl who served us was friendly and very efficient. The only thing we had a slight issue with was the live music, (spanish guitarist and singer) which was extremely loud, making it difficult to hold a conversation, but otherwise a lovely restaurant, will definitely visit again

An absolute gem of a place - there's something for everyone on the menu, and it's all amazing. We went as part of a large party on Friday 4th Oct - where Diana, Amelia, Daisy, Andrea, and the amazing chef (sorry can't recall his name) looked after all of us so well. thank you! looking forward to visiting again.

Absolutely amazing food and staff! I had the mixed grill and cannot fault anything. Such gorgeous flavours. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. Melt in the mouth meat followed by authentic deserts. Highly recommended restaurant!

I recently visited Olive Grove Restaurant, and I had a great experience. The food was wonderful, and I was really impressed by the decor—it has a unique vibe that stands out. We were served by the manager, Humam, who made us feel extremely welcome. His friendly approach really enhanced our meal. Overall, it was a lovely evening, and I’m looking forward to going back again

Had a fantastic time on Friday night 4th October 2024, highly recommend the king prawn starter and the lamb chops, House red and House white wines thank you to Daisy and Andrea for being excellent and exceptional in looking after our group throughout the evening I will definitely come back again.

I've used Olive Grove before and I'll use it again - some pleasing mew dishes.

The whole evening was just amazing. The table service was excellent the lovely lady that looked after us was fabulous. Even the chef came out to see everyone to ensure we were enjoying his excellent food. Thank you so much we will be back no question about that.

Got the chicken tajine and it was incredible! All of the other food I tried was also great. They have a wide selection and everything was so good. The service was also amazing. They couldn’t have been nicer. Definitely recommend!

Order was never delivered by Just eat so I had to walk to the restaurant itself just to find out that the order has been picked up at 3pm (I got to the restaurant at 4.10pm) and the restaurant had to make another order for me to carry back home as I had hungry kids to feed. Restaurant staff was very professional and the food was amazing, they also offered me some drinks for free while I was waiting... Waited 2.5 hours for the food. Terrible service from just eat, great service olive grove!

Weve been here on numerous occassions for the excellent tasty food, really friendly service and its great for people watching on the terrace. We will return soon.

Had a lunchtime meal here yesterday. The food was delicious. Good service with a smile and fair prices.

Popped in for a bite to eat early evening Saturday. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and professional. We ordered vegetarian mezze which was very tasty, homemade and well presented. The price was reasonable however we thought the bottled water was expensive and they did not provide a large bottle to share so we reverted to tap water instead. I don’t mind paying for a drink with a meal but felt the price was excessive in this instance. The waiting staff were accommodating and provided an iced jug of water, well presented with two glasses and ice, which more than satisfied and completed a positive experience of this cafe/restaurant. The menu features, Middle Eastern or Mediterranean (Italian) food. I would go back.

I have eaten on every continent on the planet, steak in Argentina, hot pot in Shanghai, escargot in Provence and much more. I can honestly say the chicken and mushroom penne bake here is the most delicious meal I have ever had in my life. Unbelievable.

Second visit to this lovely restaurant for lunch today. There were 7 of us. All the food was served at the same time. Staff were lovely and food was fantastic! Can’t recommend this place enough!

Had an excellent Tagine here, tasted amazing, was also delighted to find a restaurant with gluten free options. Staff were very polite and attentive without being intrusive. Great decor when made you feel welcomed and comfortable, absolutely loved it.

We are a family of four going visiting Canterbury and came across this restaurant. It gives a wonderful combination of Italian and north African cuisine. We ordered bruschetta, burrata and calamari for starters. They tasted absolutely delicious and refreshing. The calamari was delicious and fresh. For mains we ordered the mediterranean sharing platter, chicken sheesh taouk and salad with grilled salmon. They all tasted wonderful with authentic middle eastern flavours. The meat was ver tender and flavourful. Staff were very very friendly and welcoming. They were always smiling. Would definitely recommend you visit this restaurant if you around the Canterbury Cathedral.

Came in on the off chance late on bank holiday, we had a seafood platter for 2 and it was beautiful! Food was absolutely delicious and great service

Best place to eat in Canterburry, i give 5 stars for good service and great food.

How many falafel in this order? Ordered 4, got 3 only… won’t blame the chef cuz I misunderstand it myself as well. Well… 3 for £30, crazy is it??? Not to mention takeaway order without any cutlery set provide.. falafel is nice, with very small portion. Probably won’t recommend and come ever again.

We arrived at the Olive Grove after a hectic day and rather stressful day. It was a Friday evening, we hadn't booked but fortunately the lady who greeted us made us feel instantly at ease. The decor is superb and the staff were great, the food we ate was delicious. Will definitely visit again next time in town. Thank you very much guys!

We ate a wonderful diner here. I took Libanese haloumi and my husband chose vegetarian tajine. Both were very tasty and large. My son ate a burger. The staff was very nice and the hospitality was great. I would definitely recommend to go there.

NB: Lamb Tagine, Hummus, Baba Ghanoush and their Chips are my to go to! Thank me later.

We had to wait 1/2 hr for food but it was worth the wait! The lamb shank was excellent. On ordering extras, we had to wait for servers to enter room, which was not that frequent. Happy that food was all halal.

Food was unbelievably good! We tried the chargrilled chicken with Saffron rice and chargrilled lamb with chips. We also had the seafood mezze. Great portion sizes. Mocktails were really yum! We tried the strawberry one and the passionfruit one. Also, we were given a virgin mojito on house. Exceptional customer service by Andrea. She recommended dishes with great detail. Jerry, the chef deserves a round of applause for the amazing food he put on the table. We will be back for more soon!

We had a lovely time at the restaurant, the atmosphere was immaculate, workers were super friendly, and we were greeted by a very kind Algerian musician when we first came in (He told us that we will love the food, which we did!) We were also on a time crunch and the lovely waitress Diana, with her beautiful smile, helped us out so patiently. The food was prepared super quickly, was absolutely delicious, and accommodated for diverse dietary needs. Another thing that makes visiting this place a must is their atmosphere and interior design, it feels like you travelled somewhere else. Beautiful place, friendly staff and really good food, delicious and flavoursome. The 3 dishes we had were are well cooked and seasoned. It is also a lovely place to dine in. Several different rooms, all tastefully decorated. Good location and easy to find too

WOW!!!!! Food and service…unreal. Seen this restaurant on TikTok and did not disappoint…olive & feta starter with rosemary bread and the most incredible meat main, that was enough for 2. The owner was sooooo welcoming, gave us a Hummus and a dessert on the house, we will 100% be back!!!!! Thank you!

We were very lucky to stumble across this restaurant yesterday. We ordered some Baba ganoush and a Targine both were delicious and so full of wonderful Morrocan flavours. The service was great helpful and added to the experience. Would definitely eat here again.

I always eat here when in Canterbury. Great Moroccan food but with an Italian menu alternative offering something for everybody. The chips are a must have. Ate there 20th June with excellent friendly service from Andrea.

Booked in advance for a quick bite to eat before our theatre booking. We both ordered the lasagna, it was hot, tasty and well cooked. The young waiting staff were very well trained, very attentive, extremely polite and efficient. Would definitely recommend!

One of those great finds, just walking along and thought why not try something a little different. Lovely decor and setting, excellently looked after and food was gorgeous. Almost forgot that it's actually good value too.

no salad with lasagna in a fairly big box which ment by the time I got it looked like something from a sloop bucket. A shame as been nice from here before

We stopped by for lunch and we're so happy we did. The restaurant is a feast for the eyes with beautiful, colorful decor. The wonderful food is served by conscientious and friendly staff. We will return to this gem on our next trip to Canterbury.
