The Olive Branch Café & Restaurant in Oxford

A perfect place for Breakfast or Lunch. It was an amazing experience. The food was really tasty and good and the service was excellent. The coffee is really really good. I had two mochas and the hot chocolate was delicious as well. Must try the Mozzarella Sticks💯

Really enjoy both our meals. Lamb tagine was very tender and tasty. Chicken was succulent and plentiful. Would certainly recommend this little gem of a restaurant

We were excited to try this place, as we enjoy Turkish/Lebanese cuisine and wanted a halal option in Oxford. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing today. We had to clear our own table as it hadn’t been cleared from previous diners, and the server was dismissive when we asked for help. Other tables had also been left uncleared and diners coming in were unsure as to wait to be seated or just find a table. The food delivery blocked the entrance and bathroom, and some frozen items seemed to be thawing instead of properly stored. Food was acceptable but overpriced, and lacking in accompaniments like bread and sauces. I had to ask for chilli and garlic sauces several times before they were brought out. Another diner was asking for her money back because of how long she had been waiting for food. The bathroom also needed attention. Given positive reviews, we may have caught them on an off day, but we won’t be returning.

The food is good and the frappe is also great but it's a bit hard to get through the tables. The chicken wrap with salad is delicious!

Next to Oxford train station, a nice place to stop and have a drink with an attentive waiter. What seemed average at first turned out to be a good choice.

Olive Branch is a great spot, particularly for breakfast/brunch! I find myself wandering in for falafels or eggs or even just a coffee regularly. The easy Mediterranean vibes make it feel like an oasis in the hustle-bustle caused by the train station. Extremely friendly staff. Try to grab the table by the window!

Wow! We came for a bite to eat in here after running the Oxford Half Marathon. I’ve walked past plenty of times but never been in. Service was really quick and very friendly, and food was awesome. Very, very fresh and a great menu. Thanks for feeding some very tired & hungry runners! Will be back.

A cozy cafe opposite Oxford train station Environment: Not fancy, the seats are comfortable. Coffee: There are many Ice coffees, which are rare in the UK. Tried cappuccino, a large cup ($3.8), it tasted good. Pistachio cake: not very sweet 👍 Accessible facilities: There are wheelchair toilets👍

This restaurant was on the ground floor of our hotel. We had breakfast there. There was English breakfast.

Wow! I’m a big coffee guy, have my own rig at home, and focus a bit more than I should on coffee. Anyway, all that to say that this place blew me away! We had an espresso, cappuccino, and a dirty chai and they were all phenomenal. So much so, that I felt compelled to write up a review - 10/10. Will definitely be coming back here - what a lovely find.

I didn't expect much as I chose the place based on its vicinity to the station. I was positively surprised with sumptuous pistachio cake, decent coffee and nice hospitality. The atmosphere was a bit bleak as it was clear most customers were also travelling, but beyond that this was a pleasant break.

I recently dined at a fantastic restaurant in Oxford Centre, just a short walk from the train station, and it was an unforgettable experience! The Lebanese and Moroccan cuisine here is absolutely top-notch, with authentic flavors that transported me straight to the Middle East. From the tender chicken to the flavorful lamb tagine with rice, every dish was a delight. The coffee was exceptional as well, providing a perfect end to a wonderful meal. The service was excellent, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. If you're in Oxford and craving amazing Lebanese or Moroccan food, this spot near the train station is a must-visit!

I’ve ordered moussaka without seeing the menu. The waiter brought me fried vegetables. She didn’t tell me they do vegan moussaka, when I ordered. Besides that, she was rude.

Absolutely delicious! Stopped for lunch today and had the chicken tagine - it was very tasty. They have lots of Gluten Free (GF) options too which is a bonus!

It's quite an old fashioned looking place. Service was pleasant, but not very quick considering we were the only people in there. Awful music. Not even bad songs, just some absolute awful incidental music. Quite pricey for a bottle of beer. Didn't try the food but the menu did look nice.

Very rude staff, this place is run by absolutely awful people, manager and staff! Super unfriendly. Avoid.

A really cosy and cute little place with an amazing menu. We ordered a few tapas and each plate was authentic and packed full of flavour and punch. We are definitely coming back to try more and will make sure to visit before noon to hit that brunch menu. Coffee was perfection, and the service was friendly but unobtrusive. Highly recommend this spot.

I was really impressed with this intimate little café / restaurant. I ate a delicious authentic Shakshouka (which has to be best possible way to eggs and sausages) and it came with a generous quantity of lovely bread to scoop it up with. The ambience of the place is really nice and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Coffee was great too! I strongly suggest that you try this place, I will certainly be back!

We met friends here - 4 adults, 2 tweens and a toddler. The food was delicious with very generous portions. The waiter was so incredibly kind to my toddler. He brought him a piece of fruit while waiting for the food to arrive, paid him lots of attention and made sure we were all happy. I had the chicken tagine and loved it. We’ll be back very soon!

I popped in for dinner after a long shift at work. Last time I had a chicken tagine was when I went backpacking in Marrocco a few years back. These guys did a great job 👌 Highly recommend.

We had a delicious dinner experience here at the Olive Branch in Oxford. The staff is super helpful and friendly and the food really memorable. First time eating Shakshuka and really enjoyed the tomato, onion and peppers with sausage and topped with fried eggs. My husband had the Chicken Tagine with Rice and his dish was also excellent. Our meals were served very quickly. We also like the location, just steps from the train station. We are staying in Oxford for another night and will probably stop by again before we leave.

Had a lovely shakshuka with feta! And the chai was top notch, the guy at the counter saw me cleaning all the remnants from my cup and gave me another one to take away. So sweet of him! My partner had the lamb kebab and it was also nice and would be great if they toned the salt down abit.

Went to The Olive Branch multiple times for breakfast while I stayed at the Royal Oxford Hotel. The Nutella and fruit pancakes were OUT OF THIS WORLD!! The service was quick and staff was very friendly. Dinner was also wonderful. Would recommend to anyone in Oxford looking for a quick bite!

Ate burger double cheese burger 🍔 . It was very sad. Beef patty was rubbery and poor. Never again here. It was a complete waste. Fries 🍟 that came with it was not crunchy.

This must be my favourite coffee shop when popping into Oxford and thank god it’s just by the train station as I usually come by train anyway. Been here several times and never been disappointed. Their portion size as so generous, the food always tastes delicious, their staff have always been friendly even when they were rushed off their feet. The one dish I seem to order the most, whenever I go for late lunch is their tagine.

Went for a family deal dinner and ordered hummus, lamb tagine and baklava for desert. Everything was 10 out 10. My wife ordered some extra for a take out at home. Great service and excellent value for money.
