Great the food was delicious will be ordering from there every time I'm working .nice one mate

Food arrived cold and split open. The problem was the just eat delivery rider not the actual restaurant as i have had food from here before but picked it up and food is always amazing. So its not the restaurant its just eat delivery being careless

It took over 2 hrs for the order to be delivered, the issue wasn’t the fault of the restaurant, it was the delivery driver fault. Drove to the restaurant the order was out for delivery already, had to buy another meal. Restaurant Good

The taste is not bad but the service and his face expressions make me scared. He is not patient and shouted to me. I was very surprised. I have never found that kind of behavior.

The food didn’t taste nice at all to be honest. The dumpling was tough. The cheesy beef patty just wasn’t nice it was very greasy and the cheese had a weird taste.

Food was horrible, l would like a refund please.

Amazing all round filled me up all day

I requested cutlery & tissues on my order notes and it wasn’t there & this is happening every time. And the food wasn’t covered properly sauce was all over the pack.

Despite the timely delivery, the food arrived cold which impacted negatively on the dining experience!!!! I will not be ordering from here again!!!!

The absolute WORST meal I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating. Everything was stale, rubbery, rock solid and tasted like it had been made days before and reheated. Please tell me who puts BURNT onion rings and old boiled potatoes on top of a peppered steak as a replacement for coleslaw?! Embarrassing. Ordered three meals and they all ended up in the bin. Delivery time was good but would have preferred it wasn’t delivered at all 👍🏼 0/10 would not recommend

The taste was there in the sauce but bones had to many splinters and far too small so rather messy eating. Definitely sadly a cross ❌ on ordering again

This gonna be in my top ranking hidden gem list for this year. Tried their takeaway out of curiosity, got curry goat meal for me and the classic jerk chicken for my boyfriend. The kicking smoky flavor of chicken and incredible fall-off-bone lamb chunk has successfully won me as a forever customer! Meal comes with gravy cooked rice and kidney bean, so well flavored I can eat them alone. Watch out the portion, even a “medium” meal can feed the entire family😁

Food and delivery was amazing. Packaging however was not, unsure if the shop or the driver but the food had come loose and there was chicken everywhere. I wouldn't have cared too much if it hadn't then fell out the bag when i was trying to sort it out. Sauce everywhere and had to spend 5 mins cleaning sauce off my can of Ting, very sticky situation

I went for Chicken and Rice, the guy who served me, went out the back and sorted it, he came back, asked if I'd like Coleslaw? I replied "yes please" he then came back with it boxed, and asked for £12. The choice was Small £8 Medium £ 10 and Large £12. I wanted a £8 Deal... At no point did he even ask me what Deal I wanted. To be fair, when I got home 4 minutes later and I opened the box, the portion was large, but the chicken was, at best warm on the outside, and cold in the centre, it was pre cooked, as was the Rice & Peas, First and last time for me.

The food taste off and very old. It just seems re-heated and delivered. Would not order again from this place

Order was missing items, (fried frish and coleslaw sides) patty was dry, remaining food was hot, lots of bones in brown stew chicken but tasty. Wouldn't say I'd never order from here again but there's other places I'd go to first.

I loved the portion. The taste was ok. However, there were a lot of bones in my meal. I eventually got tired because I kept biting into bones.

I was missing parts of my order and am now £6 out of pocket (macaroni x2) because no attempt to re deliver 😔!

There was so much bone and the food was dry. My tooth nearly come out with the amount of times I was eating the chicken. And sweetcorn in the Mac and cheese??

Curry goat was mostly fat and bones. Forgot the coleslaw and one of the cans of drink. Dissapointed

the whole order was very disapppointing. I ordered hard food, got rice. Chickien was dry and tasteless, rice was appalling, mac and cheese was really salty and barely any cheese. The curried goat looked like it had been coooked for days.

Absolutely delicious, very filling and great value - everywhere needs places like this. I've been coming here regularly for several years now. Different dishes Tuesday to Sunday means waiting for your favourite and it tasting even better. Jerk Pork on Friday is my top choice but they are all good; try Wayne's Baked chicken on a cold Wednesday night.

He could do with using less salt. I also wish he hadn't started putting sugar in the dumplings as they are no longer authentic fried dumplings but now bakes as made by other Caribbean islands. However the decor is authentic and there is always quite a selection to choose from. Parking isn't usually a problem and unlike a lot of cook shops you can pay by card (50p) charge.

Goat curry is the best. Give it a try!

It was a good place before when I went to this place a few time food was delicious now the jerk sauce taste like modified bbq sauce the food is really gone down and I eat jerk chicken a lot never had onion rings with jerk chicken lol the place let me down on my last visit they really messed up the food, hope they get the old flavour back, the patties are a no no hardly any filling and so dry

What a great find this place was! Only had Jamaican food once before from another place that left me feeling indifferent about it. Jamaican Spice on the other hand just felt right! Have been a couple of times and had curried goat and rice. Generous portions with lots of flavour and well priced. Will be trying another dish soon! Update 09 Feb 22 Just had another takeaway from here and it was top notch! This was about the sixth time I've been here and the food has always been tasty, well cooked and generously portioned. Highly recommended!

Came back to this place after five years (left Oxford) and still the nice friendly guys serving great heartwarming Jamaican food. Generous portions and flavorful.

I use to go there all the time when I worked in the area. I went there and I only had the patty. I had a vegetarian, lamb and beef. I got these warm before I left. These didn't disappoint, they were flaky and filled with flavour.

I don’t know what the hell the last review is on about. I will assume she’s never had chicken on the bone and would suggest that she gets the chicken tenders from McDonalds in the future. On to the review! Absolutely delicious. Tender, juicy brown stew chicken with rice and peas, roasties, Mac & cheese. Phew. And the portions were verrryyyy generous. We had extra for lunch the next day. The dumplings were phenomenal and reminded me of beignets. 10/10. This is our new favourite takeaway. If you like bold flavour, well priced, finger lickin chicken then this is the place for you.

There is mould on your display food. Made the mistake to order chicken dish that was served with the chicken bones. Your place is cold and stinks. Do not recommend.

The chicken was harder, dryer and older than any meat I have ever seen. I'm absolutely astonished - the reviews for this place seem unanimously great but this was very possibly the worst meal I have ever eaten. Also it cost £8.50. Total joke.

Thr best Jamaican in Oxford by a mile! Really good freshly cooked food by a chef who cares. Large portions. Friendly staff. Has many regulars from those in the know in Oxford. It's all about the large mixed box with curried goat, jerk pork, ackee and saltfish, dumplings, rice and salad!

Jamaican Spice has one of the best jerk chicken I have ever tasted. It is spicy, well seasoned and jerked to perfection. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are huge. It's two servings in one really. There is a sitting area for having food but this isn't really a restaurant dining experience. It is more takeaway or delivery. There are no bathrooms for customers but the entrance is wheelchair accessible. It is a Jamaican establishment so be prepared to know that if it says it is open at 1:30pm the food is mostly ready at 2:30pm.

The couple of times I ordered I can certify the food is good. The only reason I only gave it 3 starts is that this place (at least in my experience) is rarely open as advertised. I came a number of times to order but it was closed. I also tried calling - no answer. Needless to say, I don't go there any longer due to a largely hit and miss nature of my experiences.
