I took my family for Sunday lunch @ the old england kitchen and I can say it was lovely. Great Service, lovely food and nice beer. Very competitive prices and we would all return.

Called at this pub for the first time in over a year and had some food and drinks.I had a hot meat baguette with proper chips and my wife had homemade corned beef pie and chips. Both meals were excellent and well worth the price paid. The drinks were excellent value all in all a great teatime treat. We called in again two days later and had homemade curry and pannini with chips.Again the food was great.Highly recommended.

We had Sunday lnch recently at this ph for the umpteenth time and must say the quality and value were as excellent as ever. The only let down on this occasion was the wait which at over an hour for the main course to arrive from ordering was really unacceptable. The problem on this occasion was that everyone seemed to be in from 12 - 2pm (very busy) and they couldnt handle such a number all at once, consequently some of the staff were getting confused, as we had our main course delivered BEFORE the starter.I would suggest if you want a more peaceful sunday lunch go in about 3pm BUT you may have a limited choice of meats as they seem to run out of at least one of the main course meat.I would recommend it for quality and value but the service needs to be improved. We WILL return.

The food is very good support such a shame more local people do not support this pub as it is the only one left in the village the other 2 pubs have closed down through lack of support. We have had lots of meals here all of them very good. Sunday lunch is only £6 and £2 for a desert all of which are lovely tasty and well served by pleasant staff. Give this pub a try sure you will enjoy it

Long time since I visited this pub, back in those days the most you could get to eat was a toasted sandwich. The layout has also changed since then but that's fine, trouble being the place was totally empty, we were the only customers. The food was OK, standard pub grub, frozen chips, one of my pet hates, but better than some.

Meals are good value for money, I love the burger and pint offer, relaxing atmosphere and a nice meeting place. Staff are always friendly and helpful. As it's my local and the only pub left in the village, I go as often as possible.

Living in the village I believe in supporting local businesses. The Old England has been under new management has they have really improved the food on offer. We went for Sunday lunch and the value for money price of £5.00 for the main course lunch offered a choice of beef or chicken on our visit, we both selected beef and when it arrived we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity if meat and separate bowl of vegetables was excellent.i we would certainly visit again and recommend anyone looking for a value for money Sunday lunch to give it a try.

Lovely cosy pub and tasty food! Great atmosphere. Our party was well looked after, and my steak was deliciously cooked to perfection! There were a great selection of drinks including wines, gin and whiskey. I will certainly be recommending this pub. Thank you.

Discussed pint Guinness gone upto £5.90 a pint, said to staff, cost gone down and owner has put up Guinnes to a very high price, even the staff agreed really hike up price, they too thought it was pure greed. Will not use this pub again.

Ordered BBQ chicken loaded fries and was served frozen chips not fries with frozen strips of chicken covered with cheese and a squirt of BBQ sauce. Husband had pie of the day, said the pie was nice but the gravy was lumpy and too thick won’t be going back there again
