Sought out a cafe on route home following an overnight stop at Sturminster Newton and this came up in my results. The parking is huge, toilets are also close by, however, it is the food and service that stood out for me. Their famous sandwich was great value for money and was washed down by a large coffee. Food is cooked to order so it is piping hot as it is handed over to you. Service was very pleasant, and I would highly recommend this as a stop off point. Easy five stars and would visit each time I pass this way. Keep up the good work.

The 2 Lady’s working were horrible from the start, made us feel unwelcome and made remark ‘they don’t think we’re going to bring it the table do they’ when just went to sit and wait for our food. We all ordered the a fry up, one with no egg (turned up with an egg) breakfast looked nothing like the photos, food was just slung on the plate. Didn’t even get proper cutlery, my fork snapped in half trying to cut through the fatty bacon.

Stopped off today on our way from London driving back to Exeter for a Welcome Break, a nice hot cup of tea and a big tasty cheeseburger. Stopped there before and always excellent so always make a B line for it when coming this way.

Very disappointed to find cafe closed at 2pm. Travelled from Cornwall to Basingstoke. Spoiled the end of our holiday as had to find elsewhere to eat. Usually nice friendly place to start and end our trips to the West Country

This little cafe is on the A303 in Wiltshire and looks like a little tucked away shed with a parking area and some public toilets probably run by the council. We were desperate for a cup of coffee as we hadn't stopped since leaving Cornwall and the loos looked reasonable. In actual fact, the loos were spotless, with hand sanitisers and plastic gloves and the toilets were clean. We ordered a latte coffee, cheddar cheese burger and chips each and I have to say that although the bun was rather dry, the burger was good and the chips the best I have ever had.If anyone is passing this delightful stop....call in, it is really worth it.

Stopped off here on route to a family wedding in Cornwall. This is where they stop each time they travel there. On pulling up I was a little wary especially as we had passed many Starbucks ! Went straight to the toilet and what lovely clean toilets they were. Then went and ordered food. Very reasonable priced and extremely tasty. Ladies were very pleasant but very busy as quite a few of our wedding party arrived. So nice we made sure we stopped there on the way back to ! Will be making sure this is our stop of any future journeys down to the West Country.

First time we stopped here for a cuppa tea on our way home. I must a nice cuppa tea, serve in a biodegradable bamboo cup, much better for the environment than those other paper/plastic/polystyrene cups. Well done!

I can assure you my breakfast did not look anything like the one shown in their photo shown on here. I ordered the west country breakfast and what I got was a slice of soggy toast with an overcooked egg on it and a load of baked beans tipped over it all. Bacon and sausage was ok but not the rest, wont bother to stop here again, it was what it looked like, awful.

Never disappointed, best food and friendly service. Large layby, plenty of parking and toilets. Chose to travel to Basildon on the A303 and not the motor way just because of the burgers! Traffic was horrendous, averaging 20 mph for first 100 miles, but worth it for the burger! Thank you we will be back!

We stop here frequently on our way down to Devon and have never been disappointed with the food. There is plenty of choice with the added note that if they have it they will make it - for example different sandwiches from those advertised. There are a few seats available both inside and outside, though as it is in a layby, a lot of people just sit in their cars. Public toilets are also in the layby but well away from the eating area! The food and drink are both made to order and so there might be a short wait if there is a queue, but it is worth it.

Discovered the cafe over 20 years ago and always call in there on trips to and from Devon from Surrey. Excellent Food and service and good value for money. The lay by is a good size with plenty of parking. Would highly recommend the cafe to anyone

Visit here as a decent half way pit stop en route to the West Country, good old school roadside cafe with decent tea, I usually opt for the substantial breakfast bap although there things are available. You can also eat in. Judging by the decent stream of passing trade of van and lorry drivers, farmers, trades as well as tourists it must be good. Very friendly service as well, overall recommended.

Just stopped off for a bite to eat at this little roadside cafe on the A303. Their Americano burger is fantastic and the staff were very friendly and the service was speedy. Toilets were clean too. Thoroughly recommended

Realmente no puedo encontrar ningún fallo.

As regular customers we always enjoy a little layby-cuisine from Willoughby Hedge. This time though we took shelter from the icy wind and went inside to wait. Unfortunately our usual impressions of 'service with a smile' were dashed to smithereens as the lady taking the orders was frankly unpleasant! We went in and said hello, and got no reply. Gave our order and got change dumped at the other end of the counter. Asked if this was ours, got no reply. Got hostile glares whilst we waited. Said thank you and goodbye and got nothing. What a treasure. The other lady working the grill was quiet and very busy, whilst the patroness (presumably) stood back and moaned about many things, but then quite loudly about how lazy customers and how busy it's been (sigh, mutter, moan) . I have worked in retail, I know we all have a good old whinge about the customers (I even suggested to my boss that we have a punch bag in the staff room to take out our frustrations, so yes, we GET IT) - but please don't have a shot at us whilst we are standing five feet from you! If the lady dislikes her job so much then perhaps it is time to try something more spiritually sustaining! Other than that the food is lovely as ever. Just perhaps try to smile every so often?

Unwelcoming, smelling of chips, empty tables but customers turned away. People waiting a very long time for very little. We left as got fed up waiting over 20 minutes for a bowl of soup. Went to the Spar shop at the garage and got a subway for a fraction of the cost

What a fantastic find. This little café offers fast, delicious food at value prices. There are handy toilets in the same layby which the café owners also maintain. You'll find it hard to find better for a short break on the A303.

Having ate here before and had a good time I thought it would be good for a birthday meal for 4 on a Monday lunch time how disappointing it was. 2 Steak & Stiton pies ordered although very tasty lacked Stiton and was meant to be served with veg we had to ask for the veg which when it arrived after several minutes the excuse was we only have 2 microwaves not the excuse I wanted, the other 2 meals were fine, unfortunately we will not go back.

We visited on a Sunday for breakfast. Arriving a couple of minutes after 10am (opening time), we queued for a table and then again to order food. There were plenty of tables but appreciated it was busy - not all tables were full. We waited for 50 minutes for our food to arrive, although coffee arrived much earlier. This was prompted by us asking where our food was/checking the order had been made, to which we were told ‘we’d just have to wait because it was busy’. The food arrived 5 minutes later. The food was tasty and we’ve no complaints about the quality or price. But, something about the system here just doesn’t make sense, queuing at every point and then waiting another 50 minutes for scrambled eggs on toast and a bacon sandwich, doesn’t make sense. We arrived at 10 and didn’t leave until 12:15…. People had started arriving for lunch! Sadly, we’d not return. There are just other places nearby that are doing it better.

The location of this establishment is strange because the shop/restaurant sits within what is essentially a business park in the middle of nowhere but it is not hard to find. The setting was ideal for a summer lunch with lots of variously covered areas to shelter from the sun or rain if it happens. Then you realise that all these covered areas are, in fact, the restaurant! I saw no evidence of indoor seating. The main seating area is fundamentally a plastic marquee attached to a shop unit and all the seats are picnic benches. They have an interesting menu, which changes regularly I understand, and it is obvious that this establishment is not trying be a full all ‘singing and dancing’ restaurant and they do make that clear. It uses locally sourced quality produce for Deli style light meals, specifically lunches, and also snacks. The people running it are personable, welcoming and efficient. We found them very helpful and attentive and the food was delicious. Overall, the food menu is a little overpriced I feel but not excessive. That said, a few dishes do seem “over the top’ for what they are. It is the shop where the prices are eyewatering expensive and I think they have gone too far. I can here them now saying that they are supporting local suppliers and that this comes at a cost but times are hard and I do truly believe they, or their suppliers, need to face reality as the pricing is far too high. We need to support businesses like this but they have to respond too! Did I enjoy my meal? Yes, fantastic, Would I go again? Yes, definitely! Would I encourage you to go? Yes definitely! I just warn you that your visit will be enjoyable but not cheap so be prepared.

Visited Marlborough for the day and popped in for a coffee! We were greeted with quick, friendly service and were excited about the range of pastries we got to choose from! We were very impressed with the cleanliness and style of the cafe and would absolutely love to return here when we’re down again!
