The Old Warehouse in South Hams

We stayed in Kingsbridge for a few days and this was by far the best food and drink venue we visited. Awesome home brewed meads and the food was sooooo flavoursome. Thanks so much guys.

Great find, friendly bar with great beer and food. Would highly recommend. We tried the fish chowder and Burger. Both were very tasty.

We walked in and asked for a table to have something to eat. A table was found, as we had not booked. Drinks ordered abd served, then once the kitchen opened orders were taken, I had the 'Classic Smash burger and my partner had the Beanburger. Both of us said these were probably the best burgers we gad tasted, The chips were crispy, and the other accoutrements in the burgers helped make the dish. Very well done, and thank you

Fantastic kingsbridge bar & restaurant. We met up here for dinner with friends. Great food, lovely wine & great service. What more can I say? Well worth a visit. Keep up the good work.

Just fantastic, how am I just only finding out this place exists now! Wonderful food, drinks, atmosphere and staff. Such a cool venue, they have gigs too, music, comedy. First time going in tonight and I love it!

We walked past and poped in for an evening drink. We loved the atmosphere and the service was very welcoming. We really enjoyed the mead beers made on site. We ended up staying for dinner which was so tasty. My husband had a burger and I had the Gnocchi with chilli and samphire. We both loved the food, and I can not think of a meal I have enjoyed more. Thanks Jamie and Ian for these amazing flavours. We are really looking forward to our next visit to try more of the menu and guest beers.

Always a friendly smile on arrival . Independent coffee houses becoming rarer so this is a pleasant " find". Slightly off the beaten track, but this is not a bad thing.

All I can say is that this place is absolutely worth it. Recently had new chefs and almost a new rebranding and WOW!! Loved it before but love it so much more now. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are so lovely. Not in your face but also always up for a chat. The food is amazing!! They also have live music events which we have attended a few and they are always a great turn out. What a perfect little venue situated in Kingsbridge!

The Old Warehouse is back and better than ever! New chef, new menu, and the food is fantastic. Buttermilk chicken and pork ribs with honeymead ginger BBQ sauce are must-tries, plus the char-grilled cabbage with miso is surprisingly delicious alongside an incredible choice of main courses or juicy burger options. Great beer selection and friendly service. Definitely worth checking out in Kingsbridge.

Wow! We dined here last night. The new menu is fantastic. Highly recommend the starters we had, creamy garlic & smoked mushrooms on toast, buttermilk fried chicken with blue cheese sauce. The flavours were amazing. For our main dishes we had: fillet of stone bass, moonhoney mead glazed chicken. Great portion size. Lovely presentation. It was lovely to see it so busy for the re-opening, the service was fantastic. A great atmosphere. Looking forward to enjoying more of the new dishes from the menu. Exciting times ahead for you guys. Went to the re-launch of the Old Warehouse last night.Can't praise Sam, Hannah and the team highly enough! And as for the new chef, what can I say?I had the Cullen Skink and it was absolutely sublime ! I intend on sampling the rest of the menu,which looks fantastic! Run, don't walk,to this very special place!

Great new menu. I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection. The mint ice cream dessert was delicious and the cracked biscuit accompaniment was perfect. I will be back as I need to try the scallops next time!

A friend took me here for a coffee and cake. I had not realised it had been updated (I thought it was a pizza del establishment). What a great cafe, hub and great addition to Kingsbridge. They also have live music and mic nights.

We went to eat and listen to Gozer Goodspeed a singer/ guitarist from Plymouth. Both the food and the music were excellent. Can also recommend the on-site brewed beers. Staff and atmosphere were great

Fantastic evening at the recent Biers & Brats - great atmosphere, great staff and great biers. The Old Warehouse's own micro brewery Dunkel and Weissbier 'Outlaw' were both fantastic but too popular, as I only managed a stein of each before they ran out! Looking forward to next years.

Absolutely delicious! If you find yourself in Kingsbridge, a trip here is a MUST! We had a free-range chicken ciabatta and I can honestly say it's the best lunch out I've had for a very long time! Everything that came out of the kitchen looked fabulous and very well presented. Loved it! We will definitely be back!

Top notch place that has developed well over time. Paddle beer option is excellent where you can choose three thirds.

We arrived just minutes before the 2pm cut off time for lunch but they were happy to accept our order. The food when it came was first class - moules, crab sandwich. The sandwiches were excellent. Some things on the menu were no longer available as they'd sold out - next time we'll make sure we arrive earlier. The staff were friendly and most courteous. Will definitely come again next time we're in Kingsbridge.

Lovely little place serving great food & drink and with friendly, helpful staff. We ate here twice during our stay in Kingsbridge and had one of the daily specials each time. First time the Hake, second time the steak. Both were excellent and the second time we also had a bottle of the house wine which was also very good. It really is great value for money, especially compared to some of the more upmarket eateries in Kingsbridge where the food was nowhere near as good but much more expensive! It's a small venue so at busy times of the year or on one of the nights they have music on, booking in advance is a must.

Nice ambience, excellent range of ciders and ales, on-site brewed mead. Coffee and cakes available, unfortunately arrived too late to try the food. Tastefully decorated, lovely outside area. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. A great experience, don't walk by.

Excellent food, wonderful service, lovely atmosphere - and great music as well. Tuesday night is music night, and our party of 10 (a family holiday) all loved it! Probably worth booking as it is not the biggest place - a very memorable night

Excellent breakfast here, the bacon sausage and egg bap was huge. Lots of seating indoors and out. Looks like lots of events and make their own mead.

Best crab sandwich I’ve had in a long while. Lovely presentation with green salad and Parmesan. We are relatively local from Exeter and will be back.

Went on a rainy august morning we had one veggie breakfast, one “normal” breakfast and both were totally fantastic, great tasting bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes everything , coffee fantastic strong great taste, independents like this are worth seeking out , first time for us and one of our favourites already, thanks

Blown away by how lovely the staff is here! Even though we booked a table, they offered on arrival if we wanted to sit in their gorgeous garden. They were knowledgable about their drinks list, letting me try a couple of wines. The service was second to none. The food was delicious. Organic wines. Must try brownie! What lovely lovely lads, welcoming atmosphere and fabulous food!!! Thank you so much to all the team for a lovely evening.

We came here to try the locally brewed beer and we were happy with the nice selection. Nice outdoor seating which both family and dog friendly. I would visit again.

This wonderful place was the perfect choice for my birthday celebrations. The fabulous team made it incredibly special with amazing food, slick service and all the warm vibes a place can exude. If you are visiting Kingsbridge it is place not to be missed.

we didn't try the food but it seemed to be going down well - lovely courtyard outside and a cosy friendly atmosphere inside - we caught some Live music too, which was a bonus on a random Thurs night - we went 3/4 times over the weekend, our favourite spot for a drink and a chill had a real ale stout which was great, proseccos, the odd cocktail

I live in Kingsbridge, I'm not affiliated to TOWH at all, but believe this is hands-down the coolest place in town. The food has won South-West awards, they have a varied taplist of 6 or 7 beers from independent Devon breweries, covering pilsners, pales, stouts, IPAs and their own mead brewed in the microbrewery on premises. They have weekly open mike nights and live music with (mainly) South-West bands and a lean towards folk. The team are fantastic and will always go the extra mile to accomodate you. And there's a beer garden, what are you waiting for!?

As a visitor to kingsbridge it was great to find the old warehouse, live music last night was really enjoyable. Lovely staff, good drinks and friendly atmosphere

Another lovely evening at The Old Warehouse. Great atmosphere friendly approachable staff who are very accomodating. Delicious food and coffee. They also put on live music regularly every 'Folkin Tuesday' which is sometimes an open mic night where some locals and people from the outskirts come to sing and play. Had a great time at the NYE party, such a great atmosphere, it didn't feel like I was out but at a Friends party. Lovely vibe and the a great place to just bee. 🐝. ❤️😊

This is a brilliant cafe/restaurant. Delicious GF food and lovely service. A nice place inside and two good tables outside. A real find. And they made us bikers feel very welcome.

Great find for us as we didnt know they did evening meals but glad they do. Good value food and the fish we had was excellent cooked with wonderful side dishes. Proper food cooked by a proper chef at a good price. The service was great and so was the atmosphere in the evening. We will be back.

I’ve visited The Old Warehouse numerous times in the last year or so, and I’ve never had anything short of an amazing visit. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, and excellent drinks. Last night, my partner and I shared two starters, both of which were lovely. The feta and pear starter, in particular, was unbelievably good. I’ve never had anything like it, and it was so tasty! The rest of our meal was just as lovely, and we both enjoyed a (generous) glass of wine. We had a truly excellent time. Thanks to everyone involved for making last night’s meal so wonderful!

Wonderful NYE at the OW. Delicious food (especially the pasta starter and halibut main, so fresh and tasty), great, friendly service, fun atmosphere and the wonderful folk duo, playing 2 upbeat sets. The highlight for me though was Sam’s dad’s disco- Wham, Abba and Faithless; just perfect. Thank you.

We went to The Old Warehouse for my birthday dinner with my family and children, we were a large table. The service was amazing, the staff are very attentive and friendly. The choice of food on the menu was great, I couldn't decide what to have! The food was exceptional, everyone was happy with their choices. Its a great place to go for dinner and drinks, really good food, service and great choice of wine and craft beers! This place ticked all the boxes for us and we are now regular customers. I would go as far to say its one of the best places to eat in Kingsbridge.

On holiday staying near by and was spending a day in kingsbridge. After some shopping therapy it was time to find a bite to eat. We looked on trip advisor for ideas and stumbled on the warehouse. Can’t fault it really! Isn’t a massive place but very clean and Morden inside. Limited menu but well put together and catered for most. I had the pork bap and my girlfriend had the Brie sandwich plus we had our little one who just had fries. Two ladies working there were great hosts. Would definitely recommend if in kingsbridge and after something to eat.

We got tickets to see Samantics in September and it was the first time we'd been in here. It was a lovely little place and the partially covered patio area out the back is really nice. Because it was so nice we decided to return a couple of weeks later and were defintely not disappointed. I had the cheddar & leek tart with salad & black garlic mayo and it was all really enjoyable - I had considered having a sandwich and after seeing the size of it I was glad that I didn't, it was massive! The soup & bread looked really lovely & the coffee was perfect. The staff were really friendly & the service was great.

Great atmosphere, delicious food!

Every now and then you walk past a place and think - that looks nice - I’ll try it - I call it restaurant roulette - sometimes you pick a winner sometimes you end up grabbing fish and chips on the way home. Tonight we won the lottery. This wonderful eatery and mead house is an absolute gem of a restaurant /bar and a well deserved winner of recent awards. The staff are outstanding the service was perfect, the food was delicious and the ambience was suited to couples, groups , or a solo visit. Rarely does a place combine all these elements as well as this. I thoroughly recommend this amazing little venue and will be back (the sticky toffee pudding alone is worth the visit.

Best place to feel good in Devon. Hannah comes from a family of people pleasers going back generations.

We're SO lucky to have T.O.W. in Kingsbridge. Wonderful staff, amazing selection of local ales, good selection on seasonal menu. And a live music venue too - much needed in sleepy Kingsbridge :-) Thank you to all T.O.W. staff.

Popped in when passing for beer, great selection of local Devon beers, decided to stay for a burger as Tuesday is burger night and we weren't disappointed with the great food, but the beers and service were outstanding! Camra take note of rest little gem!!!

This is very much worth a visit, the staff being friendly and helpful. We sat in the area at the back of the restaurant which has plenty of covered seating and is dog friendly. The food was really delicious, fresh and flavoursome.

I like The Old Warehouse, the coffee is good and we have visited on three occasions now. The decoration and fit-out of the restaurant with its repeated hexagon theme is pleasant but I think it would benefit from a bit of finessing. The garden is an attractive space but on sunny days the open pergolas provide no welcome, and protective, shade. It would be good to have some relief from the sun. Within the restaurant it's unfortunate that if a customer forgets to shut the door of the ladies lavatory one has a clear view of the pan when coming in through the front door. An automatic closer on the cubicle would solve this. Similarly the door of the kitchen is very often open, at least partly, and the harsh lighting from within rather diminishes the atmosphere. As does the sight of the fire blanket hanging beside the kitchen door. If there could be a second door, or even a curtain, at the opening of the alcove which staff must be pass through to get to the kitchen then these things would be solved. Finally, in the daytime the rather small windows in the main body of the restaurant make it seem a little claustrophobic and gloomy. There is, however, quite a large "barn door" halfway along one side. If that could be converted to a window it would improve things greatly.

What a delight to find a restaurant that has fantastic service and amazing food at a sensible price. A menu that has something for everyone. Good range of wines, cocktails and beers. The fish really was 'catch of the day'...so fresh and melt in the mouth. All plates are beautifully presented and the hot food is just that and so are the plates! Friendly and professional staff and a lovely atmosphere.

We were visiting Kingsbridge for the day and wanted somewhere to have lunch. The Old Warehouse was recommended by a local and didn’t disappoint. We were lucky to get a table in the back courtyard, the surroundings, service and food was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
