First impressions count. In the swan it’s always the smell of strong bleach as you walk through the front door. I’ve visited several times but can never get past the bleach. Beer is good in the beer garden away from the smell. This place could be so much better!

Went for lunch. My steak was very dry, my husband had the fish and said it was nice. The portions of chips were large and we couldn’t eat them all. We thought it was a bit expensive so don’t think we will we returning

Lovely food, great portion sizes especially for children! So accommodating of two moms with 5 children between us. Very attentive and nothing was too much trouble would recommend to other family’s.

On a warm busy Saturday lunchtime all the local cafes were bursting with customers so we decided on The Old Swan as there was plenty of room to get seated. Really friendly bar and waiting staff. Reasonably priced bar food which turned up quickly and was really very acceptable. Not forgetting the beer was good too! Would certainly return.

Lovely food and friendly staff. We called in for a late lunch and wasn’t disappointed. It’s another place we would go back to if in the area. Dogs are allowed and he was also made welcome by the staff.

Had the misfortune to dine here recently on a night they had live music in the outside bar area. Food was awful, service was awful. We were told on arrival that they should not have taken our booking and the kitchen was closing soon so we were rushed. With hindsight we should have left and tried elsewhere. Never again

This looked a quaint little cozy cafe but inside it was freezing cold with no heating on and I had to put my coat back on to keep warm . One person serving and two other tables occupied one with food and one waiting for food . We waited quite a while to be served as we watched the waitress moving cakes around the counter . Our cups of tea arrived ok then we waited for our panini’s , this took a while again and the fries we ordered didn’t arrive obviously missed off our order, I was told they will be here asap. The other tables asked for the toilets as they left but to be told “you can use the pub toilets across the way”. We have never come across before and I have always thought a cafe should always have customer toilets. 14 seats inside and about the same outside. The food was nice but service , premises and facilities really let this cafe down .
