Great setting good generous pub food and drink they had very helpful staff for an all age family meal. One young grandchild a bit noisy no one complained

This spot is great for Sunday lunch - and dog friendly too. Their spiked hot chocolates - especially the Jameson Orange one - are delicious. Our server Eggsie was efficient and welcoming too

Came for the Sunday roast and was mediocre to say the best . Hailee is the best !! She was so lovely and looked after us well, which more than made up for the experience !!!

Hired upstairs for our 50th Wedding anniversary with 60 guests. We had canapés, wine, Prosecco and the bar. The venue is great with a balcony seating over 20 people, the main room very spacious and a seperate bar. Toilets on the same floor. Best of all, the staff are fabulous. Eggsie, Max and Tasha ,in particular, were brilliant. Nothing was too much for them to make sure our guests were looked after. After the event 30 of us had dinner downstairs in a seperate restaurant room. Again great service and really good food. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Top spot!!!

Loved our Sunday roast and restaurant but it was mainly Hailee who made effort above and beyond for us and our doggies to have best experience. She is credit to a company! Thank you Hailee you are a star ⭐️

Swarnim was fantastic, not only did she look after us magnificently, but took on child care duties for our 18m old daughter. Food was good but the service even better.

The riverside location is (obviously) great. The restaurant part of the pub is very comfortable, the service is friendly, and the food is good. Two of us had the pie, one the planter's burger, one the fish and chips, and another the burrata salad (a starter, with a side of chips). Nice food, but this isn't gourmet dining.

We had a great Sunday lunch at the Old Ship (restaurant/conservatory) which is a lovely pub by the river. We were a large group and the service was excellent. Eggsie and the other staff were friendly and asked us several times if we needed anything (and the restaurant was busy). The food great and good sized portions , it also came very quickly! We will def be coming back x

We spent a lovely long summer's afternoon having lunch on the front terrace, yesterday. The only downside to the experience was the quality of some of the food, but otherwise everything was great, especially the service provided by the two young ladies behind the bar, who not only took our orders and served drinks, but also served the food and cleared up afterwards. Great service!

Lovely location, brilliant service, good selection of wines, plus a wide range of spirits. The only downside was a mixed eating experience (some of the dishes were good but others not so). However, this was more than compensated for by their attention to detail and brilliant service provided by the two young ladies behind the bar, who not only took our orders and served the drinks, but also served the food and cleared the table between courses.

10 of us there for Easter lunch. Starter (wild mushrooms on toast) was fine. However, the main course (roast beef) was pretty poor. One slice of reheated beef -- literally 1mm thick! -- and tough, as well. Pretty mean: and very poor value for £20.00 Some of the others had roast chicken. Dry and overcooked.

Possibly the worst Sunday roast we have ever had. Anemic roast potatoes, veg terrible, watery gravy and plastic cheese cauliflower cheese. The waitress Hailee was very sweet, which was the only good thing. Waste of money much better options on the area.

Went for a Sunday roast with some friends, the food was so good and our server Eggsie was so sweet and kind! Would go back for food in general.

The pub and the food are good. The crowds at weekends make it fast food. The roast is good but service is stretched. Staff try hard but find it difficult to give quality service when busy. My preference is not to be sst at a table and querted with disinfectant as the table is cleaned from the previous customers ... The atmosphere is good and the beers awesome. Choose your time carefully!!

I had the chicken roast and it was scrumptious with a particularly good yorkshire pudding. our server Hailee was the best!
