We had great afternoon tea. Despite our peculiar diet requirements , the lady had catered lovely sandwiches, home made scones and other things on the table..We had amazing time . I would highly recommend the old red lion Tetsworth..

We stopped for lunch on our way through to elsewhere. The food was spot on - good pub food all hot and tasty, the ale on tap was good too.

We parked our motorhome in the car park, having phoned first to confirm. Availability. Used the village shop for a few bits and bobs. Bookeda table for Saturday night for 5, as we were in the village to meet up with friends. The food was incredible, tasty and large portions, freshly cooked to order, nothing was too much trouble. There was no rush to clear the table, so we had a lovely meal with out any pressure to finish quickly. I would highly recommend this pub for its good food, excellent service and value. We will be going back Thank you for allowing us to park up.

This is a great pub! I regularly visit with friends and members of several motorcycle groups. The landlady, Jackie, always does her best to make us feel welcome, and the food is wholesome and good value !

7/11/2024. Stayed in the car park in our motorhome. We were made very welcome by the friendly staff and locals. Nice food and a few beers in the evening and a nice breakfast before we left. Very fairly priced. A very nice experience, thank you! See you again no doubt

This pub is a gem. We had a family meal to celebrate a big birthday with my family. Some from London and Cheltenham . The food was excellent and service by the owner was superb. We were made very welcome and had a big table to sit 12 of us all around. Think we might come and visit again. Thank you.

Wow, what a gem. I have not seen such a quaint pub, cafe, village shop, B&B for years. It feels like being in a remote Highland village as the area is so quiet with the odd passer by, and the do it all services of the pub just add to that vibe. Food was lovely, home cooked just like your mother would cook. You're not going to sit down to Gordon Ramsey aesthetics, but you're not paying that price either. I don't generally like travelling south (from Yorkshire), I don't like busy areas, but this village and pub have smashed my stereotypical image of a southern village. Were it not for the distant hum of the M40, I could have easily been in the depths of North Yorkshire. If I come south again, I will definitely visit.

Lovely little pub in a pretty location. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the afternoon tea we booked for was lovely. They were happy to provide vegetarian options for us. We will be back to try the breakfast soon.

Delicious afternoon tea enjoyed in this quaint village pub. The service was friendly, nothing was too much trouble and we thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich and savoury bites followed by tasty cakes, scones and a little Eton mess. Highly recommended the afternoon tea. The cafe also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Small village shop at rear of the pub stocks everything you need

Lovely village pub, overlooking the green. The Afternoon tea was delicious. Extremely fresh bread with a variety of different fillings. Hot quiche and sausage rolls. The cakes were lovely followed by warm scones and jam. They even served a Homemade trifle. Great value, honestly we had a great time and pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back. Service was excellent too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Superb! If you love Thai food then you cannot experience better than this. A firm favourite restaurant for us, with wonderful friendly welcoming owner and staff in both the pub area, and restaurant. Quality of food is not to be missed. They do takeaway too for collection, equally amazing quality. Varied menu choices, and attention to detail is impressive. Take a visit and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed :-)

Consistently good. Freshly cooked light meals, decent coffee and friendly service. Bike parking in the garden too. A great alternative to Riverside nearby

Our first time at the ShellFish Cow and certainly not our last. Had a great evening and the food was so tasty. Recommend the mussels Provençal and the steak and garlic prawns.
