Very good service I had the chicken burger who was the best burger ever. I recommend it to anyone Just visit on Friday for the karaoke night and have some drinks

The team here made me feel very welcome as most places do not. One in particular stood out being ‘Chloe’, she really stood out to me as she answered many questions i had about the drinks and the business. I could not recommend this place enough and 100% recommend asking for Chloe if you have any concerns or questions!!

I had a bit of time to kill so I decided to grab a drink so I could sit and read my book. I went in the Old Post Office and asked for a drink. The lady behind the bar served me my order and I gave her the money for the drink. She returned me my change and just walked away. She did not say much and seemed more interested in chatting to locals rather than giving everyone the same level of service. The pub was clean but no one seemed to be collecting glasses.

Not been here in the evening I have heard it’s busy especially when the football is on or the pub hosts it’s karaoke nights

Popped in here for a quick drink on our way to somewhere else and ended up staying the whole night !! The staff here are so great! They really looked after us and had some great laughs! We’ll be back

Stopped by to kill some time while I was waiting for my next port of call, and decided to stop here just for the heck of it. A choice I regret NOT MAKING SOONER. Greeted warmly by Terri and was given information towards an event I most defiantly will be back for despite not being a local. And on top of that’d the overall vibe this place gives off is downright pleasant.

This place is amazing, Lyndsey was amazing she is honestly the best and Zoe is cool and so good at her job. The pints are cheap and the selection of spirits are amazing, I couldn’t recommend this place any more,

Thanks to the fantastic staff behind the bar. All the beer tasted fantastic and so did the food, compliments to the chef! Really affordable, especially with the sale on!

Before I start, this review does not in any way reflect on the 3 (yes, just 3!) poor members of bar staff who were being run ragged when we visited - they were doing their best, which was appreciated by us. We came from Cambridge as a group of 6 adults to have a few drinks and food before our football team’s evening game with Stevenage (so it wasn’t as if hordes of people appeared unexpectedly and overwhelmed the bar - match days are usually busier than usual), and we have visited The Old Post Office several times in the past with no issues. First round of drinks took about 20 mins to get served at the bar, so we decided to download the app and order through that for future rounds and for food, to try and take the pressure off the 2 girls serving at the (by now) very busy bar. Big mistake - had to go up to the bar anyway and ask where our drinks were after waiting patiently for 30 mins, and the wait for food was even worse. It was ordered at 5pm and didn’t appear until after 6pm, and then two of the dinners were stone cold so were sent back. No sign of them over 20 mins later, by which time we had to leave to walk to the football ground, and had to ask for our money back for the missing food - so two of us didn’t get to eat. Why was food being offered when there clearly weren’t enough staff to cope with both that and drinks? And using the dedicated app to order anything was a complete waste of time for the same reason, as we ended up chasing the order at the bar anyway. Not impressed, we won’t be back. (And to top it all off, the game was postponed because of an electrical outage at Stevenage Town FC!)

Had a nice lunch, Was served by Lyndsey, who was very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us, even though was rather busy. Will visit again

There are 2 pool tables available. There are various board games and kids games available. There are different gambling machines aswell. You get a friendly welcome when you come through the door. The staff are friendly and helpful

Sensational experience at the old post! Even the old ball & chain didn’t complain (surprising). Server Chloe was bloody brilliant, even at the bar. The seal in the pub let the experience down, but overall was a flipping great time.
