Sarah and Robin created a wonderful Birthday lunch for our family. Six of us sat down to a three course meal, the highlight being a fabulous Beef Wellington. Nothing was too much trouble and they were marvellous hosts. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Take eight strangers and put them in another strangers house for a meal and let the fun begin! Absolutely brilliant evening with excellent food and superb company. Robin and Sarah are both excellent cooks and wonderful hosts in their lovely Old Mill home. If you are looking for a different dining experience either as a group of friends or just fancy sharing good food and making new friends then look no further than the Old Mill Supper Club.

Sarah and Robin cooked a wonderful birthday dinner for me and my husband, and delivered it to our rental cottage in Ansty. We requested all gluten-free and vegetarian. And they rose to the challenge! We had a very tasty parsnip and pear soup with some excellent soda bread to start. Then an exceptional pecan and mushroom wellington with roasted veggies and steamed broccoli. Finally a chocolate birthday cake complete with candles. Sarah was great working with my husband on the planning. If you're staying anywhere near them I recommend this as a real treat.

Tucked away in an picturesque Old Mill is one of Dorset's best kept secrets! A charactful setting is the backdrop to a truely unique and bespoke dining experience. Sarah and Robin are the perfect hosts. From the moment our party of 8 arrived we felt relaxed and warmly welcomed. The food, expertly prepared by chef Robin, was outstanding. We had the Sunday lunch and each course was delicious. Robin and Sarah cook everything themselves from the roasted tomato soup served with homemade soda bread , to Sunday lunch with all the trimmings and a mouth watering sticky toffee pudding to finish; each course was a treat. It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and I highly recommend.

We decided to do something different for my best friends birthday in July and decided on a Great Gatsby themed dinner, As the Old Mill Supper club do private functions we thought it would be worth a try and we weren’t disappointed, the canapés served outside in their beautiful Garden were mouthwatering and I ate far too many! We then moved into the dining room for a truly outstanding meal, the fish was to die for. And We finished with Coffee and a beautiful birthday Carrot cake handmade by Sarah. I would highly recommend Robin and Sarah at the old Mill Supper club we truly had an Amazing time.

We booked at the Old Mill Supper club with 2 friends and an open mind and left with full bellies and smiles all round. Effectively 5 courses plus bring your own wine was great value. Special dietary needs were not a problem and our excellent hosts, Robin and Sarah, ensured the evening was enjoyed by all.

I can only endorse the previous writer's comments, word for word. It did seem rather expensive, and we had to take our own wine, but the food was exeptional, the company amusing and our hosts attentive and knowledgeable.

When I booked for dinner at The Old Mill Supper Club - I wasn’t sure what to expect. It didn’t appear the cheapest night out, but you’ve got to give something a try sometimes. Well - it was a beautiful evening of great food, company, setting - and the hosts Sarah and Robin were the perfect mix of convivial hosts and giving their guests a chance to meet and make friends. From the canapés to the after dinner chocs- the cuisine was exceptional. It is a fraction out in the middle of the countryside - but it does add to the charm of the whole evening. So, you get what you pay for in life - and an evening at The Old Mill was great value and masses of fun - it was great to meet interesting new people. Recommended.

It was a lovely little cafe with plenty of seating and the staff was very pleasant and polite, there was a decent menu and selection of cakes on the counter to choose from. We opted for the breakfast which was very disappointing, the only nice thing on there was the bacon as it wasn't overcooked the rest was overcooked and seemed as though it had been sitting under a warmer or hotplate, the fried bread was in parts burnt, and the sausage was rock hard down one side, the hash browns where not great however we did eat it all as we paid for it and we don't like to waste food and because of the amount of money we paid for them I had a large breakfast and my wife had the small and the extra addition of black pudding on both and two drinks cost was under £32.00.

Saw this pub but past it from Blandford Forum direction, and we were hungry. Luckily there was a right hand turning where we could turn around 200yrds away. Good size car park, warm greeting, and extensive menu for a pub lunchtime! I had a delicious beef stroganoff, and hubby had game pie with stilton. All hot, and home made. Such a refreshing change from all the same chain pubs. Portion sizes are generous, interior homely and plenty of space. Lovely big fireplace, prices reasonable, well worth a visit!
