Fun little place - made us very welcome when we popped in for a couple of hours. Had a few games on the free pool table and there are good value drinks available (a range of lagers, a box of cider, spirits and mixers etc.) and cheap bar snacks. Couple of darts boards, and a big screen which shows sky sports.

Made very welcome at this friendly community pub. Reasonable beer prices. We sat outside and enjoyed a few cold beers in the sunshine.

We accidentally found this place (it's on a back street) but what a great find-the owner is absolutely lovely and welcoming, the prices are good, he has a great bar snack collection and the locals are friendly and good for a laugh.

I have written reviews before for TaT when at the last location, and when they moved into the new location,we were first customer back in July this year. So Friday of this week was my second visit, and now really upto steam, and on the tracks for a new year. In prevysite,I loved the extremely large breakfast choice. Margot in new place, has reduced the range, quality is just as good, but less complicated and labour intensive,as it has to trade in today's climate. So we went for lunch... And as to be expected everything was top notch. Margot has years of catering experience and thinks up new ways to present her food. I had macaroni cheese, with topping of melted brie..served with pigs in blankets, slaw and salad. Two others had panini type pizza, and minced beef pie...all with the Margot twist. I have not made comment about the cakes....all made in the kitchen, all delicious and we always come away with cake for later. Thankfully I live about 159+ miles away, otherwise I would be a more regular visitor, and would need to lose more weight than now. I really like and rate TaT.

This is a hidden gem of a cafe. We went for breakfast and it was lovely. Well worth searching out and they are so friendly. We will be back 😊

we had previously been once to the Royal Oak and the carvery wasn't too bad. We went today and it was awful. The turkey despite being one they had just brought in was fairly cold and he cut it with the same knife and fork used for the pork. The yorkshire puddings were a cold lump of rubber and the carrots, red cabbage and beans were cold. The only veg not cold was in a cheese sauce. The potatoes were ok inside but so hard outside you had a job to cut them. The gravy was hot presumably to disguise that everything else was cold. very disappointing we won't go again. I would have said something but my husband just wanted to leave.
