A superb family meal, an excellent choice of meals, that were freshly cooked and more than plentiful! I had food envy of the other dishes coming out! The children’s menu was far more than the usual, again, freshly cooked and wholesome. Ed, the Head Chef came to check on us mid meal, a lovely touch. The pub was full, the atmosphere was good, bustling but not rowdy, really good! 100% we will be back - booking is essential!

Wow, what can we say….Amazing pub. Great atmosphere, great ales and great food. Just wish we lived closer, but we will definitely be back

I ate here with friends on Monday (11th March) and we all enjoyed our meals. The only slight criticism with my chicken tagliatelle alfredo was that it was served on a plate, not a pasta dish. I've never had a pasta meal served on a plate ever before! It looked like it was served up in a hurry as the pasta had spread all across the plate, and the chicken was placed on top of the pasta, so the meal was spread all over the plate. A pasta dish would have prevented this! The presentation wasn't good, however, my chicken tagliatelle alfredo was delicious. We all ordered desserts, which were pricey for the small portions, but they were delicious.

What a great place to eat. Excellent food and generous portions. Our group had two of the pies, the big burger and the salmon. All superb. Really friendly and attentive and nice pub atmosphere. Would highly recommend

We booked a table for 2 for dinner, we were visiting Weston Super Mare for the weekend so booked here based on the location & reviews and we wasnt disappointed! From the moment we walked through the door, the service was fantastic. We were seated straight away to our table, asked if we would like a drink and given the menus. The menu has a fantastic selection, we couldn’t believe how much choice there was and there was a specials board too! I chose pate for starter, then we had chilli con carne & spagetti bolognaise for mains. The portions were a great size, presented really well & delicious! Throughout the evening, the service continued to be exceptional. The female & male who served us all evening were lovely (unfortunately, i didn’t get their names) . We had apple pie & choc fudge cake for dessert which again were delicious! The portion of the choc fudge cake was huge! We will definately be coming back when we are next in the area in a couple of months time. Thankyou to the staff for making our evening lovely!!!

Driven past for many years and never stopped. Phoned and booked. A very busy local pub, Bar very busy as it was Friday night. Very good friendly atmosphere. Shown to our table in the restaurant side. 1st Class table service. We all had 3 courses. The food portions are very good sizes. The food is beautiful and local sourced and very very tasty. Wow! What a fabulous meal. Good size portions, full of flavour, and great service from the friendly staff. They have a great selection of real ales etc..... and they know how to pour a clear pint. Highly recommend anyone to visit. Dog friendly too.

Really good food, large portions so sadly we were too full for dessert ! very friendly and welcoming service. We will definitely visit again if we stay this way again.

The meals are superb at the Old Inn in Hutton. I think our waiter was called Leo, and he was a friendly young man. The meals are fair sizes, you won't leave the pub hungry! The pub itself needs a bit of a sprucing up as it's looking tired and shabby in places - hence the 4 stars, but the meals are simply delicious.

The meals in this pub are exceptionally good. We have eaten here many times in recent months and always been very pleased with the food. Although the menu is extensive, we have never had anything but an excellent experience. It is presented very much as a pub, rather than a pretentious bistro. It is cosy and the staff are delightful. We love it!

I booked a table for 6.30pm and we sat inside. Service was very good and as soon as we sat down the waitress appeared to take out drinks order - a pint of Palmers, Tribute, half pint of coke, a mixer and 250mls of Malbec - total bill £20.65 which in the current climate is very reasonable. The food order was taken and looked very appetising when it arrived. It had definitely been freshly cooked. Scampi tails, tenderloin, fish and chips and king prawn linguine - generous portions and good value. Three of us had a dessert - raspberry cheesecake, Balieys cheesecake and sorbet - all apparently delicious. The Baileys cheese cake was a bit expensive at £8.75 Total bill £99.20 - so less than £25 per person for 2 courses and a drink - good value Staff were very helpful I will definitely visit again

Best steak pie my other half has ever had! Both meals very reasonably priced and very tasty! Also a good selection of ales on the bar. Stayed the night locally and made sure we booked a table due to having our dog with us. Only downside was the size of the car park, if other patrons had parked better then we wouldn’t have had to park down the other end of the hamlet.

Well can,t say to much about the food, had a table booked for 7,30pm. Couldn't park had to wait for someone to leave. Walked in expecting a nice quiet pub. Nooo the noise and it was packed so walked straight out

4 of us for meal and drinks. Nice setting , we had our pre-meal drinks outside in evening sunshine. All of us enjoyed our meals, the main course was served hot and the staff were very friendly and attentive.I can recommend the fudge cake and the steak and Stilton pie. Car park at rear, good traditional English pub atmosphere.

There is nothing like a family run local pub because the staff are from the immediate area and loyal giving the management time to build up a reputation in quality of service and food.It is the greeting that sets the seal on the whole experience of the meal. To feel the friendliness of the place and realise it is not put on for your benefit but genuine is a major factor for me. Also to see a good specials board.My friend wanted a sirloin steak. To me a steak should be choice cut and cooked to perfection so that it melts in the mouth and is enjoyed well after it has been consumed. Like a lot of people my experience of steaks are very mixed from the dry and "I wish I had not ordered that", to the superb. As it was I was not in the state for a steak but my friend said his was excellent and it was very well presented!I had the prawn cocktail. Again I have had the good, bad and indifferent. But at The Old Inn mine was excellent. Very well presented and very tasty. The bread was good too!Sadly they did not have any real fish on the menu such as sea bass etc. on the night we went.I can understand why most tables were reserved. This is a must go to place!

We had Sunday lunch here and again it was lovely, they have also changed the menu, I had a beef stroganoff for £11.95 it was great my wife had the carvery which is of very generous portions and my mother had the fish and chips again a decent serving, what I like is that you are not tied to a roast on a Sunday and as always great service. We found this wonderful pub online and I spoke to a lovely lady Carol who booked us a table.We had a disabled Mum with us so we needed a table in the bar area and the staff were so accommodating.We only had snacks as we would be having an evening meal at our hotel.Our food was well presented and very enjoyable.A lovely traditional pub in a small village.

Was down the West country for a few days after a break at Drayton manor.Was staying at Holiday resort unity and was fed up with the poor quality food they were serving, so went to trip advisor for advice and found the fantastic "the old inn."Only 18 minutes drive from Holiday resort unity in brean.I eat out regularly in Surrey and have ate in many a decent restaurant, however is the best! From the moment we entered the staff were welcoming and polite and friendly.Our group was 4 adults and 2 children,We all had starters and mains and bill was only £92. Excellent value and excellent food well priced. Our complements to the whole team! From

Great selection of drinks on offer, including ales. Food always very good whether it be evening dinner or impromptu lunch. Wide variety of dishes available. Nice friendly and welcoming staff. Often visit for lunch on sunny days, when we can sit outside on the patio/beer garden and watch the world go by. Always seems to be busy in the evenings so if eating, best to book.

Ate there yesterday. Had the Jamaican vegetable curry with poppadum and naan. Very tasty. Hubby had the meat sizzler, which he enjoyed. Excellent desserts - had the Turkish Delight cheesecake and ice cream, which was delicious. Hubby had toffee pavlova, which he said was great too. Quaint little village just outside of Weston Super Mare. Tight on parking, though. We were there Sunday lunch time (they do a carvery too) so I would imagine their busiest time. The dog was welcomed and allowed to stay at our table. We have visited the pub before (many years ago) and deliberately visited. Very glad we did.

Had an evening meal here with friends, You need to book ahead as it is very popular. Great menu with lots of vegetarian and some slightly different dishes. Puddings are also fab and quite large! We enjoyed all of our food and drink and the staff were helpful and friendly, we were not hurried to leave the table once finished. Reasonable prices and waiting time, please notice you need to order food from the bar. A lovely evening!

This was our third visit to the Old Inn and as with the previous two it was another very enjoyable meal from their 2 for £9.90 menu. Two of us had the ham, egg and chips which came with very nice lean ham, one had the cock-a-doodle chicken which we've had before and again was superb. I had the special of the day which was filleted sardines with a chilli and lime dressing, salad and chips and was delicious. The staff as usual were helpful, polite and attentive and the real ales excellent. We'll be back!

The Old Inn has been under new management for some time we were told and it is now much improved.It is a completely free house for beers and the food is now produced by a chef.On this visit we had the speciality of the day which was spicy sardines. The meal was delicious and very good but it was not spicy!The selection of beers was good. We visited with friends of ours who live in Hutton, on a Sunday afternoon, and it was extremely busy. However, service was good and the place is very clean.

Village pubs seem to be closing down everywhere, all those who fail elsewhere should visit and see what a successful pub looks like. The Old Inn has it, a pub of character with charm and personality strengthened by its efficient friendly staff, a welcoming bar for those wanting to just drink, an excellent food menu of pub favourites, fancy meals, steaks and fish dishes. No wonder this pub is busy, it is a winner, book it now.

Spent a very pleasant evening here with friends. We ordered our food at the bar and we were told there was a 30 to 40 minute wait, so we were pleasantly surprised when the all the food arrived much sooner. We all had something different including chicken sizzlers, fish, pork and gammon, but each meal was perfectly cooked and hot. They were fully booked but seemed to cope very well. Prices are very reasonable and I would definitely eat there again. It's a very popular place so you need to book, otherwise you could be disappointed.

What a little gem to find. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing and the portions are of good size. There is something for everyone here to eat. From grilled meals, burgers, salads, fish and curries. There is a large board of specials available to. The pudding selection is just as good and if your gluten free dont worry theres loads to choose from. But don't forget to book a table first because even mid week for lunch you will struggle to get a table if you don't.

We visit the Old Inn regularly they are very friendly and the food is great especially the Sunday Carvery, they also do a good selection menu 2 meals foe £9.90 on various days.

Waren zum Nachtessen dort. Sehr gut gegessen. Spaghetti mit Fleischballen jedoch nicht zu empfehlen. Der Rest war sehr gut. Reservieren lohnt sich.

This is a lovely, dog-friendly local pub. The food is consistently very good and freshly prepared. The fish and chips is particularly delicious, in sharp contrast to a lot of the fish and chips in Weston itself. I also highly recommend the vegetarian wellington. My daughter, who is vegan, came with us and this was not a problem at all; there is always at least one vegan option on the regular menu. Portion sizes are extremely generous. There is an extensive desert menu, which looks delicious, but we have always been too full to try one! The staff are always most welcoming and friendly. There is a big garden at the front which is very pleasant, weather permitting.

An evening out with a group of friends. Nice atmosphere, very busy. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was great.

Sunday lunch great just a shame not more child friendly , felt landlord and landlady didn't want children just adults that drank , no seating if just there for a drink all about the food !!

My family and I visited here with friends n Christmas Eve for Lunch, it was perfect the food was all fresh produce, freshly cooked and traditional. The atmosphere was wonderful and we all had a great time all the children enjoyed as well

I eat here regularly and they have a great menu with daily specials, lots of home cooked food not re-heated microwave food like a lot of pubs. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are extremely friendly, can highly recommend it.

We had a lovely meal here, beautiful hot home cooked food in a lovely Oldy world pub, with lovely staff.

First visit for my partner and I yesterday evening, beer was excellent (Tribute), the staff were polite,knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We both had the Brixham fish and chips, the fish was large, meaty and succulent. Chips were good, could have been a tad crispier. The pub itself was busy, most tables full, we managed to get on one of only a handful that weren't reserved. All in all, excellent, will be returning soon.

We dithered over the menu or the Sunday carvery, the carvery won. Large plates, good meat, range of vegetables all for less than £10. Don't be surprised by the gravy, it is very tasty but designed to go with meat and turkey. The menu also looked good with a few good vegi options as well. The Otter beer was sublime. Planning to visit again.

The Old Inn offers a great selection of meals including an interesting specials board.This is a traditional pub which offers excellent food as well.I had the baked trout off the specials board. It was not only very large but beautifully cooked. My wife had the Thai curry which was also very tasty.Would recommend to anyone who likes good food and a proper pub.

Went to this restuarant to celebrate a birthday and what a find, this is what country pubs should be about, to me it has the lot friendly staff, lovely food, large portions, plenty of choice, what a lovely evening, we will go back again as soon as possible.

We had the absolute pleasure of being back in the old inn. We enjoyed the minimoon package despite being married in the old inn 5 years ago. Every aspect of the package was fantastic, only surpassed by the excellent service we received. Special thanks to Carl our waiter who made our dining experiences a delight.

I had such an amazing Saturday lunch lunch at the old inn.The stuff were super friendly, the food was delicious and quick considering it was super busy. Lovely place for kids also.

What a surprise! Dropped in for an hour around 6.30 on a Friday for a quiet pint and it was puzzing! Lots of families eating what looked like great food, a really good atmosphere, really friendly and helpful staff and good beer. Parking round the back off road as well. Will be back! A good old fashioned and lively pub!

Visited today with friends to celebrate my birthday,had the calves liver from the specials board,absolutely delicious.Then shared the yummiest chocolate brownies.My 5th visit to the old inn and every meal has been perfect.I will be back.

Had a light lunch here on 2 January, my prawn cocktail was packed with prawns and the accompanying bread was a lovely soft multigrain. My cousins jacket potato was huge with plenty of cheese topping and the service was fast and friendly. I would like to come back for dinner! Sadly they were fully booked that night so next Christmas I will book well ahead for my yearly visit to WSM!

This is a nice village pub ,with friendly staff and an extensive menu,We all ordered different meals and they were all cooked and presented to a very high standard .This is not an expensive place to eat and is far better than any of the main chain pubs so when in the area give it a try .

We're never disappointed by the Old Inn. It's a proper local pub with a good atmosphere, friendly staff and owners and a good menu plus a daily specials board. There is always fresh fish and they use local produce.Prices are reasonable, with a lot of main courses at under. The dessert board is very tempting too.For diners who don't want to be with dogs, there is the dining room area. Best to book at the weekend to be sure of a table, whether it's the dining room or the bar area.

What a fantastic find! I was looking for a dog-friendly place to eat, in or near Weston, and this place certainly deserves all the excellent reviews. I was very lucky that they had just had a cancellation and could fit us in on a Friday evening. Despite the pub being full, there was space in the car park. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and the menu had a great selection, including five or six vegetarian choices. There were also daily specials on a blackboard, and some lovely looking deserts which we sadly didn't have room for. My delicious 'vegetarian wellington' was clearly home made and served with a generous portion of chips and salad. My father had a chicken dish which was perfectly cooked and served with a tasty sauce. There were about five or six dogs there but all very well behaved! Great atmosphere, delicious homemade food at very reasonable prices, and a good selection of beers! I would highly recommend the Old Inn and I will definitely book to come here again on our next visit to Weston.

Superb pub, dad liked the Otter Head beer, kids loved the choice of 15 or so puddings. Great offer and choice of food, really friendly staff, with exceptional hearing! We are going back this week...

We visited this pub after reading its excellent reviews on TA and we weren't disappointed. Great atmosphere, friendly welcome and lovely food at a very reasonable price. It's not far from home, so we'll be going back regularly.

We went for a date night whilst the grandparents had the kids for a few hours , make sure you book well in advance as in school holidays it can get full all week we were lucky we got a place (but obviously shows how good it is ). Food was stunning and brilliantly cooked and the staff were very friendly, smiley and polite. Loved the feel of this place old worldly with modern food and lovely cosy atmosphere would definitely go again.

Back to the Old Inn in Hutton for a double birthday meal, wasn't as crowded as usual and the food was cooked perfectly and delicious. This place is a gem and usually much busier. Good value and great grub.

We often eat at our local pub - The Old Inn Hutton. The owners, Carol & John have improved the building and the menu. There's a Specials Board and lots of wonderful desserts to choose from. Simple food is available plus more complicated fayre. The Sunday Carvery is very popular and definitely requires the effort of booking days beforehand. There's a simple menu for children too and plenty for vegetarians to enjoy.

Local ale & local dishes. Sunday carvery is 100% with plenty a selection. Staff are polite & watching customers walk into the pub are soon welcomed. Building is very nice & dog friendly also

We ran here from just up the Main Street last night, through the torrential rain, and were immediately welcomed as we bustled in through the front door of The Old Inn. We had booked a table for the 7 of us, 4 generations of the same family, between 6 months old and 89. All I can really say was that we had a fantastic meal, the food was great, the service was perfect and the price was very very reasonable for what was a lovely evening, in spite of the weather!
