This is a really lovely cafe. There was lots of choice and the food was excellent and a reasonable price. The service was excellent and the portions were generous. There was also a good variety of food that was gluten free. I would highly recommend this tea shop.

We were looking for gluten free options in Pateley bridge having discovered that the pancake place no longer offered anything. We wandered in here without much hope as nothing was advertised but the clued-up owner (I think) was exceedingly kind and helpful and offered many choices. My partner had egg, ham and chips but should cake have been required there were three on offer. I had a lovely ploughman’s (gluten) and there was proper Yorkshire Tea. While we were eating the place became full and we could hear people being directed to try elsewhere and on one occasion an elderly gentleman was able to use the loo even though he wasn’t a customer. Honestly it was like discovering that the tooth fairy actually exists (of course she does). We may have to go back just for the beef and chips…

Called in for lunch today, we are regular visitors, and Don greeted us with lovely welcome (as always) we are are staying in Pateley for a week. I chose a beautiful Ham (small portion) with homemade chips and Mike chose a giant Yorkshire pudding filled with beef and vegetables and loads of gravy with a spare jug of gravy too, washed down with a lovely cup of Yorkshire tea, the whole meal was faultless would not hesitate to recommend the Granary tea room in Pateley Bridge.

I honestly cannot praise this cafe enough! My friend and I were out walking around Pateley Bridge and were looking for a decent stop off. With it being a Monday, a lot of the cafes were closed, but we found this one open on the high street. And what a find it was! From the minute we walked in, we were made to feel like royalty. Bearing in mind, we were soaked from the rain and had muddy shoes… But we were greeted by such a friendly gentleman who showed us to a table and explained the menu and the specials board. Within a couple of minutes, he was back to take our order. I had a cheese and tomato toastie and my friend had a jacket potato (photos attached). The food was brought out in no time at all. It was piping hot, fresh, and home made. Absolutely beautiful. We loved it so much that we ordered a pudding from the specials board; Jam Roly Poly! Again, this was lovely. By the time we were leaving, the cafe was full! There were no seats left, so it’s clearly very popular. It was so lovely to also see regulars walking in too and getting a personal greeting from the staff. We had two main meals, two puddings and four drinks and the final total was just £29! So it’s definitely affordable and the cheaper price does absolutely not affect the quality of the food. If you are visiting Pateley Bridge, then this is definitely worth a stop off!

Came across this fantastic little dog friendly cafe over the busy Bank Holiday weekend. At first there were no tables free, but the friendly staff gave us a time to come back if we still wanted to go there, when they would have one free. Went back at the time given, and so glad we did. With a warm welcome back, the staff gave us the update on the available specials, plus their standard menu with loads of choices, so much choice, but we opted for the Sunday roast dinners - they were cooked just how we liked it, fantastic selection of veg, mash, roasties, Yorkshire pud & big jug of tasty gravy! What more could you want - definitely recommended, and if they are busy, you will find it well worth going back later! We will definitely be going back if we are in the area again 😁

My partner and I had lunch here. Steak pie, chips and mushy peas with tea for two. It was delicious. A generous slice of pie full of melt-in-the- mouth beef, from the local butcher. Plenty of chips which were [erfect;y cooked. Ramekin of tasty peas and lots of thick gravy. The tea was nice and strong. We were served by a gentlemen whom I think was the owner. Amazing. I am working my way round the granolas and bircher mueslis of Harrogate and Leeds and this one might have just taken top spot! The granola is delicious, chia yoghurt also, and so much fresh fruit. None of the compote nonsense so many places are providing! My friend had the pancakes which I also tasted and will be ordering next time (preferably tomorrow as I can't wait to go back) as they were so tasty (and not too sweet). The more savoury dishes looked excellent too. Staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The kitchen is open so you can see exactly what's going on and smell the delicious smells. The whole place is light, airy and clean. Great soap in the loos too! If I could rate it higher I would. My new favourite place. See you in there whilst I work my way through the entire menu.

After finding out about this new Hong Kong cafe in the Stray Ferret news, we decided to pay a visit for lunch. The menu was limited but boy, the food was exceptional! We had the fried dumplings and the prawn tempura with curry & rice, accompanied with milk tea. We’ll definitely go back and recommend you seek out.

Love coming to cocoajoes! I find it hard to resist going in every time I visit York. The service is so friendly and welcoming. I love the hot chocolates and the cold chocolate option. Honey I'm comb in a personal favourite. I wanted to try something a little different and the person who was helping me gave me options and let me try the chocolate beforehand. An excellent idea and I can't wait to visit again!

Stopped at the tearoom for lunch during a visit to Ripon. My wife had the savoury cream tea. It was the best scone she has ever had, delicious. I had the ham and cheese toastie. This was also delicious, better than any offering I've made myself. Definitely worth a visit.

The atmosphere was chilled and fairly quite. The menu quality ha a variety amazing options to choose for example the latte was £3.20. We had exceptional service from Euan and Iona! The hygiene was 10 out of 10 cleaning service state of the art. The prices are reasonable and not to expensive compared to the other cafes. Accessible wheel chairs is very good they can manage to get in and out to go through a magical a garden to chill out and have amazing time with their drinks! overall very outstanding service and definitely come back and we will look forward to see you again soon.
