What a fabulous evening at the Old Cheese Shop cafe Cheese and cider tasting evening. We went as a small group and left with a bunch of new friends! The cheese and cider were delicious and the hospitality and knowledge of the hosts were faultless. Excellent value for money, will definitely book again for the third time. What an entertaining evening. Topped off by an impromptu rendition of Cornwall My Home. This is what community is all about. Thank you so much.

First visit to Truro since 2019 and first visit to the Old Cheese Shop since then. Has anything changed through COVID? Nope. The welcome is as warm, the hot chocolate delicious, and the cinnamon swirl as tasty as ever. Same owner. Same friendly and helpful service. Same rating. An absolute delight on a dull winter’s day. Thank you. X

What an absolutely gorgeous hamper that Katie and her team made for us for a friends leaving present. From an initial phonecall with a lovely young lady to a string of emails with the owner, communication and service was 5* and resulted in a product that was more than we could have wished for, even down to ensuring the cheese was from a fresh delivery the day before. Thanks team, won’t hesitate to use again!

We ordered a cheese cake tower for our wedding day and it was amazing and our guest loved it. Not only was it delicious cheese it was also super good value. Kate was very helpful and arranged all of it to take the stress away and even delivered it to the hotel wedding venue. Couldn't recommend it enough :-)

The Old Cheese Shop was a place we had noticed on Instagram before our visit to Cornwall. We decided we would head to Truro and pay it a visit. It’s just outside the shopping centre but easily walkable. When we arrived we found very friendly and welcoming staff. They may the experience even better. The coffee was stunning. We had cappuccinos which had a lovely taste. The cakes were sublime. Honest. Bronuts for the kids were ace. Good pastries too. We all enjoyed our food. They stock other local items too so we bought a sample of these. Mostly chocolate to be honest. We will definitely go back next time.

What a little gem the Old Cheese Shop is! Firstly and most importantly for a coffee shop it serves excellent coffee, alongside a great selection of cakes, sandwiches etc for all dietary requirements. They also have a deli type shop for home or for gifts. As they are conveniently located between a lovely park, the station and the town we can always find an excuse to pop by when we are out and about in Truro, especially as they have a cosy little seating area indoors for wet days. Last but not least the team are friendly, welcoming and always remember everyone. See you soon!

The Old Cheese shop is our favourite little coffee takeaway in Truro and we go very regularly. Katie and the team are so friendly and accommodating. Great pasties (we especially love the cruffins!), good coffee and good range of teas.

A superb little coffee & Cheese shop. What they lack in space they make up for with thier hospitality & excellent coffee. They use a coffee roasted in Newquay &serve it at just the right temperature. The flat white was the best I have had locally for quite a few years. They have a selection of local cakes including the incredible cinamon buns that every one raves about. They are dog friendly & also have a small outdoor seating area for when the weather is good. It was great to see lots of regulars dropping in on the way to work, which is always a sign of a good cafe. Really shouldnt recommend as with it being so small I might not get in next time....

This is the third time that I've received a cheese hamper from The Old Cheese Shop for my Birthday, and what a treat it was. Beautifully presented in a recyclable box that looked at first glance to be a genuine wicker basket. The selection of cheeses together with a jar of relish, box of cheese biscuits and a packet of olives was truly delicious. The hamper was delivered by a very pleasant young man who didn't just hand the box over, but wished me a Happy Birthday and paused for a minute or two to ask if I had any plans for the day. It's touches like this that make a good present, that much more special .I thoroughly recommend this shop, it deserves to flourish, and for anyone who is a cheese lover a hamper like mine would make an ideal present.

Covid is obviously such a difficult time for businesses and making things still seem friendly but The Old Cheese shop does such an amazing job of this! The protective screen in the doorway paired with the little box to grab your treats from just seems to make the experience a little more fun as well as being pandemic-friendly. My new favourite place to get coffee in Cornwall. Vegan milk options and the best coconut lattes.

A warm welcome and lovely service. My friend and I thought we’d try £5 Truro, two cream teas for a fiver. What a bargain, lovely light homemade scones and a lovely pot of tea. Will definitely be back to try other cakes, they all looked delicious and they are all homemade. Would highly recommend.

Visited The Old Cheese Shop when visiting family in Cornwall. We travelled by train and this great little place is at the bottom of the hill leading from the station. We were welcomed by (I think) the owner who took time to explain the locally sourced cakes etc. He was very friendly and helpful. We each had a cake he sourced from a local bakery and coffee. I was lucky enough to have the last Cinnamon Swirl- my wife had an Almond Croissant. It was wonderful...when ‘Harry Met Sally’ wonderful. The coffee was also excellent and the service throughout was warm and friendly. Completely faultless and a great find. If you ‘re ever in Truro and fancy a short walk a couple of hundred yards past the museum then this is well worth a visit.

Just had The Drake and the Mrs Perryman. Both came with plenty of chips, the actual duck dishes were outstanding, really nice. We will be returning to try another dish when we return next year. We were lucky to have crispy skin as well. We spotted the sign for the duck Truck while we were driving to our cottage in Tintagel and decided to give it a go during our stay. We were not disappointed. Top local produce, by the farmer. Keep up the good work, we'll be back
