The Oak Bar & Grill at The Great Barr Hotel in Sandwell

A really good hotel bar. Has the atmosphere of a good pub with friendly staff and comfortable interior. Will definitely return when we return to Birmingham.

My friend ordered food and he had to wait a staggering 45 minutes whilst i had to wait 5 minutes. Additionally, my fries were undercooked, the bacon was hot and rock solid. I wouldn't recommend, I'd rather get take away. On the other hand, staff were good.

The prices are outrageously high expectations were high as the price of food was 12 pound a single burger and I felt sick after eating it, furthermore a pint is 5 pound which is a very steep. The food was pre-booked and still was 40 minutes late which is disgraceful.

Food isn’t great and it arrives late. The prices are too expensive for the quality (bacon was cold and hard at breakfast, additionally sausages are horrible (almost vomited))and service (wait time) is also lacking, could be the incompetence of the chef or lack of staff. However the staff are friendly although this does not weigh in when compared to what was stated above. Did I mention a pint of beer is 5 quid?
