the food was great and the lady chef was very helpful. Its not often someone can cook a blue steak correctly but it was perfect. She even came out personally to make sure it was to our liking. it was my daughters 13th birthday and the young lady who server us sang happy birthday. There were 11 of us and we had to order separate but the food still all came out together and in a timely manor. food and service was fab.

What a wonderful meal! Best steak that I’ve had in a while! Great Guinness, A lovely pint of Worthingtons and excellent red wine. Friendly, helpful Staff, Becky was excellent! Right on my doorstep for my birthday!

We have been going to this pub for years and it is always great. The staff are friendly and helpful, they make you feel very welcome. The food never lets you down and Charlie and Vicki have made such a positive difference to this pub when the old manager left. The refit of the pub is lovely and the pub is nice and clean. It has become a home away from home!

Took the grandchildren during the half term for a lunch time meal, the children's food was £1.00 each wich they very much enjoyed we had meals from the menu it was cooked perfectly and the cost was very reasonable, will certainly be visiting again

Awful! Kids were playing football in the middle of the restaurant. There was only one waitress who was running food to the entire restaurant she was working so hard, as a result of that she was sweating and starting to smell. The manager and assistant manger were behind the bar, the bar was full of used empty glasses. The tables weren’t cleared from previous customers before new customers wanted to sit down and eat. It wasn’t an enjoyable experience at all. I was surprised the food actually came out hot even if it was bog standard quality. I know this pub is under new management recently but if the managers that were behind the bar choose to run the place how I witness…good luck to them!

My fiancé and I decided to take advantage of the free drink voucher code I’d been sent by The Nugget for my birthday next week. We always have a good time at The Nugget, the food was great, hot and came out quickly even though they were quite busy. The girl who served us, Katie, was brilliant, she made sure we’d got everything we needed, was polite and friendly and was working so hard - she didn’t seem stressed at all (as someone who works in hospitality I know how hard it can be to remain calm when it’s busy) Thank you for our lovely meal :)

We recently visited The Nugget for a meal. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the staff extremely polite and helpful. The food was hot and delicious, and didn’t take long to arrive. If you want a homely, welcoming dining experience, then I can’t recommend the Nugget enough. We will definitely be returning.

It is what it is. You wouldn’t go here for a nice meal. It’s basic pub grub at cheap prices. Some of its clientele are a bit rough. The car park in the lighter evenings is overrun with drunk chavs without much going on in their heads, commenting on the women walking past. Bit like the stone age. Avoid if you are a lone female.

Four adults & one child, we all sat at a clean table & where reminded to enter our registration for the car park. We all had food, that didn’t take long to arrive. All our dishes where absolutely lovely & the child had ice cream , strawberries & dips. Staff members were very polite. I would definitely recommend this place & would definitely go back . Short changed by a man with blondey/light brown hair. About 40 yo. The bar man had a bad attitude with me when I asked for limes in corona, I didn't rise to it, went back to watch the game and realised he'd short changed me aswell. Maybe this explains the attitude. I didnt say or confront him at the time as I dont like this type of thing.

I visited this pub last night and ordered chips and a burger. The chips were half cooked pale and some were actually raw. The burger was swimming in grease. Very disappointed and looked like a kid had cooked it in a hurry. The pudding was nice

I came to this pub on Friday night with my other half and was pleasantly surprised with how busy it was, however this did not affect our visit in the slightest as the staff seemed to be well organised and happy. We ordered the chicken platter and the rib eye steak and both meals came out piping hot and cooked to perfection. The platter was huge and absolutely delicious And the portion size was very generous. I would highly recommend visiting here as the staff are very friendly also.

I've been visiting the Nugget for many years. It's a 1920s (1923) pub with many original features, I'm not one of the original ones.Every pub in the UK is facing challenges but the Nugget keeps on. Yes, it's a chain pub, but the atmosphere is different. Everyone is welcome and the staff genuinely care.I often visit solo and when I walk in the staff know me and what I drink, the service I get is always excellent. It may be a local pub but it's not just for local people.

I have been using the Nugget for quite some time but have to say, since the new manager has taken over it has been like a breath of fresh air. It's very rare you see a manager on the bar like she always is especially around this area. Not only this but you can tell she cares about not only the customers but also the staff. They all seem so much happier since the old guy went somewhere else.Like in some other reviews the pub is a bit tatty not going to sugarcoat it but it's clean, it's tidy and the food is so much better than before. The whole pub has a better vibe to it.

Staff are pleasant but in short supply at the bar.The pub itself is in urgent need of an upgradeTables, chairs and bench seating are in need of repair/ replacement. Interior window frames are dirty with mold.The picnic tables in the car park outside the front entrance look dreadful and form a barrier to customers walking in. Another Sizzler pub a mile away is so much cleaner and well organisesd.

So today myself, dad, nan and my son visited the nugget, we visit here often and have found large parties are too much for them to handle but hey ho a table of 4 should be easy right? Well no firstly there was no tables except the 16+ eating area so we sat there, yes my son is only 15 months but he was quiet and content playing with his bear in his chair. We were asked to move, which we agreed because we couldn’t find alternative seating beforehand. We were then placed in the bar with various intoxicated males shouting about football standing around us. (No place for a 15m old). We ordered 2 roast chicken Sunday dinners and a classic Italian chicken and a side of rice. SIMPLE well we thought so anyway.

I would like to congratulate the area manager today you have done an incredible job in keeping staff costs down however in the hour we were sat there 5 walked out, a table of about 20 recieved 5 free meals and 30 per cent off , my party of 5 all ate at varying times and the table of 5 next to me were extremely unhappy . I meet up with a group of former colleagues once a month and visit various pubs for lunch in and around Coventry. We decided to go to the Nuggett and were very impressed. We had a reserved table for 6 in the adults only area and it was spot on. Mandy looked after us very well, guiding us through the food & drinks menu& taking orders with a smile. I had the superfood salad with chicken & bacon & blue cheese dressing. It was absolutely gorgeous, one of my friends ordered the same and was very impressed. The others had curry, lasagne & chilli, all looked lovely & came well presented and hot. I had a lovely glass of Help for Heroes Sauvignon Blanca which went well with the salad. I am impressed with everything at The Nuggett and will definitely be going back soon!

Really disappointed that we came here for food at 8:15 on a Saturday night to be told they had already stopped serving food as they have a singer on! Still bringing food out to other tables. Tables were dirty as well.

Called in the Nugget with husband & 2 friends. Had a lovely lunch, I had Beef Chiili, very good,, the rest had fish & chips, also good. Staff friendly & efficient. Quick service, good prices. All in all, a lovely time. Thank you.

Not good, steak overcooked, replaced and still overcooked. Hunters chicken dry. Offered free puddings for the inconvenience. Ordered puddings at 7.47pm, reminded the waitress at 8.21pm and decided to just leave 8.50pm Supposed to be a treat for my sons 16th Birthday. Would not recommend. Arrived at 6.30pm and left disappointed at 8.50pm

We ate at the nugget and we all had the cauliflower katsu curry which was advertised as coming with salsa and red onion. However when the food came it appeared that every ingredient had been mixed together, the vegetables were poor- little was served on the plate and it appeared that the cauliflower was just breadcrumbs, the salsa and red onion didn't come with the meal- we had to ask and it was just a sample pot with some quickly sliced tomato and onion. We all left still hungry, overall quality very poor, would not recommend

The nugget is an excellent pub with fantastic service and fantastic food, a group of friends and I went just for a quick drink after uni and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the service and the food. Quality you wouldn’t expect from a pub. Lilly was he girl serving was fantastic, so polite and cordial.

They ensured that we had a private space for our reception; helped us to choose the right menu; and took great care of us and our visitors on the day. Decided to visit this place on Sunday 3rd February evening- staying at a nearby hotel. Food ordered and arrived in a timely manner. Ordered burger and chips, both of these were cold, so don’t think either was cooked to order? Asked for hot food plate was taken away. When brought back the chips had been warmed, so explained to a member of staff (in a polite way) that both needed to be replaced she went very grumpy and would let the duty manager know as the new manager had been replaced yet again. I wasn’t interested in how many managers they get through. Anyway paid for the drinks and got a refund on the food, as went somewhere else. Moral of the story check trip advisor first next time.

Visited tonight as part of a group booking. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Meals arrived quickly and thanks to our waiter Danny who couldn't have been more helpful. By the time we got round to ordering dessert, the kitchen had closed, but he ensured we all received our choices with no hassle.

After using the nugget for 2-3 years to gather after my girlfriends football team on a Sunday (having never been asked to remove my cap once...ever) the most unfriendly waitress, followed by an even ruder manager asked to remove our caps from me and another friend. Once we removed our caps, the manager continued to goad us as we calmly pointed out his policy was floored as we had never been asked this in almost 3 years of using the pub. I always wear my cap, especially on a Sunday when my hair is looking slightly dodgier than usual, if I was asked to remove it (nicely) I would understand and accept. You can’t just be like that, especially to customers. the manager fully knows us; he knows almost every Sunday we use the pub after a game and we have even spoken before on rare occasion so the whole situation suprised and eventually dissapointed me.

Absolutely 100% recommend the Nugget not only is the food and service excellent the atmosphere is very calm and relaxed and enjoyable, I have been agoraphobic for almost 20 years and I am able to go here enjoy a meal and an evening out without feeling anxious or panicked in anyway. We went recently for my daughters birthday they allowed us to take a cake in for her and there were three generations of family that attended some of which hadn’t seen each other for over 40 years, seeing people in their seventies feeling comfortable and laughing etc just goes to show the kind of place it is and after eating them asking when can we come back I think speaks for itself xx

Visited with family and we chose a day when they was big parties end of term for schools i think when we queued and ordered Food we was told there was a 45 Minute wait for food. We ordered our food and the place its self was very busy inside and out. Tables and certain parts of the pub looking very tired. Food arrived about an hour later but the food was good and was small portions but all enjoyed the food.

I came in with my misses for food and drink and was not disappointed! The food was fantastic and couldn't have been more delicious. Also was greeted with a friendly smile by the staff, Danny I think his name was. Overall I would reccomend this to everyone and we will be back.
