I only use the Deli Café when I come to Hunstanton.. The coffee is delicious and I am OBSESSED with the Halloumi and sweet chilli breakfast roll. It is delicious! Always feel so welcomed.

What a find! Came in to try the local produce they use and it didn’t disappoint! Large range of local beers/wines and the food is all freshly made in house using local produce! I went for the simple ham cheese and chutney sandwich and it was delicious. They used a local pickle and ham of the bone which made this sandwich stand out from all the other throw together garage pre packed sandwiches. Seems a little pricey but well worth it when it’s as filled as it was and as fresh! Great location and stunning flower wall. Will definitely to try the cakes!

We have been coming here as a family for years on our holidays. Last week we returned. We went to the Norfolk Deli Cafe for lunch and all ordered sandwiches. I was the only one ordered the smoked salmon one- and the only one who then got food poisoning which took all week to recover from. Later that week we returned to the Deli and bought a variety of foods. My mother bought a vegan sausage roll, took one bite and discovered the whole filling was covered in a layer of mould! We went back for a refund- the man behind the counter did not even apologise! We were all very disappointed but after this will unfortunately not be returning.

Food was ok, appreciate options for all - veggie/vegan etc. and good location. Shame the staff (one in particular) was rather rude and unwelcoming though. Having worked in hospitality too, it can be a stressful gig but no need for unnecessary rudeness.

Came in for a drink and immediately told we couldn't have food as they were closing. No please or thankyou from the staff. Completely forgot to serve us and very surly when we asked for our drinks...blamed it on their colleague who had left and clearly preferred to do the cleaning than serve us. Wont be returning.

Amazing! The food was delicious I has the ‘Your gorgeous’ sandwich which was packed with chicken halloumi and chilli jam! Followed by a hide slice of carrot cake. Everything is homemade and even though it seemed quite pricey at first after receiving my food I soon realised it was great value for money. Staff were extremely friendly and smiley would highly recommend

Well, on the plus side, the apple cake was reportedly delicious and so was my latte and tri-colore toastie. Less happily, the staff were polite but unsmiling, the flowers on the table were mostly dead, the dressing on the leaves was just plain nasty. Then people nearby reported mouldy bread (both of their toasties). I heard the waitress say she would be contacting the bread supplier - well I'm no expert but don't the bakers generally send freshly baked bread to customers? I asked if it was the same bread which I had in my (nearly finished) lunch. She said yes, but it was OK because another customer who had it too had said theirs was OK. No apology, no sign of concern. Well, I'm not sure how others would feel, but - bearing in mind that my toastie had a lot of pesto in, and so was green at all visible points - I was pretty disgusted. It is probably unnecessary to say we will not be returning. I can recommend the Copper Kettle - just along the street - and sincerely wish they had been open that day.

Awful. Bread covered in mould. Poor apology. Refused return of other sandwiches from other customers for same loaf. Disgusting. Stay away.

The food and drink was amazing but for the attitude of staff, there are much nicer alternatives locally. Staff can be so rude and ignorant to even be courteous. Avoid.

Sorry to write this review as have always enjoyed excellent food (lunches and snacks) and lovely staff. We visit the cafe all year round. Today we ordered sausage rolls and coffee. Coffee was lovely but sausage rolls tasted awful. Dry, grainy and not pleasant. I spoke to staff member as a couple of weeks ago they were so gorgeous. and tasty. The lady didn’t seem bothered, said they had changed recipe and had more garlic etc added, then said they were from a new supplier. We left the sausage rolls and won’t go again. Sad. Advise you look at this supplier’s quality.

I have been several times in the past when I've been on holiday in the area. Staff went through the motions but are miserable. I stood waiting to order and one person was making a sandwich literally in front of me and did not acknowledge me at all. Eventually the other person working there asked me to order 'here' one foot away from where the other person was making the sandwich. It does look quite grubby behind the counter the place looks like it needs a deep clean. I won't be going back to many other places around now that are much better and the staff actually appreciate your custom.

Lovely breakfast baps, the options are very good; allowing single, double or triple toppings. Really good value for money. Outstanding selection of cakes! It’s so difficult to choose from the treats on offer. Friendly service, staff always welcome customers with a big smile. Also, very helpful when it comes to explaining all the sweet treats available! Really great for a sit-in or a takeaway breakfast or a sweet treat on the go!

I wasn’t served because I have allergies. I asked for help with what to order and was told that they ‘don’t tolerate’ people with allergies, before even asking me what it is I’m allergic to or how severe it is. We were then sent away by the manager. Making me feel utterly embarrassed for having allergies, which is completely out of my control. It just makes you wonder how clean a kitchen is if an establishment can’t follow simple hygiene guidelines and keep food separate.

I hate leaving bad reviews but we were left so so disappointed. In Norfolk for a week for a holiday, decided to stop here for some lunch and a drink. The lady was rude to my partner after he didn’t tip, no conversation from the staff and we felt really unwelcome. My partners hot chocolate had a skin on, and was cold. His coke glass had hair in it and he didn’t drink any after that. My coffee was like warm. Our table was dirty and we had to tidy it. We were the only people there too. The menu took up half our table, and the lady bringing our food put it on top of the menu, that I had to move somewhere else. The food was fine? Not bad to be honest. Will never be returning. Felt uncomfortable, unwelcome and disappointed.

The coffee is the best in Hunstanton. The sandwiches are huge and delicious and there is a huge selection. They are filled incredibly generously. Yum.

Popped in here on the of chance as we were hungry! I had a sandwich think it was (your gorgeous) so chicken chilli jam hallumi… came with crisps and salad and was yummy! Hubby had CBA (I think 😂) chicken bacon avocado… again said was yummy! We were served by a very polite young lady and all was lovely!

Rude staff, terrible service. I rarely complain and have never left somewhere before ordering, but I was so disappointed with the Norfolk Deli Cafe today and certainly will never be back. I can see why recent reviews have been so poor. I attended with my family today (Sunday morning) - to a place where we have previously had a lovely breakfast . There were 3 tables of two vacant, and I asked at the counter if it would be possible to push two tables together as there were 4 of us. I was told “not really” by the staff member but she seemingly reluctantly came over and pushed them together for me. I thanked her but wasn’t acknowledged at all. The cafe advertised that they served their breakfast menu 9:30 - 11:30am. My husband joined the queue at 11am to place our order. It took 15mins to get to the front of the queue to the counter; we stated what we’d like to order we were abruptly told that they’d stopped serving breakfast items entirely as were “running out of sausage and bacon”. I tried to point out that it would have been useful to advise people in the queue of this as there were a number of people behind us also waiting to order breakfast items, and we would now have to look through the other menu for alternatives, and didn’t want to hold people up. I was met with an extremely rude response to state that this was how it was as they had run out. There was no apology, suggestions of alternatives or slight understanding or kindness. The staff seemed put out that we were even there. We said that we would go elsewhere and left the cafe. We were met with tutting and glares by the staff as we left, making us feel really unwelcome and like we had done something wrong. As we were leaving I heard the staff member giving the same response to other customers who were equally unhappy. Needless to say we will not be returning here. Unfortunately unless the attitude of the staff changes I cannot see this business continuing to be a success

I very rarely complain but will not be returning here. Twice we have been in and what we wanted was not available so wont be bothering a third time. We went to Cafe Legge instead and had an absolutely super lunch with great friendly service, so that was a definite plus, and where we will go to again.

I hate to write bad reviews but unfortunately feel it is necessary for this place :( So I am a local student, who often frequented this cafe to study. I usually over the course of the day buy drinks, snacks, my lunch etc. Today upon entering I wasn’t hungry yet, so sat down to work. After a while a waitress came over and asked if I’d be ordering anything. I apologised and said yes of course, I am a regular and usually buy things as I work etc, just not hungry yet. She then proceeded to tell me that me charging my laptop was wasting too much electricity, and that a coffee every few hours simply doesn’t cut it. Bare in mind I was the only customer in the cafe at that time (and it was not close to closing), so I then left, losing them business and their only customer at that time?? I found the decision to push me to leave a very odd one, considering I regularly spend money there. I usually love to support smaller businesses, but this once just isn’t worth it guys, when Costa/Starbucks etc will gladly have students. If she’d ask politely if maybe I was ready to order something, I would have, or to take my laptop off charge etc. Kindness really is everything, but as you can see from other reviews of this cafe and the nearby deli shop, these guys haven’t figured that out yet.

No friendly greeting when you enter, the staff were too busy chatting to each other, they waited until we had removed our hats, coats and gloves before they told us they were no longer serving hot food, just cake, cold sausage rolls or cold quiche....

On walking into the deli it’s pretty nice on the eyes as there are plenty of nice looking things to buy, however that’s about as far as it goes for positives, I bought a small chicken samosa, an oat milk latte and a “New Yorker”...

2 thick sliced sandwiches nothing fancy but £7.50 each !!! Totally shocked at the amount charged would not recommend especially after seeing other reviews

We always come here to get some cheese, meat, olives etc for our evening snack. The sausage rolls are also absolutely amazing.

Expensive coffee and uncovered expensive cakes, why insist on masks when all the food is open to the air? Also need air conditioning because windows have steam running down into shop. Unfriendly staff. Won’t be going back.
