A change from Botany Bay, tv, music, relaxed and friendly. A smaller venue, comfy and warm on a cold night. Just a stop for a glass of wine, will return for food or quiz.

The food and hospitality at this venue is outstanding. The only bad issue for us is that we don’t live close enough. Otherwise, we would come here more often. The pub itself is very friendly in a way a local pub should be. Welcoming as soon as you are in the door. The Thai food restaurant attached is in a small room. Not that many tables but that gives an intimate and cosy atmosphere. Now the food was excellent value for money in fact better than that especially in the way it’s served

Tasty chicken Penang with rice and prawn crackers washed down with a pint of Neck Oil. Excellent.

Friendly local. The Thai food from Yamma Thai Kitchen is excellent. Limited range of beers although Neck Oil is a great option. Street parking only.

Ordered a Corona which was £5. I have a habit of leaning back my chair and was shouted at twice by the woman at the bar for it and told to sit on the bench like a child and it seemed like I had no choice in the matter. Might have been the better thing to do but there are also better ways of asking someone to do that.

The Thai food in this lovely pub is above and beyond. The chicken green curry and the chilli aubergine curry that my wife and I had were simply delicious. Having tried many Thai restaurants for years, this gem of a restaurant boasts stunning flavours and a feeling of being transported to food heaven.

I can’t talk about the food because I didn’t eat anything. I just drank a coke. The lady behind bar was so lovely, she seemed genuinely happy to see me I felt like a celebrity. She was extremely nice and welcoming. She made my experience superb.

Lovely pub, welcoming and the prices are very reasonable - friendly staff. Some Poor reviews on here that don’t match my experience - don’t be put off. Food available too - that’s always a very personal preference So I’d prefer not to comment.

The worst pub I have ever been. The woman who served the drinks yelled at us. The pub was full, we stopped to have a few beers and eat something we came from London; my uncle and my husband went to find a table and my 10 year old daughter, my friend and I went to the bathroom and the woman who was in bar went to the toilet to yell at us that it was her bathroom and I told her that we are going to consume, but she yelled hysterically that she would buy first and then we could go to the bathroom. She honestly could have told us that in a good manner, after she yelled at us I had no desire for anything, she is a woman who should not attend a business like this, because she is racist and rude. We will never go back there.

The Thai food is insane. Absolutely delicious. Best I've had in a very long time

Firstly the Yama Thai Kitchen (YTK) which is shown on Google just a few yards from this pub is not the correct location as Google has it wrongly located. YTK is actually part of this pub. Secondly, the staff here have been excellent and guided us to the correct place. Once we got there, we ordered the Thai dishes. We were expecting normal Thai cuisine but to our amazement this was a totally authentic cuisine. The chef should be a MasterChef! The dishes she prepared were so delicious literally had to lick the plates 😂 hospitable people too! I would recommend anyone visiting Botany Bay not to miss this out. The wait for the food and the price are indeed worth it. Being a Londoner, I haven't tasted Thai good so delicious. We were a crowd of 10 people and all had the same experience. Place visited on Friday, 3rd June 2022 ( Queen's Jubilee 🇬🇧)

This pub was a lovely little find. The landlady was so friendly and welcoming. My partner said the ale was fab and the drinks were flowing as the landlady was on the ball when our glasses were almost empty They have recently franchised out their kitchen to a Thai chef and although at the moment the menu is a little limiting the food on offer is exceptional. We were on holiday for a week and went there twice. All the dishes we ate were substantial and delicious. Would highly recommend a visit. It has an outside area and dogs are extremely welcome.

My friends night was ruined here by a local and they wouldn’t do anything

We visited om Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately no food was available and but the lady was quite helpful

Expensive pints, around £5 for one. Great tranquil neighbourly vibe and live sports more than make up for it.

New management has much improved this pub. Currently no food is being served as far as I can see

The double gin and tonic was great but priceyyy. I mean obviously not having another pub around helps to maintain the price but still, Central London prices So if I'm in the area and there were two pubs i wouldn't go to this one for that specific reason. A bit cheeky

Was working as key workers in percy Road, a female colleague went in and politely asked to use their toilets but was refused even when a customer offered to buy her a soft drink to make her a customer, the woman bar staff who refused her was probably clapping her on a Thursday night not long ago, there's no chance of any of my money ever going into their till!

Dropped into this place for a casual dinner and drinks. The staff were really friendly and service wonderful. The neapolitan style pizza was the best we've had in Kent! Lovely thin crispy crust, simple tomato sauce and toppings. Can really tell that the staff have sourced quality ingredients. Food was excellent value. Would recommend getting a dessert pizza to share. We left feeling very full and happy.

We came across this dog friendly pub whilst on a walk. The landlady was very welcoming and friendly. The decor is old fashioned but quant. They sell delicious pizzas at a reasonable price. The drinks were a tad expensive but we found this was the case in this area. We would definitely return if in the area.

Stopped to have a pint whilst waiting for a friend to get home and was very Happy that he took his time x Great little stop that sent me on a bit of a nostalgia kick. Sat at the bar with a very nice pint looking at bottles of Holsten Pils (not seen that for a while x) whilst eating a packet of beef Monster Munch. Didn't get to try the pizza they do but will get round to it next time I'm up that way x

We had a lovely time at the 19th Hole recently. We enjoyed the pizza by The Pizza Brothers with a drink or two! Such a lovely pub, with a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for couples or families. The landlady, Dora, is so friendly :)

Great place to have a drink after a day on the beach! Wasn't overcrowded and there is a nice and pleasant atmosphere inside. Though they weren't serving food!

We used to visit the pub at least once a week, then the management changed and it became so noisy you could not hear yourself talk with friends which is one of the reasons you visit. We visited last night and WOW what a change, the place was spotless lots of people enjoying themselves Dora was welcoming everybody what a turn around, as we are local we will be visiting a lot more. Looking forward to some food arriving soon. Good luck Dora you have nailed it.

Had my brother in laws 40th party here, and could not have asked for more. Fantastic land lady, who organised the pub and arranged fish and chips for everyone. Not many pubs left now with this sort of welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

Not crowded like Botany Bay hotel on a hot day and pleasant seating area.

This place used to have a warm and welcoming landlord / landlady, sadly this is no longer the case.

Only pub I know in the area with a dartboard and a pool table. Nice place for a beer and chat.

I visited recently and I have to say that this venue has dramatically changed, Dora has transformed the pub into a family friendly establishment, she was very welcoming and the addition of Vicky has only cemented the transformation of this local watering hole.

Visited pub by chance whilst on holiday and had a very pleasant evening watching Champions League football, chatting to the bar staff and locals and enjoying their friendly banter. We were made very welcome and would recommend to anyone staying locally to pop in for a drink.

I believe it is under new management this year. Looks inviting and we pass it on a regular basis but never been inside.

Me and my wife wanted to pop out for a drink on a Sunday evening. We very rarely have some quality time together with work and family commitments but try to take what time we can to indulge in a little treat. Tonight's location happened to be the pub that's within walking distance from our house (if you dont mind a 10 minute walk that is). So we arrived to see a lovely place all filled with festive decorations and seemed very inviting. The warm invitation stopped there. The 6 or so people crowding the very small bar area where not keen to move so I could approach to speak to the bar staff and order a drink instead looking at me like I was a extra on a sci-fi movie. When we finally did get to order the "locals" where playing pool quite happily swearing even tho at this point there was a child who I guess lived there running around.

Friendly welcome,decent well kept hand pulled IPA.TV and Radio broadcasting music simultaneously creating noisy atmosphere that no one seemed to be enjoying.Pub no longer provides food which is a bit disappointing.

I popped in here a couple of weeks back and had a lovely chat and a pint with two local guys, so I thought it would be safe to go back in with my partner. The sign on the pub says "Under New Management" and our visit started ok but there was the typical "estate family" drunk in the corner swearing loudly and making openly racist comments,. Then another one of the local idiots started throwing his toys out of his pram over a pool game, one might have expected it of a kid but the man was in his 50s. The staff seemed very nice but overwhelmed. It really makes me wonder why pubs allow this kind of behaviour, I'm sure these idiots put money into the till, but their aggression and entitlement issues make it impossible for other people to have a nice time. Personally I thought it was superfically entertaining and would have stayed for the inevitable car crash but when my partner started to feel intimidated it was time to go. Won't be returning unless maybe "Under New New Management".

Set lovely ground's this is a lovely place to stay, but l would say when booking upgrade to at least a signature room. The choice of food is excellent

A very locals pub. A number of noisy residents that must not have employment and rely on benefits or probably have their partners adopt special kids to top up their tax credits. Barmaid looks constantly stoned and food non existent. Such a great setting also but not utilised. Oh and £6 for a glass of wine is too much.

Popped in for a drink, the staff were friendly the the beer OK, but it was very quiet. Not much been done to it in quarter of a century. The charm of the old building is hidden under artex and foamy wallpaper. Suppose it's a locals pub.

No es a menudo que vaya al pub para ver un partido de fútbol, pero estaba visitando a unos amigos, uno de los cuales es un gran fan mutv y queríamos ver el partido con su hijo y otro amigo. Son asiduos aquí cuando mi amigo está de vuelta a casa. Sirven decente ale y el ambiente era bueno. Menú parecía bueno también, pero estábamos comiendo de regreso a casa.

Nuestros amigos locales, vinimos aquí con ellos el pasado fin de semana. La piscina para niños jugaron en el cuarto de la piscina, que pensaron que era fresco, mientras que los adultos bebían en el bar. Los clientes habituales y el personal nos hizo todo muy bienvenido. Un montón de deportes que figura en el 3 tv si te gusta ese tipo de cosas!

we had a lunch on sunday which was so bad, the chicken was called roast but it had never seen the inside of a cooker,plus it was still red around the bone, the batter pudding was still frozen inside,such a shame when the other eating places around them are so busy

El último minuto llamar para reservar para el almuerzo de domingo ... era espléndido, muy bien preparado y servido, suministro inicial opción interesante y una buena carne asada. Nos encantó. El servicio fue muy amable y el ambiente estupendo ... tan buena que hemos reservado para ir de nuevo la próxima semana a sólo tres semanas desde nuestra última visita!

Vueltas por aquí después de una visita a la playa y la izquierda casi inmediatamente! Era un viernes y los constructores locales su fraternidad descendió sobre el lugar así que definitivamente fuera de lugar!

No habíamos estado en el hoyo 19 por algún tiempo así que tenía curiosidad por ver si nada había cambiado. Bill, el propietario, nos dieron una cálida bienvenida. El menú es un poco limitado, pero había al menos dos entrantes y platos principales que me apetecía. El primer curso se suministra en un breve plazo de tiempo - mis amigos tenían el cóctel de gambas mientras yo tenía el salmón ahumado. Haití padece Boith eran excelentes. Los platos principales fueron lubina, carne y chuletas de cordero. Estaban acompañados por una selección de vegetales que estaban muy bien cocinados. Las patatas asadas era perfecto.

Lovely pub with excellent landlord but the food was very disappointing It was cooked really well but the size of the portions was very poor - so small that we had a cheese sandwich when got home as still hungry.The landlord Bill is very nice and would probably supplied extra roast potatoes(only 3 per plate!!) if asked but didn't want to embarrass guests.Shame as staff try really hard.

Called in this pub on the off chance as we wanted to watch a game of football, we were met by the best landlord I have ever come across and his staff were brilliant too.This is one of the most friendly pubs |I havew ever been in and we were made to feel so welcome by all , so thank you for that Mr Landlord and your beer is great too.

Food is very good, freshly sort from local producers. Bill the landlord is very hospitable and is always attentive to your needs. Not happy with your whole sea bass starting back at you, he's more than happy to dress it for you. Good selection of wine and beers.

Good home cooked food at this Pub, friendly staff and good service with very reasonable prices. We would definitely go back and enjoy further meals and its good to have a landlord that appreciates his customers and makes them feel welcome..

I hosted a St Georges Night dinner at the pub and as it was my first dinner evening there I was making sure that everything went smoothly. The food was excellent. It was hot, well presented and there wasn't a shortage of it. All 30 people went home full. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We also raised over £200 for charity. I will be hosting future charity events at the Nineteenth Hole. Thank you to everyone who helped make the night a success.

We heard the food here was very good however it is absolutely rubbish now. We say now as we heard from a local that the usual chef had left.shame. if what we heard was true we feel sure we would gave enjoyed our meal as it turned out it was one of worst we have had for many years. The landlord is not a very nice person to say the least. Keep away is our advice.

A retreat a short walk from the Botany Bay Hotel. Sunday roast was fantastic the landlord was so friendly and helpful. I would love a local just like this one.
