Attended last night for the (non-England) football semi-final with some family from overseas. Gave them a true British pub experience and was such a nice evening I feel obliged to write a review. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good standard of food for pub fare. Also, friendly clientele. So important for a nice pub atmosphere and unusual to find that “local” experience in London. Favourite pub in the area. We’ve been several times and will keep going.

We visited for an early dinner one evening. A very friendly welcome awaited us. The menu looked interesting - a good selection for non meat eaters in particular. However we were very disappointed that the first three things we asked for (all non meat) weren’t available. We got an apology but no “let’s see what we can do for you”. So in the end we had an OK meal made up of food that we didn’t really want and wouldn’t have picked. It wasn’t bad - just hard to be enthusiastic about food that you’re having because it’s all there is.

Had Sunday lunch for 4 people, at 2pm. Was expecting great food, but our Sunday roasts were disappointing, as if the food had been kept warm for far too long. We had good experience of the Nightingale a year ago. I would go there again, but be careful over food order. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll done folks.

This pub was absolutely delightful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There was a wide selection of drinks both alcoholic and non, the food menu was expansive and utterly delicious. I really don’t have a bad word to say about this fabulous pub, the highlight of my trip to London, defo recommend to a friend and will be visiting again !!!

This was my first visit, and my last. I was attending a friend’s 60th birthday. A very civilised affair - about 16 of us. A Monday, when otherwise the pub would have been empty. The landlord / manager sat by his laptop the whole time. No interaction until he told us to get out at 11.00pm: “you’re stopping the staff going home”. We still had 20 minutes to drink up. We left on time and willingly. Never again.

Five stars. Great little doggie friendly pub hidden away. Highly recommend. Fab birthday lunch. Lovely food and team. Will be back. Thank you.

We visit this pub often as we really like the atmosphere and drinks. Cosy in the winter and nice outdoor space in the warmer months. However, unfortunately we were really disappointed by the roast we had here recently. We waited almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive. This would have been fine if it tasted good when it arrived, as we appreciate that pubs are busy on a Sunday afternoon. The beef was really overcooked and chewy. The gravy was like jelly and overly salty. The cauliflower cheese was so dry that we had to leave it. Our waitress was really friendly and took our orders straight away, but didn’t check in to see if everything was ok. We really hope the food improves so that we can eat here in the future.

We like the Nightingale. It is a friendly and welcoming pub which serves good food and a good selection of beers. Normally we have no complaints but last night we had the strange experience of having two guests being served their food and the other two having to wait for 30 minutes which led to a very disjointed evening. The server was very apologetic, “the order hadn’t been processed” but it spoilt what would otherwise have been a pleasant evening. I assume this was an isolated error.

For a couple of regular visiting Aussies to the UK staying just around the corner, this is a lovely 'local' with a friendly atmosphere and what we feel has a genuine British pub feeling. Love table 3 beside the fire place. We will always pop in for a pint and a bite when in town.

The food was delicious from Sunday roasts to burgers. The portions were very substantial and all of our party of 7 enjoyed their food. The service as ever in the Nightingale, was great as was the atmosphere. The purpose of our meal was an early family Christmas dinner. We took crackers and games and were not rushed from our table despite being a 2 hour booking slot. A lovely time was had by all.

We held our family pre-Christmas lunch here. As there was 12 in our group we pre-ordered our meals. Everything worked our perfectly for us. Great food and service in a nice pub atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit.

Our dinner out at the Nightingale was in incredible! We were travelling to London from Canada and I made a reservation because I had a feeling the food would be great. It was a little ways away from where we were staying, but it was well worth the trip. The pub was the quintessential beautiful, cozy English pub. We split a Scotch Egg (tasty!), my husband had the Fisherman's pie, and I had the Cumberland sausages with mashed potatoes and a rich gravy. We loved every bite! This is the kind of place you want to curl up in on an rainy London day. I can only imagine how festive it is around the Christmas holidays! If we lived in the neighborhood, we would go all the time. Thank you Nightingale!!

I held a function at the Nightingale and they were great. Very easy to communicate with, very experienced and great attention to detail. We had the garden and conservatory as a private space and it worked really, really well. It was quiet and tucked away and the staff on the day were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

This is as close as you’ll get to a traditional pub in this part of south west London. Others (no names, no packdrill) can’t keep their beer properly, charge the earth for it, or both. However, although the beer is always in good shape at the Nightingale in my experience, the food offer is pretty ordinary and not cheap. The fish and chips that my friend and I ordered were dry and at the portion size could not be described as generous for the price. On the plus side, the staff are pleasant. I’ll be back, but maybe not to eat.

The atmosphere was thinking time have a conversation,service was also very good. Food was great as usual. The full Sunday roast was delicious and a lot of it. The chicken burger was amazing the taste was delicious and at the same comforting food. If you have had a busy day. Love the the place. Keep up the great work!

First visit, and for Sunday Roast! Made very welcoming, and sat in the area between the inside of the pub, and the outside area. Perfect. Beer and cider, both on tap, were excellent. Lunch very tasty, and large, but somehow managed to get through it!
