Decided to pop into Newton Arms for a quick drink on the drive home from running errands, and I was thoroughly impressed. I've never been here previously, but the service was spot on, and there's no better beer garden anywhere in Blackpool. A real hidden gem. Will definitely be returning for a family meal at some point to try the food.

Ordered a ceaser salad with chicken and halloumi, house sharer and a few other starters. Halil on the bar put through our order asked if we had any allergies and read our order back to us to ensure everything was correct. We also had some drinks that were made by Giorgio and Ciaran all three boys were polite and well mannered would definitely come again

first... after arriving an hour and a half late, food was overcooked and not the best quality, server was rude making sarcastic comments and making less noticeable jokes to the child with down syndrome sat across from us, bathrooms were unclean and smelt aswell as tables not being properly wiped down. second when speaking to a member of staff who brought meal sides 15 minutes after the meals, we were offered a complimentary drink which was never brought to the table. we will not be returning to the restaurant and will not be recommending to others.

Table 32- ordered the Short rib for a change and WOW…. Perfectly cooked, also has the tandoori chicken skewers and again cooked to perfection. Good service amazing as always standing joke (the A team are on) But as a whole no complaints at all.

Great food and attentive service

Excellent awareness of allergy issues, was provided separate cutlery. Food was cooked as requested - Andrew our server was very pleasant and helpful. The young barmen was very friendly and competent - dog friendly as well allowing us to include our ‘family’ for a Sunday snack. The only downside was 2nd week running no real ale on hand pump and no ribs as on menu.

Previously we didnt have a great experience. This time we had fabulous food and cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly and great to talk to. Good atmosphere.

Haven't been for 8 months and decided to go and give it a try.. again. It was amazing. Food was amazing, my husband had the steak... medium rare and it was perfect. We will definitely start going again. We gave our compliments to the chef and I have got to say the staff were brilliant. Thank you again.

It's been a while since we were last here. It started going down hill a bit but after reading recent reviews thought we'd give it a try. What a lovely surprise, nice and clean imside. We ordered food which have to say was a huge improvement on our last visit. My say chose the beef short ribs with char grilled veg and skin on fries, delicious! I had a plain old classic burger nit expecting much but also extremely good tasting burger with nice fresh salad on the bun as I like it. My mum picked the mixed grill but chose to have it wrll done... not too sure what that was going to look like, but it even looked appetising to me... even though I like my steak etc. rare! So glad we did try it and will definitely be back!

A really good basic pub. We visited just after the Euro Final and they’d clearly been rammed the night before. Regardless, the service was really friendly, they were cleaning really hard and the food was tasty, hot and good value. It’s not the World’s most gourmet pub but they don’t claim to be. Good food, good drinks, great staff and good value.

Food was a long time in waiting came out at different times. Two had finished there food by the time the last dish came out. 5 people eating. All fried food not hard to get the timing right. Burger chips, cheessy chips etc. Simple food yet it came out at different times. Burger was low quality. I wouldn't eat there again personally.

We’ve visited this pub quite a few times and it’s always been a good experience. The food is very good and the service is excellent. Shout out to Matthew who has served us a few times. Yesterday he went above and beyond when he saw I was using a walking stick. He took our drinks to our table to save me a struggle. He’s very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Good old fashioned service with a smile . Thank you Matthew 🤩

Turned up at 6.50pm to be told it would be an hour before someone could take our order. We spoke to 2 members of staff, who seemed surprised we'd booked a table online. The 3rd person knew about our booking. We went to an excellent Chinese takeaway opposite instead.

I've got a £170 parking fine for being a paying customer of this pub, I would suggest avoiding. Because they have an issue with non paying traveller using there car park, they are now trying to charge paying customers 170 quid if they forget to enter there registration on entry. Maybe someone could of reminded me to so so when I first went to the bar..

Lovely attentive staff, only had drinks but servers were friendly especially Rob, saw some dishes coming out that looked tasty will definitely try food next time

Food wasn't great. Look at the state of the spicy chicken nachos. Virtually no cheese, the chicken was over cooked. Over priced for below average food. Macaroni cheese was over cooked. Last went about 5 years ago and the food was much better then.

My partner.has a food allergy for ginger so she always checks the munu for what she can't have. On this occasion she had noticed the salad a ginger sauce and avoided it for the ceaser salad instead as she assumed that she would be ok. Up ordering I informed the staff as they ask when you order food. But due to new staff and training being an online assessment things were lost in translation to the kitchen. Apparently the ceaser sauce contains ginger. So how was it dealt with. The chef came to the table for a food appraisal. Nothing mentioned about the alligy. Then the manager rushed over before my partner had barely a fork of her food. Took it away apologising for the confusion and mixed up. Offered a refund and replacement meals for my partner. Offered a free dessert or pint. The manger couldn't be more appeasing. Happy with the result. Food was hot served quickly and the staff are well mannered and professional..

It’s changed management lately and it’s amazing

Easily one of the best pubs in the area. They’ve not long since had a new menu, I went for the tandoori skewers which were spot on. They have the sports on too so can’t go wrong!

The staff were fantastic and attentive, friendly and professional. The atmosphere was great with a lot of after work folk coming in for a pint and bite to eat. We did order just after 20.00 and the food staff let the order through, this may have been why my Mixed Grill was really quite awful, it was the meat cuts, steak was just gristle, the chicken I simply couldn't eat, I literally couldn't cut through it. This said both my friends meals were according to them pretty good, likely I was unlucky, at the end of a shift, and the kitchen did the best with what they had.

Could be higher if the pudding was there but highly recommended 👌

Ordered the chick and mix sharer, we were presented with overcooked Iceland chicken pieces and less than what was on menu. Sent it back to the kitchen....it was sent back to me with spring onions on top. Told the waiter it was cold he replied with "what do you expect, you've had 20 mins, basically confirming that they've just tipped it into a bowl. Avoid at all costs

Terrible a two hour wait between the first and last meal appearance most of the family had eaten when others were still awaiting their meal ,got orders wrong.some food was cold some over cooked and well done stake served rare.half the menu wasn't available and had to re order food not told at the bar only an hour later when they started serving are party.

The food was disgusting and the service was terrible it took over 2 hours for the food to be served And food that was at the top of the list came last and food at the bottom of the list also came last.some of the staff were rude.children had eaten the food before the adults had got theirs . Me & a few friends came in for lunch after hearing of a new menu. Safe to say we weren’t disappointed! We were spoilt for choice & decided to get a mixture of mains & sides, all of which were under £10!! Fantastic value for money! I had food at hickory’s a few weeks ago and the burger here was no worse for 1/3 of the price! Having been here a few time this was definitely a step up in quality since previous visits - we will be back!

There must be a new chef in town because the food was next level. Fresh tasty food at a great price. We shall we coming back again. The chicken wraps with tzatziki fresh herbs and tomato slapped! Mamma mia. Nice to see someone providing a solid chip aswell. 🤌🏻🤌🏻

The newton arms is a good place to go to meet friends and have some drinks. The food is always good whenever I ordered and all the staff are super welcoming.

Table of 6 adults and 4 kids No Salmon, no pork belly, no chicken strips, no garlic bread, no nachos,…. 45 min wait on food, and then a further 30 min between the first main course and the last main course, ended up getting a refund on two of the main courses. The guy serving us was fighting a loosing battle This wasn’t a busy Saturday, this was a Tuesday tea time, the pub wasn’t even busy. No manager available (off sick apparently) I will never step foot in the Newton arms Again, it’s an absolute shambles. Mitchell and butlers need to get a relief manager in while the Manager is off sick as the place is falling apart

It's been a few years since I last visited this pub. My wife and I along with a family friend used to go on a Sunday evening for a main meal. On the majority of occasions we were mostly satisfied, especially myself opting for the Mixed Grill sizzler, on most occasions. I decided to visit a couple of weeks ago parking in the main car park, went to order at the bar, only to be told that I had to scan the table to order and without a table number wouldn't be able to order at the bar. I explained that being 85 years of age, I didn't know how to do this. A member of staff then took me to a table and then told the barman that the table would be number 24. I ordered fish and chips, then was told none was available, (this at 4;30 pm) so opted for chilli and rice, which came in due course. So far, a little disappointing experience. A lot worse was to follow. About a week later, through the post I received a £100 fine for parking illegally in the Newton Arms car park, a very expensive Chilli Con Carni, indeed.

Called here for a late lunch. Although the car park was fairly full, the pub itself was quiet. To get free parking you register your car at the bar. It's a decent sized pub, friendly staff. Plenty room for pushchairs /wheelchairs. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. The portions are quite generous as well. Yay! They're not skinny with the chips! For three meals, a pint of beer, and a large coke it came to £37. There were cheaper options, but we ordered from the regular pub grub. My son had a wrap with chips. Hubby had a whopping big burger with chips, and I had Chinese style pork belly on a sizzling skillet of veg and chips. We would certainly eat here again.

Our first and second choice were not available on the menu, despite it being early evening on a Saturday and not very busy. We eventually ordered the surf and turf; but the steak was very tough. We couldn't eat it, so took it home for the dogs at home, who loved it.

This is our local, but we'd not eaten here for a while. Had the steak with Diane sauce tonight and my partner had the chicken stack burger. Food was excellent. I've had steaks in Wetherspoons and this was far superior. Whether it's a quick bite you want or a family meal, look no further, Sarah and the team will look after you! Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
