Solid pub, enough space and quick service

Great pub, part of the Stonegate chain. Usual small but high-quality food menu. Good selection of drinks along the bar, including 3 real ales, one being Bass 🔺️, which was our reason for going in the first place, 3 weeks ago. We've been in at least once a week since then, and will be continuing to visit.

Excellent food and a great pint as always. There is always a good atmosphere in The Bull and prompt service from the staff. Georgia went above and beyond to help out with an issue I had and resolved it quickly. I will be back.

Fantastic Saturday night at the bull. The place was packed, all walks of life came together did karaoke and raised money for a child's hospice called brians House. The owners Alan and Louise were very welcoming and their team were lovely. Will definitely return.

This is a very friendly pub. The staff go above and beyond to help us. My Husband and his friend are disabled and Louise and Clare always bring their drinks to the table. Always a great atmosphere and we are always made to feel welcome by Alan, the Landlord. Nothing is too much trouble for Alan, Louise or Clare. It's just good to go to the Bull and know we will be treated in a friendly manner and feel they all care.

Alex served me and everything was wonderful. Top notch service from Alex 👍🏼

The best part about this pub is the staff, I go in at night and they are so helpful, attentive. friendly and creat the atmosphere, they deserve every credit !

I I frequently visit the Bull and on every occasion Alex is a super bartender and makes every visit a joy. The food and service is the best is poulton

I love coming in the bull for a wind down after work. Georgia is my favourite barmaid she always brightens up my day , serving with a smile of course! Thanks to the bull team for always accommodating :)

Nice friendly place ...door staff very friendly , food was very good, and dog friendly as i could see. one certain male bartender, kept throwing bottles, etc, into the skip very hard,doing his best I suspect to smash them, which in turn was very loud, and startling if you wasn't expecting it. Perhaps he gets a kick out of it, his mother mustn't have bought him a rattle as a child!!. I will return to the pub again, and bring ear plugs lol..

Great venue for watching the ⚽️ on the many screens in this bar - beers are on the traditional side from macro breweries. The London Pride was bob on and the friendly service was exemplary.

Enjoyed a meal and a couple of drinks, nice and quick service, pub very lively at the time.

Very friendly, efficient staff. Live sports, real ale. CAMRA discount. Beer garden. Dog friendly if that's your thing. Good drinking establishment.

We had a fantastic breakfast yesterday. Great value for money, and excellent staff.

Had a great time watching the football last night with an equally good meal.Alex on the bar was very helpful when we were deciding what to drink.All round good night with a good atmosphere.

Great service and enjoyed the food .Didn't enjoy the DJ I know it was for charity so I believe from one of the staff ,but without sounding mean it was too loud we moved further away but still quite loud

Had a great visit, fantastic service by Matthew and Alex. Didn't eat this time but will come again.

Foolishly booked a table for just after a big football game. Place was a riot. TVs were blaring at 500 decibels for a good half an hour after the match had finished, presumably the staff were all running around trying to tidy up the millions of used glasses and didn't have a spare second to think. I ordered the lasagne, which was a poor choice. It was worse than getting one from a wetherspoons - small, microwaved, with a couple of slices of garlic bread and a salad that was a couple of days from fresh

I don’t usually eat in The Bull but I decided to have a burger and I was not disappointed probably the best burger I’ve had for a while.. The staff have been great no complaints worth a try

The meal was excellent, the service by Louise was excellent. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good value meal in an excellent environment

I’ve been is this pub many times. On a recent visit all the tables were booked with no times displayed. So 5 of us just sat down at 1pm. Then just before a big rugby match started two hours later we were asked to move by a couple to enable them to sit a watch the game. This happened on at least a dozen other tables. Landlords you need to stop this or I for one definitely won’t be coming back

It's always a busy place as it has a decent menu and we just managed to get enough seats from various places in the pub to add to an empty table for the four of us. We didn't eat as we only made our way across from the other side of the town to be closer to the bus stop as our Sunday bus service finishes early. If we miss it, it's close on £30 for a taxi to take us across the river Wyre and home. Fast and friendly service at the bar. Lots of TVs around the wall showing various sports, which can be a bit restrictive for conversation between people in mixed groups. But there was overall a friendly atmosphere. Keep an eye open for the daily Special menu. Reduced prices on the menu option, but it's separate from the main menu so you may need to hunt one down off another table - or ask at the bar. We had the curry on a previous visit which worked out at very good value for money on the daily special.

Just returned from lunch at the bull poulton 27/12/23 What a lovely pub it is The food was awesome, and so was the staff, especially Claire and Katie, who went above and beyond the hospitality experience given to my party of 5 had We will be returning very soon

One of the best value breakfasts in Poulton. Good quality produce perfectly cooked and ridiculously cheap. Best of all is the service which is always friendly. It's also dog friendly and a great beer garden. Good menu outside of breakfast. A great alternative to Wetherspoons and for me a better quality option. Cheap parking which is refundable.

Nothing to shout about.Staff pleasant,service good,food typical of pub chain food so not the place for a special occasion but ok if you want a night off from cooking.Prices are stardard of chain food.

Very disappointed on the wall they had a team called notts forest well everyone knows that Nottingham forest is called Nottingham forest and it is an insult to Nottingham forest fans so I won't be going back

It obviously has its regulars but the choice of beers was poor.

Weekend special of 5 small dishes. Chicken wing, onion rings, cheesy chips etc. For £11. Plenty for 2 people. Bargain and very welcome in this day and age when eating out is becoming a luxury.

Very pleasant afternoon spent with friends in good conversation, enjoying a few drinks in the warm sunshine on the outside terrace.

Enjoyed a nice meal, nice atmosphere and the bar staff are very friendly and offer swift service.

Lovely Pub, Excellent Reasonably Priced Food , Friendly Staff, Dog Friendly, Great Beer Garden with plenty of seats and even has Pods to keep you snug outside. Our little dog was even given a Sausage Treat..how good is that. 5 ***** 😃👍

We held our father Lloyd Gilks's wake here on the 5th of May 2023. The welcome and care off Alan, Louise and everyone of the bar staff was outstanding. I have never seen such a quality buffet in all my life and nearly everyone at the wake said the same. Once again thank you so much. My dad would have been so proud of you all

Onl my last visit the pint I had ordered "Timothy Taylors - Landlord" had quite a bad flavour to it. I've had countless pints of this lager and this, which I'm sad to say was the worst one. I did wonder if they had put the wrong cask on the wrong handpump. Apart from that, the visit was fine. 3 stars for the bad pint, hopefully, on my next visit it will attain 5 stars.

Quiet early evening, nice pub. The only thing I didn't like was alot of people were at the back outside smoking and the smell of cigarette smoke wafted through the pub. Nice friendly staff.

Went in at Lunch-time with a friend, hasldnt been in for a few yrs. Had the Lasagna, was hot, and very tasty. With a serving of garlic bread. Well worth a visit. Will b going back..

Me and my wife wen't on Sunday 26 3 23 . Wanted sunday lunch but they do not do them . We had 10 Oz smothered rump and 10 Oz gammon steak . And 2x cookie apple . What can I say .just amazing food .good pub .we always go when we are in poulton . Regards Andy

Just had the most delicious Christmas meal. Home cooked, hot, lashings of gravy. Even home made apple and cranberry sauces. Dressed tables, crackers and friendly staff. Highly recommended and very well priced.
