Great food great beer prices and soft drinks and snacks 100 perfect recommend Extremely helpful staff

Staff are rude. Beer lines need a proper clean. Place stinks. Would recommend trying other sports bars in the area first unless you are really desperate to be disappointed.

The Philly has dedicated staff and provides excellent children's entertainment with Vicky and a guy from the midlands. There is a wide variety of singers, including the excellent Anthony Oliver. The food is much better than a couple of reviews suggest and the bar also caters well for away fans on matchdays.

As a family of 3 visiting (son 15) we went straight upstairs to the sports bar area. There is a pool table, snooker table, darts for over 16 and a fussball table. There are multiple TV screens and it was a football match on show the night we were there. Ladies toilets out of order upstairs meaning I had to go downstairs and through a sea of seats, tables and children to get to the loo, downstairs had a singer /entertainer on and the place definitely looked to cater to younger kids with games like musical statues. Way too noisy and busy for our family. No bar snacks available upstairs and again you would of had to of went downstairs for that. We had a few games of pool then sat and watched end of football with a few drinks. Was a much more relaxed than downstairs. Place closes for 10.45.

Reasonable priced drinks and great staff!!

I hired the upstairs venue room for a party in early July, and had a great experience. I cannot fault the staff who were extremely helpful from my initial reservation to the night itself. My guests felt very well looked after, and the atmosphere was excellent.

Entertainment very good,good bar,food is good value for money bar is clean,, only issue coke users in toilets it’s not the first time but I don’t like my children witnessing people taking coke in family entertainment bar this happens in mens and ladies shame really because cracking venue and amazing location just that more needs to be done even regular toilets checks oh and 75% spirits advertised in the family bar we will be back again but we won’t allow our children in toilets on there own,, as I say amazing venue and staff run a good bar service

Popped in here with friends and my little un after seeing the sign outside saying they had sunday afternoon karaoke. The bar staff were great and the drinks weren't overpriced with 3 pints of Madrid and an oreo milkshake coming to £19.80. Had only intended on popping in but had such a good time we all stayed till the karaoke was over. Dj lennon who was running it was great and we had a right laugh, was so good to find that kids were actually welcome and my daughter was in her element showing off her singing to everyone. We will 100% be back next time we are up that way and recommend anyone looking for somewhere to hear for food, drinks and entertainment for the family to check this place out. And the karaoke has a £20 quid beer voucher to be won ha ha always a nice sweetener to encourage folks to join in 😆.

Brilliant night last night for my cousins 21st at the The New Philly last night. Honestly feel like this is blackpools best kept secret. Venue hire is absolutely FREE! No hidden charges needing to spend so much behind a bar etc! The room is absolutely stunning too 😍 roll on our next party 💖

Had food here first night which was nice for decent price. We stayed for the family entertainment which was enough to make us want to come back the following night. Kids had a brilliant night, friendly atmosphere. I even won guess the intro 💪 Special mention to Vicky for keeping us all entertained. Lots of love from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Was down working over the weekend found the bar by chance they even showed a low key scottish football game for me food and drink reasonable staff where really friendly went back on Sunday still remembered I drank coors thanks paul

Came for drinks and karaoke on Sunday . DJ Lennon was fab and if u like karaoke the sound system is fab to sing on . My partner lost his “karaoke virginity “ 😂 and got up and actually sang a song . Was a fun afternoon and the staff were lovely . Can’t wait to be in Blackpool again for a repeat afternoon 😊

There are no words to describe how bad the service is here. We were a large group, with kids who contacted the venue in advance to pre-order food but were told it wasn't necessary as we could be accommodated and still managed to run out of pizzas! Some of our group waited 2+hours for food, some just gave up and left. If you asked staff for an update on your order they were aggressive and rude. When directed to the owner (which we were on numerous occassions) he simply shrugged and said he couldn't do anything. Truly appalling service.

People waiting here for an hour and didn't get their food. They ran out of pizza and Fanta so people had to change their orders.The darts were pretty good but if your looking for a meal DO NOT come here.

Never again to be accused of the things I was when walk in the bar I wouldn't want to be repeat let alone what was said outside the premises by the owner , avoid at all costs. Just a update the owner Nick Pritchard don't take complaints to well , as he thinks what I did was wrong but I still disagree as might of been drunk but not stupid, just read about what someone said about his bar staff before taken your child there .

Fantastic and staff could so pleasant and friendly

Me and my friend visited this establishment on Sunday, whilst searching for a sports bar to watch the football in. The venue is around three or four rooms, with most of these situated on the ground floor, with the sports bar area located upstairs. Firstly, the sports bar might have been the coldest venue I've eaten in, at least from what i can recall anyway - granted, the weather was poor on Sunday, but there was little if any heating, and I was shivering whilst eating my food, which, isn't ideal, is it. I felt as if i was dining out on the North Pier, and had to keep my coat on throughout. The food itself was very poor - the Nachos were probably the worst I've ever had, which was disappointing; the burger and chips were cold, and there was no tray to take the food upstairs from the catering area (they use a buzzer to notify you that your food is ready) so it was a real balancing act trying to make it back up to the sports bar, without losing half of your dinner on the stairwell. One saving grace from our visit were the staff - the server downstairs who took our food order was friendly, and the blonde lady who served us within the sports bar was great, she even waived a deposit for the darts we asked to use, which was nice of her. A frustrating visit all in all - had the food been better and the venue warmer, we would of probably given it a 7/10, but we can't say our experience warrants any better than a 4, given the circumstances.

Rude staff , and I was bullied by them. I ordered the breakfast and when I asked for a refund because it made me feel sick they just laughed in my face and told me they wasn’t going too. They also seemed to make fun of me because of my hearing problems and also made me feel unwelcome. I’m 75 years old and get quite anxious when out alone.

Can't rate food as never ate here. But lovely family friendly pub, we visited the sports bar upstairs as my 12 year old wanted to watch the football , he loved the place and the sport decor he was amazed by, sighed shirts and pictures, pool tables , football tables. And just a calm atmosphere.

Bar staff need some training on manors!! This is a nice place but unfortunately some staff are very ignorant. I usually take glasses back but comments from bar when ordering they can do it themselves.

Popped in as kids need toilets too be fair so grabbed a drink each and sat down after clearing table and wiping it down 🙄 girls singing really good and funny to bless her. Menu looked good and seen food served looked pukka too so 👍🏼

Avoid at all costs, toilets are disgusting, the staff are toxic as anything and have the worst attitude, I wanted to leave as soon as I got there. We went as a family of 6, 2 kids and 4 adults. The only reason we didn’t leave is because we thought it would turn out to be okay. The manager Charlotte was the worst, ordered a round of cokes and she asked why we wasn’t ordering alcohol or food and when we told her our reason she gave us a dirty look and said it was a waste of time us being there. To make matters worse, we payed £25 in cash for the cokes and was only given £7 change…. It’s not £18 for 6 cokes. When I confronted her about this she said it was correct and to not question it anymore. We drank our drinks and left. I couldn’t wait to leave, this place is disgusting

Good if you are looking for a pint with children as they have entertainment on for children until late. Probably not the smartest of pubs but serves a good purpose. Ideal for live sport too.

Really family friendly place. Me, my wife and daughter felt very welcome from start to finish. Staff were brilliant.

Not great for eating here but does have entertainment singers on. Is near central pier and some other bars near by so choices are good around this area.

The worst experience ever ordered food at bar was given a pager to tell me when food would be ready had to get own cutlery and condiments when pager went off collected food from bar I had steak pie which you would need a chisel to cut the steak pieces soggy puff pastry and frozen chips that were still hard and cold in the centre,my partner had scampi which was overdone when barman came to lift our plates we were asked if it was alright I said no it was terrible he smiled and walked away will never be back in this place

Entertainment is good for kids, prices are quite reasonable. The food is limited but perfectly fine for this type of place. All in all worth a visit for a night.

Family friendly pub of decent size. Entertainment we saw was pretty good but the food was shocking. ( and I’m by no means any connoisseur - I’ll eat anything usually) Not sure who allows food of such poor quality to go out from the kitchen but it would certainly test my moral compass if I worked there. Drinks were fine and there’s plenty of activities and arcade type machines to keep the children occupied. Good for sports coverage.

Beer was nice but the food was terrible never had food like that, will never eat there again, it was inedible, had to go to another restaurant and pay again.

Popped in for dinner last week whilst on holiday with the girlfriend , decent beer , very friendly staff & the food is top notch , we each had a burger very affordable & tasty only gripe were the onion rings were a little overdone but other than that we'll definitely be back

Terrific place to take the kids with live entertainment and quality food. Only thing I would say is if you were able to contact them before going to confirm a table would be helpful!

We were made to feel welcome ,the food was excellent ,dog friendly children friendly ,the staff are helpful ,we enjoyed our first visit that much that we had breakfast and lunch there the next day,if you're on a break or on holidays good pubs to this standard,make your holiday that much better

Got a bad pint of john smiths.took it back they would not change it so I said I'm not drinking it.this was on Monday.this also happened last year as well so we won't be going back in there

Top bar staff brilliant establishment for kids slorts bar upstairs and a nice little snug civered all area, s something for every walk of life you must visit when you come to Blackpool.

Good friendly atmosphere entertainment had singers on drinks reasonable priced toilets clean and located near the tower.

Staff were nice , door staff were nice but we went for new years eve and it was so crammed they put 11 of us on a small table the dance floor was covered with tables so no room to dance! Considering it's a family bar 80% of the customers were taking drugs. I will not be going back shame really as I said staff were lovely

Went for New Years Eve with the family. Had a brilliant night, staff were lovely and friendly and the bar prices were reasonable. 3 entertainers on throughout the evening and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Went in to watch Liverpool v Rangers a absolutely horrible experience. Staff wanted to know if you were drinking and would the kids be buying soft drinks.Place was freezing no heating on and manners to customers was abysmal. Wouldnae go back if ye paid me.

Best family bar in Blackpool.we arrived to a friendly welcome from staff. Had great meals from a good menu.The food was excellent. Came back later in the evening to excellent family entertainment that kept the kid well entertained plus they even had a good Toy shop so the kids loved it. Will definitely be back again

Great family bar brilliant entertainment for the kids and a really good sports bar upstairs for adults to play pool , darts and watch the sport. I saw a review stating it can't be a family bar as he couldn't play pool with his 16 yr old son. That would be because the pool table is in the ADULT sports bar not the family bar. Downstairs for families and kids , upstairs for adults without kids something for everyone.

We went to Blackpool for a few days with the children aged 8 and 10 and we went into this bar and what a welcome the staff were entertainment for us and the children was fantastic would definitely recommend this bar for families

We came here last night 10/8/22 me and my 2 children. Got recommended by a friend that has been before. Was quite a walk to the bar from south pier where we was staying but we really didn't mind. Kids running wild and care free enjoying themselves which I like to see not many places/bars allow this. So my 2 were certainly in their element. Entertainment was spot on had a laugh and the young lady doing the entertainment made sure all the kids got involved. Really enjoyed it. 10/10 from us. Next time we will try the food too.

Chaotic children running about mad screaming and shouting. OK for parents looking for a night out but for couples forget it.

Today July 26th 2022 at 10.18 am Could a day start so bad? We were served yesterday's breakfast of 50p cold canned beans, boiled rashers, Yesterday's shrivelled mushrooms, a hard fried hashbrown, a huge soggy boiled and peeled tomato, a funny tasting sausage like it was a vegie sausage from frozen and defrosted 10 times before cooking, a cappuccino (the worst coffee I ever had it tasted like shoe and dirty carpet juice) made at the back and sugar put in it for us as they could not give us the sugar to put ourselves, a glass of water that had a bathtub water taste, with a perfectly fried egg and perfect toast. We were super excited about having an English breakfast. We were the only 3 to walk in there was a lady at the bar, she gave us a buzzer that will let us know our food was ready and we could come collect it... 3 PEOPLE ONLY in the bar. Hospitality and customer service was out the window. I am not one to waste food so I ate 70% of mine and drank 30% of my coffee. I will survive!

The only place to go with family! Top entertainment for the kids, talents shows, great music, entertainers the lot! A real British experience. I’ve also got to say the bouncers are the best I’ve ever met and really do keep this place a family place...

I would have give this place zero star if I could have absolutely Disgrace of please for starters I ordered meals and drinks for family and when short of one of the drink the bar staff said I only ordered one then this other bar staff come and said you only ordered one kids drink and she wasn't even there when I placed my order asked for my Receipt and was refused one and the place smells of Urine at the bar and the ladies toilets DONT EVEN HAVE ANY LOCKS ON THEM ALL BROKEN OFF and let's not forget to mention the mess of the toilets and finally if your looking for some where to go for a nice family meal this is not the place to go children running around all the tables playing chase games and hide and seek well the Parents just sit there and drink alcohol well the staff look and find it funny and last of all the tables absolutely Vibrating with the loud music so your food and drinks are dancing around the table ...

This bar is the best in Blackpool, a must visit if your in the area, friendly staff and a fab atmosphere, ignore the negative idiots. Lots of entertainment for the kids and a quiet space in Connolly's for the adults if that's what you prefer.
