The New Northumbria Hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne

Arrived for my stay- and the hotel was being used as a refuge centre, so I was unable to stay over. The hotel took my money, and I was stranded in Newcastle trying to find an alternative place to stay for the weekend, with limited budget and hotel availability.

Do not stay here had over £8000 in cash went out on my birthday came back and my room when I had put a sign on the door do not disturb was ignored and room had been burgled by staff or cleaners £5000 of money was stolen with bank cards used fraudently alongside SIM cards and was used post 5 months without notice, until I started to see thousands of pounds worth of food shops were placed per month not a place to be leaving anything valuable that’s for sure! Looking to sue them with solicitor they phone the police when trying to ask for the liability solicitors and try to threaten you with harassment when have no response do not visit this hotel!

Despite earlier good review, the owner has now contracted a parking management company that stickers cars registered for parking by the hotel reception. I no longer use this hotel. Still OK if you don't have a vehicle I suppose.
