I had the Sunday Carvery as part of a group of ramblers. We were all impressed with the quality of the meal, the light and airy surroundings and excellent service. It was great having the space for all 15 of us to sit together. Many thanks to the staff at The New Inn. We very much hope to return.

We had a great evening at the New Inn, our food was excellent (Game Pie highly recommended). Following the meal we tried out the shooting simulator which was great fun and Mike instruction and guidance was first rate.

Group of 6 friends had night away at this great pub. Ours rooms were lovely and clean, and the bed very comfortable Communication prior to arrival was great. We requested rooms together and dinner. All done and confirmed. We were a little late for dinner but not a problem to Emma and Sophia Dinner menu offered great choice. 2 of us ordered the pork which was delicious The other four meals including the hanging kebab as pictured were cooked to perfection and generous in size. Well done Chef Breakfast next morning was self service including tea and coffee and again offered great choice and again lovely

We went for the Sunday carvery with family of 8 people. Food was ok, beef pink as we like it , veg OK but they didn't replenish when levels were low. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the booking staff, but the server was a little brusque with my nephew as he hadn't heard all the instruction, quite unnecessary! Its seemed very popular which i don't understand as the carvery is very average and I doubt if we will be making a second visit.

We went to this establishment for the shooting simulator, followed by a meal afterwards for my wife's birthday (her choice). Both were brilliant. The simulator far exceeded our expectations. This was followed by a lovely meal (Chicken Pie, Balti, Apple Pie, Warm Chocolate Brownie) Thanks to all the staff. We'll be visiting again.

Food really nice and service really good. Accommodated our group at short notice. Restaurant seating area probably needs a freshen up and furniture looking it’s age otherwise would have been a fab 5.

Food was great as ever but what really stood out was the kindness of the staff. Due to limited mobility the lady checking us in changed our table to be nearer the carvery to save me walking. Offer to carry my plate to table was greatly appreciated. Good food and great service.

We visited on Sunday evening. They only had Carvery, which wouldn’t be our first choice, however it was fabulous. We asked for vegetarian and they cooked us 4 veggie sausages in red wine sauce. The potatoes & vegetables were beautifully cooked. Leeks in cream sauce being a highlight. All for £15.95. Many thanks. And much better than many meals at twice the price. But only sad we don’t live locally.

Was treated to Mother’s day lunch, lovely carvery, particularly impressed with not having to queue, chef called tables up to be served, had heard mashed potato was to die for….it didn’t disappoint, lovely meat, good selection veg and a very nice slice chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. One very happy Mum!

We were very pleasantly surprised by the new inn, we are 6 friends who meet up to celebrate our birthdays and one wedding anniversary in march, check in was easy, rooms very nice and comfortable everything you needed, we had a few drinks in the bar in the afternoon and then came down to dinner, a lovely choice of food and we all agreed the food was delicious, a big thank you to all the staff who were friendly and efficient will definitely be visiting again.

The wife, myself and dog had a great couple of relaxing hours in the bar here. The staff were so extremely accommodating and friendly that we also decided to have a meal. The food and drink was really enjoyable, made more so by our table next to the log fire. What more do you want

arranged a Christmas meal for 30 members of our Good Companions group. Have been doing this for several years at various Stratford establishments with varying success. This was easily the best, most trouble free experience. All our members loved it, even those historically hard to please! The food was excellent, the service brilliant, they were flexible, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Going again today with another group and looking forward to it. Sólo nos alojamos una noche en el New Inn, pero me hubiera encantado quedarnos más tiempo. Nuestra habitación estaba limpia y luminosa. Todo funcionó bien, aunque en el campo, la conexión a internet era un poco inestable. Una cálida bienvenida y un bar utilizado por lugareños y visitantes que le da un buen ambiente. El asador era excelente, carnes bien cocinadas y una gran selección de verduras. Tuvimos una excelente comida con nuestra familia extendida. El servicio era bueno y nos sentimos bienvenidos. Recuerde que este es un pub local con instalaciones limpias aunque básicas a un buen precio, no espere un gran servicio de hotel.

Un agradable pub / restaurante que parece especializarse en su asado. Hay muchos lugares donde se sirve un asado de la variedad de asados de los domingos, ya que están bien. Fue un jueves cuando nos fuimos. Un hermoso día soleado y estaba bastante lleno, el formato es obtener un boleto de la mesa justo antes del área de comida, encontrar una mesa y luego regresar al bar para tomar una bebida antes de unirse a la cola de comida. We have just returned from a few days at the new inn hotel. All the rooms are in courtyards,and have their own front doors. This makes it feel like just you, as a couple.

Glad I booked a table! Came here for the lunchtime carvery. It was busy but the staff were friendly and efficient. Carvery didn't dissapoint, food was hot and there was a good selection of meat and vegetables. Desserts were delicious too! Good value for money, will come again. Thank you.

Went for the carvery - had a voucher from the campsite we were staying on, which made it even better value. Good selection of meats and, unlike other carveries I have had, they weren't stingy with the portion size! Plenty of vegetables to choose from, all in all a delicious meal. Staff were very attentive and service was good - although our waitress didn't know which gins they had available so had to go back to ask - and then came back with only one choice! Plus my gin and tonic came without the usual ice and a slice - I've never had to ask for this before, it has always come as standard so was quite surprised! But this was a very minor niggle - I would recommend the restaurant and particularly the carvery - very good!

I point out from the start that this review is about the Restaurant/Carvery service. Visited yesterday evening to try out the carvery that was recently advertised. The pub was homely and comfortable. We were received by extremely friendly staff and shown to our table. Staff were extremely attentive and our drinks arrived quickly. At the carvery we were greeted by a very friendly chef who pointed out that guests needed to be careful as the serving area had hot surfaces. We were offered a choice of meats on this occasion a choice of beef or turkey, and then helped ourselves to vegetables etc.

Pasamos este hotel un par de veces y con el coche buscando siempre park pub completo que decidimos probarlo. Nuestra primera visita fue entre semana y elegimos un asador, pescado y patatas fritas y hamburguesas. La comida era adorable, las mesas estaban limpias pero el personal nos un poco lento para limpiar y reponer bebidas. Con tan buena comida que revisted el domingo para asados. Nos recibieron en la segunda visita de una camarera malhumorada que cuando nos dio nuestro nombre de nuestra reserva Le contesté diciendo "No sé sus asados? "Sin embargo, esto no estropea la comida, que de nuevo era un gran valor y un gran sabor. Sin duda volveremos y lo recomiendo.

Acabamos de regresar de una estancia de una semana en una cabaña en Clifford Chambers, y estuvimos encantados de encontrar esta joya de un pub en la puerta. Comimos en su menú en nuestra primera visita y nos pareció que la comida era deliciosa. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y nos quedamos encantados de volver dos veces durante la semana para disfrutar de sus asados, que era deliciosa. Nos alojamos aquí por una noche con los amigos. Está a 2 millas del centro de Stratford, pero la parada de autobús está enfrente y taxis disponibles. Es un lugar antiguo pero muy popular con la gente para comer y beber. Las habitaciones están anticuadas, pero los cuartos de baño han sido renovados y la ducha era buena. Las almohadas no son buenas y sólo puedes conseguir uno! Tuvimos una comida por la noche y el bistec era genial - cocinamos nosotros mismos en piedras calientes! El desayuno era bueno, con todas las opciones habituales. Es barato y alegre, familiar. Me alojaría allí de nuevo.

Viernes por la noche en casa llamado camino del centro comercial de Stratford tenía la excelente relación calidad-precio. asados La comida era excelente personal muy amable y servicial, sin duda volveremos.

We were staying near Stratford and managed to forget that it was Friday night and we would probably have to book. Wanted a pub outside of town, as parking in town is awful. Worked our way down the TA list only to find "fully booked" was the answer most places.The New Inn took our 7pm booking.We were thinking we had made a mistake on arrival, as the bar was full of blokes who looked as though they were set for the evening. No women at all.We managed to get past them, all very friendly, and went into the restaurant. Only two tables in use did not bode well - both having carvery. We do not like pub carve rise, anyway, and the menu did look good.We had one chicken dish, honey glazed, and one venison. Both pretty good. More glaze with the chicken and the venison less well done ( and a bit more venison, as the portion was on the small side) would have made it better - and a higher rating.Service much better than others have suggested.It had filled up somewhat by the time we left, although nearly everyone had carvery and pudding.Note - they charge a nominal amount for credit card use.Next time, we will try to remember when it is a Friday, but good enough.

auch wenn die Unterkunft etwas abgelegen ist hab ich den Aufenthalt nicht bereut. die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Personal gibt sich jede Mühe. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich, gut und nett präsentiert. Weiter so!!!!

Visited for two nights while going to the theatre in Stratford. The hotel was near by, friendly helpful staff and food excellent

Monday early lunch . Restaurant empty. Food good but service appalling. Rude , unfriendly and made us feel very unwelcome. Woman acted as if she was doing us a favour by serving us. Family of 6 plus a toddler. One member elderly and disabled and not a smile or friendly greeting from either the waitress or man at the desk. In hindsight should have just have left but we hoped a smile would appear but it didn't until the bill came and then she had the audacity to expect a tip. She also thought we were tourists so would accept her manner how wrong was she . Plus half the menu was not available as he said they had a busy week ...this was Monday at 12.30 !

The room booked was supposed to be an executive room, unfortunately it was a great disappointment, if this was an executive room I did wonder what an ordinary room was like. It was nothing like the photos on the website. There was only one chair, no telephone. Nowhere to plug in a laptop and what was described as a desk was a large sideboard. There was a sensor light in the bathroom which went off after a couple of minutes. The only good thing about the place was the staff, they were very friendly. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We visited this inn as part of a mid week break, overnight stop over and from the minute we entered the pub we had a really good friendly experience. Our room no 5 was warm, clean and with an excellent shower. The evening carvery was lovely, such good food, presented well and all served hot. The evening was most enjoyable and the next mornings breakfast was equally good, served piping hot and set us up for the day. Thank you to all the staff for your warm and welcoming hospitality. We would definitely recommend this inn for anyone staying in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Convenient for access to Stratford town centre with a bus stop nearby.Weekend break at same time as Bulldog Bash so hotel was busy but service was good. Nice breakfast and good food with excellent choice on the evening we ate in.Good clean room with tea making facilities.Word of warning - steep staircase access to accommodation with low headroom. One of us had a headache after the first day!

This is a restaurant that needs to get its act together. Visited last Wednesday night at 7pm, pleasant girl behind the bar. A carvery was being served.It looked nice and three other couples chose it. So did we but that was a big mistake. The food was cold and the cauliflower uncooked. How long had it been sitting there? As it was only 7pm it should have been piping hot! Not value for money.To make things worse there was some screaming female attempting to sing on the sound system despite everyone in the place being over 60. Staff seemed disinterested. I have run a similar establishment so I know what I am talking about.Bottom line. Make sure the food is piping hot. Train the staff to believe that the customers are the most important people in the place. If you must play music play something relaxing, we were not there to dance! I might even return to see if there is an improvement.

visited this pub in august and was very disappointed in the menu and the service. we waited 35 minutes for our food to arrive and it was nothing special. The pub was very quiet, not surprising with our experience, so we could see no reason for waiting so long. will not be visiting again.

Stayed here during an exhibition and was pleasantly surprised by it all. Dinner for 18 was efficiently served and the food was all hot and well cooked and tasty. Highlights were the 2 in 1 pies, steaks with real flavour and some good fresh fish. The rooms were a little varied but the exec rooms were smart with good showers and simply but well designed and paired with comfy beds. Staff worked hard to make sure everything was good and are to be praised for their efforts with such a large group for 2 days.

The building is very lovely we decided to go for a Sunday lunch.. On arrival we walked into the main restaurant with all the waitresses standing around just looking at us! Not one smiled so we had to ask for a table, they replied " have you booked" the room was empty Hence why they was just standing around.. We could either have two tables one in the conservatory or one in the main room. Still no waitresses smiled which infuriates me as I have been a waitress in a busy tea room and customer service and manors are key. The woman carving the meet was just as rude, I asked for mint sauce waited 10 minutes to go round a table of 5 so we asked for some more we waited another 10 minutes for them to come out that they haven't got non. The dinner was tasteless, no atmosphere, staff plain rude should not be in service at all.. On the way out still waitresses stood around doing nothing looked me up and down. We just walked past. If you want to feel uncomfortable while eating a cold tasteless dinner with terrible service then this is the place! I would never return again.

As Newbie's to Stratford upon Avon we booked Sunday lunch today in their Carvery.It is certainly not to be recommended. We shall never visit again.The building has a pleasant old exterior charm. The dining room lacked character and cleanliness. We changed our allotted table because ours was sticky from not having been properly cleaned.Then to the food counter. The meats offered were beef, pork and turkey or ham. They were very small in size and the vegetables did not look appetising.We were a group of three. My choice was just beef. I was given three small pieces as was my wife. Our friend asked for a piece of each meat. He was given a very small piece of beef and the pork was so thinly cut it crumbled. He said to the carver "is that as thick as you cut the meat?" The reply was simply "yep" Friend said in that case don't bother. I won't eat here. The carver made no reply. Customer relations did not come into play.Just two of us ate as we had already been served. The vegetables tasted and appeared days old and the Yorkshire pudding was inedible.I can put up with second rate food but this experience didn't go that high. It was very disappointing.

The food was nice and the service was good. The prices are not bad either. The only thing that let it down was the 'room' in which you eat your meal. We were placed in what was a conservatory and overlooking an electricity generator. I found this strange and not the best venue.

We were recommended the New inn by various people and suffice to say we were impressed. We had the carvery, The food was tasty, Hot and plentiful in fact I would go so far as too say I have never known so much vegetable options. The warm and friendly we had from the bar maids.waitress staff was second to none. I would highly recommend without hesitation and we will be back!

I visited The New Inn today with my family. This was not our first visit, we have been many times before including a party for my mother and fathers 25th wedding anniversary and all I can say is how much of a nose dive this place has taken!We were shown to our table and the waiting staff seemed either very inexperienced or disinterested - to be honest it was hard to tell.We had to ask for menus because the assumption had been made that we would all have the carvery. I don't like it wen people make assumptions! When our drinks arrived we had to ask the staff if they could take our orders; they didn't offer which is really strange. Once our orders had been taken the menus were just left on our tables.The meals were adequate for the price neither good nor bad but at least there was plenty of food. Not once were we checked on to see if everything was OK or if our meals were good. After we had finished our meals we waited for our plates to be cleared and be offered the dessert menu. This didn't happen. We waited for 20 minutes and at that point I had had enough and went to find someone to clear our table and I had to ask for the dessert menu. A waitress came and begrudgingly cleared the plates but didn't speak a word to us. She dumped a pile of dog eared, dirty paper dessert menus on our table but didn't tell us they were there spit was just by chance that we saw them. By the time we came to order our desserts most of our party had gone off the idea and only the children ordered (had they been quicker and more polite with the service we would have all ordered which would have added about £20 to our bill!)At the end of the meal no one came to take our plates and no one came to give us our bill so we went to the at to pay. We received no thank you and no smiles. Several coupons were stuffed into our hands to 'entice' us back but to be honest we wouldn't go back if it was free!Avoid at all costs, the New Inn is a sinking ship with no captain!

My wife and I arrived at the hotel and we were greeted with smiles and polite conversation.We were early but they allowed us to go to our room as it was ready,and what a surprise a lovely big room with walk in shower oak wardrobe cupboards bed side cupboards it was beautifl to say the least(by the way my wife is wheelchair bound and this room was ideal for her)Once rested we went for our evening carvery 3 courses no less and it was wonderful,the staff were very good at their jobs and took time to explain everything to us.The bar has a good selection of beers and real ales etc.This little inn is ideal to explore the whole surrounding area such as Broadway moreton in the marsh Stow on the wold,Bourton on the water Evesham Cheltenham and many more places.Now would I go again ? You BET I Would and we are looking forward to our next stay there

Stayed one night. Specifically booked as listed with free wifi. However, this wasn't available in the area I was staying in and it stated in the information folder that wifi was patchy with hotspots in the bar and restaurant. Didn't find any hotspots. They said because they were a rural location that their broadband wasn't high speed. Don't really believe that - it wasn't that rural!The food was good pub food and the breakfast was serve yourself buffet style which was appreciated.The room was clean and presentable although the decor was interesting! I obviously had the "green room"! The pillows were extremely lumpy and hard and I ended up using the cushions that were on the bed.For the money, it was ok.

Nice pub in pretty rural location. Ideal as a stop off point if out walking in the area. Country paths abound in the area and this is a nice place to rest awhile and enjoy a fine ale and friendly welcome

Very nice hotel restaurant enjoyed meal,room was ok and breakfast was lovely only thing that was very disappointing was the price of the beer if you were staying in hotel you were charged £3:80 for a pint of carling and the locals and regulars pay a different price of £2:50, when my husband went to order drinks at the bar a gentleman ordered two pints of carling the barman charged him £5 so my husband ordered the same we didn't realise we were charged £3:80 until we came to check out and got our bill when my husband queried it they said the locals regular had an incentive reward card,or something we were never told there were two prices been charged and would have known if my husband hadn't witnessed it at the bar,also it's says if your paying your bill by credit card there will be a £1:50 charge to your bill we payed by debit card which we pointed out and still got charged the £1:50 charge when pointed this out again the lady said oh I forgot and made no effort to reimburse us the £1:50, it's little things like this that add up,it was a lovely deal via wowcher but they got there money back in other ways not good really.

Only stayed for one night but wish it could have been longer. Lovely pub and restaurant, breakfast was good. Lovely room very clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. Will certainly go back there.

Nice pub . Stones throw from Stratford upon Avon. Expensive room at 70 pounds for the night as it wasn't a big room. I'd say it was worth 50 tops . Not a bad breakfast in the morning. Eat what you want and help yourself. . Would recommend just pricey in the room side . Maybe it's the area ???

what good service. we were warmly welcomed,lovely atmosphere,friendly staff. Good selection on the menu.

We had tried to book a table in Stratford on a rainy Sat evening and found it impossible to get a booking - all the popular restaurants were full. So - we decided to drive in to the New Inn and were pleasantly surprised to find it quiet so a table was immediately available. We saw the carvery had nice looking food and vegetables (some places keep the food far too long but the New Inn had fresh produce available). We opted for a lighter meal and enjoyed a quality starter, good main and a tasty dessert. Overall the service was excellent and the staff cheery and helpful. We'll be back for more next time we are staying in the area.

A pub with old rooms. A staircase that Bonnington would struggle with, staff that don't well just don't!!!food is good though.I am trying to be funny about a poor advert for the wonderful STRATFORDBeware the four poster bedroom.Merry Christmas kevs

The carvery is excellent with great range of meats and fresh vegetables. Friendly, attentive and efficient staff. Would recommend the new inn to everyone!
