They really do the best Sunday lunch in the whole of Shropshire! Great service too and lots of atmosphere. Highly recommend

We went for Sunday lunch with our toddler and I couldn’t recommend this lovely place enough! The staff were super kind and it’s definitely the best roast dinner you can get! Really great veg options, beef was cooked perfectly and lovely thick, rich gravy unlike the watered down stuff you get elsewhere.

5* everything. We visited for Sunday lunch to celebrate mother's day and everything was amazing. The service is always really good and it's the second time I've had a pork dinner and the flavours are just incredible. My only suggestion would be to offer the beef slightly more well done. I know my parents would have preferred it cooked more if they had the choice since they normally have it like a rubber boot...the chefs nightmare customers perhaps...but they did still enjoy their meal. I love it here and am a massive fan.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner whilst having a weekend away in Shrewsbury, and it did not disappoint. The New Inn is more than just a pub; it had the most lovely atmosphere and the staff were so attentive and kind. We both had, a starter, main and dessert, each of which were exceptional, but especially the beef wellington and the sirloin steak. The portions were very generous sizes, each presented beautifully. I would recommend the New Inn to anyone. If we are ever come back to the area, we will definitely be back.

We booked this beautiful country pub as a half way meet up for friends. We couldn’t have asked for a cosier, welcoming location for a long overdue catch up. The pub is set in a beautiful village right opposite a church, truly picturesque! We were warmly welcomed and sat at a cosy round table near the bar/fire. We all ordered a roast dinner beef and pork. All beautifully freshly cooked with a thick rich gravy. The selection of vegetables was the best we’ve ever had at a pub roast and very very tasty. Huge Yorkshire puddings and crispy, fluffy roasties! Deserts were equally as tasty but to be honest we could only manage half as so full. Every member of staff we came across were helpful, professional and welcoming. We will be making this our regular ‘catch up’ place!

Absolutely fabulous! We were a party of 10 celebrating a 60th Birthday. We could not have booked a better place to celebrate! The food was absolutely delicious, and the fact that all 10 plates were empty I think says it all! The staff were so friendly and accommodating we couldn’t have had a more enjoyable time! We will definitely be returning!

Yet again, another incredible 3 course meal enjoyed by us 5. 4 of us had the new Christmas menu, and 1 off the normal menu, save to say it was truly all enjoyed. Service was as always perfect, what a team!! Then the very talented amazing Head Chef Jake came out to see us at the end of meal- (I was so excited to eat my main course I forgot the picture) A perfect night had by all, thanks again to wonderful The New Inn team 💞👌

12 of us got together for a wonderful lunch at the New Inn.The food was excellent and all of us with diverse tastes found menu choices we enjoyed.The staff provided a friendly and natural service with great timing and responsivess to any requests,nothing was too much trouble. This lovely inn with such a warm welcome never disappoints in any way. We met friends for Sunday Lunch and the beef was the best we have ever had along with a wide selection of vegetables. The dessert menu is limited but should suit most and this usually means home cooked. If the dishes we chose were an example of this then I hope they continue to offer a limited menu. However a mention of the staff is also important as they were all very attentive and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Not the first visit and definitely not the last.

Food was amazing, fabulous flavours, the soup was the tastiest I have ever had and tried the Vegetarian main, which was just lovely

Went for Sunday lunch. It was fab. Service was prompt. Staff were charming. Food was excellent - particularly the gravy! - and there was lashings of it. Couldn't manage a pudding sadly, but will next time if I miss out the starter!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. My partner used to be a chef so it can be difficult to find somewhere he really enjoys his meal but he thought the food was beautiful! We look forward to returning!

We frequently visit the New inn, it is by far one of the best restaurants local to us, food is always beautiful, cannot fault a thing. Staff are friendly, warm, inviting and knowledgeable on menu choices. I highly recommend giving here a go.

The food was fantastic. There was a good choice but not too much; focusing on quality and freshness. The food was served at a perfect temperature and tasted delicious. The person taking the order was clear that we wouldnt need any sides with the dishes we had ordered. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They helped my elderly Mum out to the front while I brought the car around in the pouring rain. They were informative and chatty but not overbearing. The setting was spaced out, tidy and clean. A good balance between a traditional English pub and a modern bistro.

We pre-booked as we had 3 greyhounds with us. They saved us a perfect table & even had treats for the dogs. It was a lovely welcome & service was friendly and faultless. As for the food, absolutely gorgeous! The pub is in a beautiful location & beautifully furnished. I can not recommend it enough and we will definitely return.
