Becky, thanks for a great evening. Ales and Carols is always such a fun start to Christmas. The beer tasting was excellent, as was the buffet and venue. We love coming to The New Inn.

A gem of a pub! Bank Holiday Saturday.. King's Coronation... just popped in for a quick drink and ended up staying for a few more. Such a friendly welcome. Landlady was lovely. Clearly a pub with a loyal following as regulars arrived throughout the afternoon. A cute pub dog called Lincoln craving attention and nibbles. Decorated in red white and blue to celebrate the Coronation but also happy to put the football on when people asked. A nice introduction to Littlehampton. Well worth a visit!

Booked here after our usual choice was closed, had no idea what to expect. They only do one meal on a Sunday - a roast - apparently a different one each week. This week was pork which to be honest given a choice I wouldn’t have but it was good, plenty of meat and veg and a lovely Yorkshire pud! It seemed to be a locals pub everyone seemed to know each other but the two ladies working there made us feel so welcome, they were both so friendly and very attentive we didn’t feel like outsiders! Our meal and drinks were good value for money. Thank you ladies next time we’re are in Littlehampton we may drop in!

No food, old style pub with poor effort on decoration; rude staff, rough and/or young crowd. Would not recommend as a nice local.

Set in a quiet side street away from the beach it offers an oasis of fine beers and spirits with perfect hospitality. The outside seating is lovely, fully covered so great shade and dry in all weathers.

We were fortunate enough to have this local "Local" just a few yards from where we were staying. It was a warm and welcoming pub serving a good selection of beverages including a couple of good ales, a decent pub wine list and a good selection of gins. Sunday lunch was a real treat. Home cooking at it's best! On the Sunday we were there, it was a nicely cooked piece of beef, home made Yorkshires and fresh vegetables, followed by a beautiful bread and butter pudding. One of our friends had the vegetarian option for the main course and was equally happy with the food. I would certainly recommend the New Inn if you are looking for a quiet, cosy, pint and for a sumptuous Sunday lunch.

We were visiting from Canada and USA staying just around the corner. First day there we popped in for a quick pint, three hours later we left, very friendly staff and customers....we were chatting as though we knew these people for a long time. We were there just a week but visited several times. One time were there it was quiz night, another time a roomful of people were playing their ukuleles. Another time we met family there and had a great time. Very nice, olde style pub, very friendly and lots of interesting people. We enjoyed every minute there

The New inn is a lovely traditional pub, very friendly and welcoming when you first enter. The price of drinks is very reasonable. It is quite close to the seafront, about 5min walk. We need to support pubs like this as they are slowly disappearing

The place was empty on a Wednesday lunchtime probably because it is a drinking pub not a foodie establishment. But all 3 real ales were on top form and there was a real cider also available. We drank Harvey’s Sussex Bitter plus a bitter from Hardys and Hansons and another containing sloe gin. The landlady also gave us good advice of where to have lunch.

Twice in a week or so I've tried to have a drink (or two.....) in this much hyped pub, only to be turned away because 'we're not open yet'......this despite me arriving well within the opening times advertised on their website......Having recently retired to the area I thought it would be a good idea to try all my local pubs......but I can't see me walking this way anytime soon unless they can be bothered to advertise their correct opening times.......

Been visiting this pub for years and since the new owners have come in I have to say its better than ever. The prices are reasonable and the staff are just what you want from your local pub. An inviting atmosphere. A professional land lady who is always welcoming. The outside area has changed for the better also. It's the small things that's make up this pub. The outside is small and there's not a lot you can do with it but by goodness they have done it!Well done and good luck for the future to the new owners. - so far so good!

The New Inn serves fantastic real ales. All the locals - of whom I am one - know this. Now The New Inn is doing food as well. The menu is limited as the landlady has decided to limit the options in favour of serving all her dishes to a good standard; there are no second rate offerings here. There are various homemade pies, all served with mash and liquor as well as the traditional ploughman's lunch. However I opted for the fish pie served with fresh vegetables. As I am allergic to cheese I asked if it was possible to have mine without cheese added. This was not a problem as my fish pie was cooked to order. There were six vegetables on the plate as well. My dinner was served hot, as it should be. It was full of flavour and went down very well with a couple of pints of the aforementioned real ale. Will I eat here again? Definitely.

If you live in Littlehampton/Rustington, and haven't had a pint or two in the New Inn, you are missing out. The friendliest staff and customers I've ever come across in a pub. The real ales are rotated regularly, so you'll always find one you like. Sport on the TV if you like, pool table in th back room, and a lovely patio garden to enjoy the evening sun.

Katie and I came here with a small family group for a spot of lunch in the sun. Great welcome, friendly staff and good food. Beer a bit expensive but there's a wide variety on offer. Overall a great afternoon and we'll return for sure.

Once you get used to the smell from the toilets on the left hand side of the bar and the uncomfortable seating if you aren't there quick enough for the cushioned benches then it's a lovely pub with friendly staff. The food is really hit and miss, I've had some great stuff and not so great but it's fairly priced and suitable enough to soak up alcohol or snacking whole being sociable (especially their sharing platters). I wouldn't choose to go there for a meal particularly. Very dog friendly pub with treats and toys for your furbabys. Really good pub for showing sports and they have a pool table, slot machines and small outside garden

My espresso was excellent, good balanced flavour with hints of chocolate on the after taste. Service was a bit slow but it was lunchtime on a Saturday.
