We were recommended this place by someone locally, and were interested to see if it was as good as he said. We were not disappointed! We were greeted like old friends as soon as we walked in. All the staff were lovely, and very attentive. We had soup to start, my tom yum was ferociously hot; just how I like it, while my wife's was not as hot but beautifully rich with coconut milk. For mains I had chili fish, while she had king prawns with ginger. Both dishes were absolutely delicious; everything was perfectly cooked. There was so much of it that we couldn't finish the rice and noodles we had as sides. We can't wait to go back.

Good tasty Service very very slow and an incorrect dish brought to table staff were not happy when we questioned it in fact argued that we had ordered this ,we have eaten here several times and not had this happen before

Staff friendly and service was good. Mixed starter was very poor (overcooked spring rolls, dry prawn and greasy naa-moo (which we were unable to eat because of the grease). The pork ribs were nice. The main food was okay, the meat was lean and tender but it was ruined by the inedible far too sweet and gloopy coconut rice.

First time we have visited here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Large menu to choose from. Great food with friendly service.

First visit and won't be the last. Easily found with plenty of car parking at the back. We often eat Thai and this is certainly amongst the best. I had chicken satay to start, followed by chicken panang with jasmine rice. Absolutely delicious. Tasted very authentic and the waitress was helpful too.

One of the best Thai food and pub restaurants that I've found, prices are not that low but the quality justifies the cost in my opinion, I certainly couldn't afford to eat there on a really regular basis but as a treat it's well worth the strain on the wallet. I went with a large group of family members for a pre birthday meal, around 12 of us, and there is a restaurant minimum spend of £15 per cover which as there were a few younger members with us who were not into eating as much as the adults the order staff were keen on making sure that that rule was kept to, I am sure that we exceeded that minimum spend very easily as the drinks are also not cheap. £££💷💷💷 I did take pictures but not of the dishes which is a shame as they are very well presented, I'm more into eating the food rather than taking pictures of it 🙄

We dined here, the women were lavished in satin of every colour. They were fast on approach, kind and helpful... Their smiles sung a tune of old Thailand. Our food came hot, maybe a little too hot for some of our other members of our pack. We laughed and enjoyed the moment.. however it was brief.. we stuffed the meat and veg into our faceholes so quickly. Our vegans were also happier than Larry - whoever he is. I'll be back.. it's a place I can get my inner Alexander out of the cage ! The speckled hen is cold and delicious. 10/10

Amazing authentic food would 100% recommend 😋

This was our first visit to the New Inn after recently moving to the area. We visited on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy but we were quickly shown to our table and given the menus. The service throughout the evening was excellent. We had the set meal for 4. All the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Desserts and coffee were included. The bill, including drinks was around £130. I would certainly recommend the New Inn and we will be back before too long.

Unassuming when entering, but really delicious food, reasonable prices and friendly service. Hadn't been for over 6 years having moved away, but went back yesterday and it blew all expectations out of the water. Fantastic.

Great food with great service, polite staff. Very clean inside and outside. If you can't eat all food just tell the staff and they will provide you with contains to take the food home. Plenty of food and reasonable price food the drinks were cheaper than my workplace.

Visited this Thai restaurant for an evening meal to celebrate Mothering Sunday weekend with my daughter and her fiancé. And because I was travelling to the US two days later we phoned our order in before coming and set time of arrival. As soon as we came in, we were seated to our table and drinks ordered. Service is excellent and they are always very obliging. Food was served in no time, which was really tasty. I would definitely recommend this place.

Spent £130 for 2 adults and 2 small children for a family meal. What a joke no service no atmosphere and most of all the food was cold and undercooked. They had the audacity to charge me £2.00 for some crackers that I had to ask for while we waited ages for the food to arrive. Toilets were dirty! Never going back and feel I’ve been robbed legally. Certainly a minus -100

We have been to the New Inn many times and have always been happy with the food and service. We went for my sister’s birthday and had a booking at 7pm food orders were taken shortly after but starters did not arrive for over an hour. The main course arrived an hour after we finished the starters. We asked a number of times when the food would arrive and no apologies for the delay were given and we were fobbed off with ‘soon’ the staff didn’t seem to care or offer any explanation for the delay. The food wasn’t as good as it was on previous visits and it is u likely we would return

Shabby exterior but good Thai food with extensive menu, minimum per head charge. Comfortable interior.

The food is great, with a great selection. No chopsticks being available did throw me but not a significant issue. A large carpark and a small but perfectly formed selection of drinks are available.

Not great food was 30 minutes late and not the usual standard. Very disappointing!

We have been going here for a while. Last couple of visits have not been quite as good as the muni seems to be quite limited now. However the food we had was good and the service was also fine. Didn’t think it was too expensive either.

We had a take away from this restaurant. After reading pretty good reviews we had high expectations. We were let down! The food is nothing more than mediocre and the service is something this restaurant should work on. The lady who took the order got it wrong only for my family and I to find out when I got back. I rang them straight away and was told to come and collect the correct order. No apology was offered over the phone or when I turned up. To add insult to injury I was then charged for the items the restaurant got wrong when I originally placed my order. So 2 stars for the OK food and nothing for the lack of hospitality and taking responsibility for messing up my order. Shame!

Probably the tastiest Thai meal I have ever had. Didn't have high expectations as we are visiting the area so didn't go here on a recommendation. The king prawns in the red Penang curry were so tender they melted in your mouth. We also had a green thai chicken curry and pad thai, all very fresh and arrived at the table hot. Plenty of food but not at the expense of quality. Was very impressed and if I visit the area again would definitely pay them a return visit.

Visited for the first time tonight and was disappointed overall. After regularly using Dereham Thai we decided to give this a go. Sadly, this isn't close to Dereham Thai.. Very poor service and not even close on food quality. We will stick to Dereham Thai.

Sadly due to the Coronavirus the pub and restaurant were closed, and they only had the takeaway option available. We had a takeaway this evening, and it was absolutely excellent. I’d highly recommend the New Inn.

Sizzling duck not as good as usual!

Strange walking thru a public bar area to the restaurant, once seated a different experience. Perfect service, menu very informative. Food was very very good, all hot and very tasty. All together a superb meal and friendly waitress. Thank you.

Recommend to everyone who like Thai food and an English pint. Generous menu to suit most tastes. Staff friendly and helpful. Prices not excessive 😊. Plenty of parking space.

Had a lovely meal tonight... my little boy was made very welcome... very cosy warm and welcoming

Amazing staff, so friendly and they make the kids laugh. The food here is always amazing. Deep fried garlic salmon was top notch, spring roll starters were crisp and flavourful with the sweet chili and the sweet mystery dips. There's a broad selection of local beers, the one brewed there in Beetley was perfectly named as "Worth the Wait" and the wide selection of hot and cold deserts finished the night wonderfully. Advice to those who wish to eat here, book a table in advance! This hidden gem isn't a secret to the many who love The New Inn, it was packed full of happy customers.

Thought we’d try this Thai instead of the normal Thai in Dereham town and will not be doing it againThough it was pleasing to see the establishment busy on a Saturday evening, it seems the quality of food dips because of thisI had the spring rolls for starters, which were devoid of any flavour which thankfully the accompanying dips and salad provided My partner was pleased with her Thai fish cakesFor mains, my partner had the Ginger prawns with Pad ThaiWhilst the main dish was pleasant enough, the Pad Thai was overdone with Cashews and most of them were leftI ordered the Chilli Beef with Egg fried rice and it was this dish that disappointed the mostI may as well of bought some beef slices from Aldi and had them with the riceThe was no flavour whatsoever. I expected some spice, some hint of garlic, some chilli tang on my tongue and 24 hours later, Im still waiting.Though the service couldn’t be faulted (however I ddI receive a call 30 minutes before I arrived asking what time my table was booked for!!) the food certainly fell short of the £55 it costBack to Thai Dereham next time

Just had another excellent meal this evening, the food, as usual was brilliant.The service exemplary, and the ambiance super.We’ve given up eating anywhere else, as this place is just head and shoulders above the rest!If you’ve not tried it, then you should put this restaurant at the very top of your bucket list.Absolutely love it!

Saturday lunch. The restaurant was very quiet, surprisingly so. The starters were a fair price and very tasty and nicely presented. The mains, although generous, were average compared to other Thai meals we have had. I would prefer smaller portions for mains at a lower price point. The cutlery , although lovely, are oddly weighted and tend to spin in your hands.We declined the dessert menu and coffee but had to ask for the bill when it wasn't forthcoming after 10/15 mins.Just generally disappointed experience all round compared to other Thai restaurants.

August 26th bank holiday was The New Inn anual charity open day. Weather very good as was the food, all cooked to usual high standard. Good variety and plenty of it. Owner and staff very friendly again as always. Many people attended and suported the chosen charity. I would say probably the highest attendence I hve see (very good)Also New Inn had a good local? singer, which was a nice addition that made the day even better.

Found this by searching for somewhere good to eat with family. It certainly did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was awesome.
