The food is good value for the money.

Nice Wetherspoons Pub. Very good choice on the food menu at reasonable prices. My wife had scampi which she really enjoyed. I had the Gourmet Steak which was alright. Steak was a bit chewy but for the price, it was ok. As most pubs in this franchise there is a great selection of beers and spirits. Staff were friendly, parking in car park next door for a cost, worth a visit.

I'm not a Spoons snob however, this is definitely one of your better ones!

I had accompanied a friend to an appointment at the nearby King George hospital. We decided to have lunch at the New Fairlop Oak. One of the best, most efficiently managed Wetherspoon I’ve visited. A great experience from entering to leaving. Several well kept guest ales, efficient bar service and very short wait time for food. Although positioned at a very busy roundabout there’s ample parking nearby at sensible prices. Will definitely return if in the area again. Highly recommended.

This is my third time going in here and I always had good time and vibes, the staff and the manager are very friendly and professional, We went also in group during the football game(England and Spain) and the servings was still good even if the pub was full, I recommend the chips and the chicken, there is also lots of space outside in the "garden" and inside. Recommend to everyone

Love the ambience and the people who work there!

Visited a couple of times when working in the area. The food was nice and the drinks are definitely worth it. However the experience i have had with some of the staff was unpleasant. An older lady was extremely rude and didnt have no customer service skills what so ever. Needless to say there was a young man that worked there whom had great customer service. Parking is limited for the pub itself, however there is some road side parking and a bigger carpark across the road that youd have to pay for.

Another Wetherspoons, they've expanded the breakfast menu and it represents excellent value..

Great food new foods added to menu & friendly service

So nice experience, it was playing football England and Spain, I booked a table , but then when I arrived at the pub, few gays was sitting there, refusing to leave the table.. The staff was so nice , they didn’t give up, and they made that’s people to go. I had the tabel and I enjoyed together with my friends. The food was very good, the chips and chicken wings were brilliant. For sure I m coming back. The staff very professional, serving in time.

Very nice pub at the centre of the town. Drinks and food are less expensive compared to other local pubs. Lot of indoor and outdoor space with table service via the app. Easily accessible via public transport and paid parking available.

The place is nice . The staff were amazing , really extra mile to ensure your experience was nice there . But the food was quite terrible. I ordered an apple crumble. This is the way it looks . The crumble on top was the worst I ever had, you can still taste raw flour . I was so disappointed.

Cheap and cheerful. We ordered the Lemon and Herb chicken, Korean Fried Chicken, and Chicken Melt and really enjoyed the food. For about £10-11 for the food and pint, it's an excellent bargain. The pub itself is very large and has an extensive beer garden perfect for those hot summer days.

We had fish and chips with a drink. The fish was very thin and the batter looked it has been fried twice or more. Service was good.

Nice location and reasonable prices

Great Weatherspoons, it has far more natural light than usual Weatherspoons. It has an excellent outdoor seating area for the summer.

The traditional Spoons experience in a lovely pub with an amazing history. The food is great, drinks are better, would recommend to friend, foe, and family.

Very dominant pub on the entry to Barkingside. Large garden must be very popular in good weather.It was a busy midweek lunchtime and well attended. Food, Service and prices were excellent. Great public transport links and well worth a visit.

I don't normally go for pub dinners, especially at chain restaurants, but decided to give this place a go. The dining area was spacious enough to accommodate many guests, although we had to navigate over spilled food on the carpet to reach an empty table. I opted for a chicken dish, which came with a Mediterranean salad. Unfortunately, I found the salad quite unpleasant. While the chicken was tender, it lacked flavour. My wife ordered the small fish & chips, but the fish turned out to be chewy, and she left half of it uneaten. Despite the saying 'you get what you pay for,' the quality didn't meet our expectations for this chain. Overall, we were left feeling very disappointed.

Been a while since I've been in the fairlop Oak. First time in 22 years,was the last time when I lived in the area. Dropped in after a running event today for breakfast. Value for money,great food and great service.

Food was lovely but when i queue for dessert i waited till i was next in line and a young lady walked in front of me to be served when i said excuse me im next the manager of this pub at the time told me to wait my turn how rude i was the next person to be served when i said i was he said well i serving this person now. 😡 when asked to speak to the manager it was him, he was so rude there was no apology he just said she hadn't paid for her drink thats why she jumped infront of me.

OK no problems, only went for coffee.this is one of the best Weather spoons I have ever been in. It is my local. For whatever reason the food here always seems to be better than any other branches of the chain. I have been in many.

Love the new outdoor garden area

A small hiccup getting served initially, but all sorted in the end. A deceptively large pub with a very nice sized beer garden. A bit of building work going on in front but this doesn't really detract from its beauty. Ended up having a very interesting chat with the area manager(?) about various spoon related issues - very pleasant man. The Guinness was excellent

The food is passable, but no great shakes. Coffee vey reasonably priced and you can get unlimited refills, a good place to sit and chat with friends

I’ve been meaning to visit this pub for ages! The real ale choice wasn’t quite as perfect the app, but I enjoyed a pint of Adnam’s Ghost Ship all the same. I found out that this pub was previously a Berni Inn, which explains the vast layout. Will definitely visit again.

Lately I have been very disappointed.. The portions are smaller, the prices are higher. I won't be visiting again anytime soon.

Budget friendly Pub. Food is nice too. We can take our little one there no restrictions. I love the Fried Wings. Ample Parking space . Outside sitting area with plenty seats and space. Staff is Friendly.

Smelly, poorly decorated Wetherspoon, with grumpy unfriendly staff serving meals. However, the beer garden is sizeable and car parking available adjoining at reasonable prices. The toilets in this branch were disgusting and not cleaned well. This place is OK for a drink and a quick meal if your not too fussy!

We ordered food 2 lemon and herb chicken and a sirloin steak Well the steak was so chewy that my partner swapped with our son The chicken was cooked well but it seemed whoever put the lemon and herb sauce on just put it on one area which gave it a funny taste Disappointed as we use the spoons pubs regularly and never face any issues Maybe it was just a off day... There weren't many staff working at all so possibly that could be the issue

This morning was served the worst English breakfast I have ever experienced. Hash browns were particularly disgusting. Unfortunately the coffee machine was out of order too.

This pub is always lively and full in the evenings. I thought I’d try a breakfast so went for the Eggs Benedict and was not disappointed. One egg was cooked through but was still tasty. Ordering food at the bar is easy and the food was brought out quickly. The prices are very reasonable. You also get a bottomless Lavazza coffee for £1.45. Recommended 👍🏻

Was very busy, staff get easily overwhelmed. I heard one complaining there were three table 17s, which must frustrate them. They were nice enough though, and atmosphere was pleasant.

Very good spoon. Lots of outdoor seating, attentive staff (normally hit and miss at other spoonies), good service and lovely atmosphere. Update 09/07/23. Absolutely the best ever waitresses/ staff in a spoon ever. Shannon was a perfect member of staff. Clearing tables, serving food and drinks, helping customers. Just off her feet all the time. So much so I have emailed the company to acknowledge this (Shannon is her name) probably the best spoon member of staff I have ever seen. So proactive with clearing tables, serving food and drinks, helping punters etc. A true asset to the Fairlop Oak. Please acknowledge those that go above and beyond in their work.

Some of the staff are very rude, they tend to prioritize their preferred customers, purposely delaying food orders for long time and if you ask for an update they tend to be very aggressive and further delay the order and allow others in the back of the queue to jump forward and make their orders . It’s an intimidating experience.

Good place for a quick pint food was good service was really good.

The staff seems to be racist . They denied serving us even after apologizing for singing and enjoying our own space. I will never visit again. If you are not British guys please avoid such a place.

A friendly local pub. Love how quick and easy it is. Menu is good, food comes quickly and the staff are helpful.

Evening out with work colleagues. Lovely evening. Pub was very busy. It was a Friday which meant table service took a little longer. Queuing at the bar too, very busy.

Food is surprisingly good. It is amazing value for money in this day and age. Lots of seating with some outdoor seating. Nice chilled vibe and good place to hang out with friends. Can't go wrong with the curry. The pitchers were hit and miss.

We only came here so we could eat outside with our dog. We have brought our dog a few time before and it has never been a problem. The dog sitting under the table, not bothering anyone. They kicked us out after we ordered and paid for our food, because apparently they dont allow dogs. The staff were rude, horrible and didn't even apologise.

Always seem to be disappointed in some way or another at this pub. Either something's missing or isn't as we expected. Id come back from travelling and hadnt been to a spoons in over a year, so i forgot their standard and i suppose my own expectations had changed. I also went to a spoons in London 3 days following as I was at a conference and it was the same level of service so its not just this branch, its their brand

Good pub with good prices.. just be careful if parking your car, pub refunds the amount on your purchase but the automated camera system fines you if you don't pay for extra parking.. would give 5 stars if it wasn't for this

Good food reasonably priced and great atmosphere

Every time we go here the food is good, it's hot. It's pub grub, not fine dining. There are disabled toilets. The servers are always very friendly and helpful. Lots of people go there, and it's always busy. There's never a long wait for the food. The bar, though, does get very busy. I love the breakfast and usually have the fish and chips for lunch/dinner. They have a good-sized car park. You do have to pay, but they take it off your food bill when you show them your receipt.
