Gold's Coffee in Redbridge

Drunk here on and off for 40 odd years. It was a Berni Inn when I first came in there! Beer is always pretty good and there is always a nice country wide selection of Ales. It has to be said some staff are miserable as sin.. but then that’s working at Wetherspoons for you perhaps? Some are very friendly though in fairness, but some of the fellas behind the bar need a bit of customer related training it has to be said, or different jobs perhaps? Still, all that has not stopped me drinking here :)

Absolutely authentic Kerala food.

If you want food poisoning then this is the place for you. I ordered the shawarma with chips. There was an uncooked chicken rod spinning which the chicken was raw as it was still being made at the other rod had the cooked one. They were having issues with the rod that had the cooked one so right in front of me he cut the cooked chicken and put it on top of the raw and I told him that other one ain’t cooked I got given a dirty look and the other male was trying to persuade me that it’s cooked. Anyone with eyes can see it was NO WHERE NEAR COOKED. I immediately got up and left and didn’t even pay. Didn’t care that the chips were made was not about eat cook food that was on top of raw chicken. DO NOT COME HERE.

As a regular customer, I can confidently say it's my go-to for takeout! The food is consistently fantastic—fresh fish with a crispy batter and perfectly cooked chips that stay delicious even during delivery. I appreciate how well they maintain quality and taste.
