Arrogant manager with a sense of over importance. Red hot in there, probably because the average age in there was 60 years old. Cheap alcohol but there is a reason for it. Lager was poor. Bar staff friendly enough but with the management they have I really feel sorry for them. If you want a cheap pint and are not bothered about quality or baking then this is the place for you.

Liverpool is justifiably famous for its great pubs and amongst all these great real ale pubs are an amazing amount of Irish pubs ,located in the Grand Central Hall Building along Renshaw Street is The Irish Village, a complex of four Irish pubs, Nelly Foley's Pub in here was one such pub we visited in this lively area. I love the look of this pub, a great interior, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, all the Irish bric a brac adorning the walls you would expect to find in a good Irish pub, tv's to enjoy the sport, all manner of flags hanging from the ceiling and plenty of seating options spread throughout the pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Renshaw Street. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the bar team, we track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table were we ordered a guinness each, guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub and complex. My guinness was absolutely superb, a rich, thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste, very easy to drink, on a hot afternoon a totally refreshing brew. This really is a great pub ,its one of two Irish pubs called Nelly Foley's Pub in Liverpool, their other venue is along Great Charlotte Street which is also well worth checking out. We really enjoyed our guinness in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Nelly Foley's Public House is easy to locate along Renshaw Street in Grand Central Hall Building. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 11am till 11pm. Friday & Saturday, 11am till Midnight. Sunday, 11am till 11pm. A wonderful Irish pub, most definitely well worth seeking out if you're in the area.

Been here a couple of times and I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere, they always have great live music. I love how big the place is, I’ve never been when it’s been extremely busy in there (by choice) but I think there will always be enough room, because there’s so many seats. The roof terrace is a personal favourite of mine, can be opened up in the sun, and has a roof over it if raining or cold, which is a lovely touch. We went there quite late on but they serve food until 9pm! Me and my boyfriend hadn’t even realised how long the food was taking but the girl who served us brought our food out, informed us as to how long it had taken for her to make it (explaining her receipt machine wasn’t working). She then offered us a free drink as a way of saying sorry, which was really lovely!! The food was lovely (we both had a chicken burger) and it was really quiet up on terrace for a Sunday night. Would definitely come back again, it’s the bar I always look for first when I’m in Liverpool!!

Not been here for many years but just passing and called in for a pint. Still a very busy place with plenty of seats and they seem to have a great menu, so must call back and try the food out.

Great bar. Excellent service. Just a shame on their drinks selection. They didn't have any spiced rums
