Quirky independent coffee shop on Gloucester Road in Bristol. Great tasting coffee would recommend over the chain stores nearby.

Been to Bristol twice and I’ve eaten here 3 times, 2 breakfasts and one lunch… they serve amazing food, everything freshly prepared and flavours spot on!! I totally recommend and when I return to Bristol later in the year I will also be returning to The Nectar House…

Quirky, and welcoming, with fabulous food, great service and awesome coffee. I’d definitely go back to try out the rest of the menu. The stacks are perfect, and super tasty. 😋 Couldn’t have been happier…

Great choice of seating inside and out, friendly staff, great accomodating brunch menu; feels like a decent amount of attention has gone into selecting ingredients (and cakes). Excellent coffee, taste local, Wogan? Extract? Not sure but it's good. Easily one of the top spots on Gloucester Rd.

Some of the best vegetarian food we've ever eaten. The cafe has a good vibe and a mixed clientèle - lots of students and young professionals - the whole Gloucester road area feels like a thrwback to the 1960s in a good way.

Lovely venue and fabulous coffee but for me the food was a bit of a let down. The high priced (£13) breakfast was mediocre at best. The apple sausage (only one) was dry and broke into pieces. Would have preferred a nice, full flavoured and moist pork sausage - preferably two at that price point. The bacon was thin, hard American style streaky, the eggs were fine, as were the hash browns. The mushrooms were spoiled by some odd tasting herb - I love mushrooms and believe that they are rarely enhanced by additives aside from butter and garlic but couldn’t eat these since they just didn’t taste like mushrooms! Beans (tiny portion) and toast were OK but the Kale - why? Large portion of green stuff taking up lots of space on the plate. Totally irrelevant in terms of taste enhancement for a good, Sunday breakfast. Lovely staff and nice clientele - had a good social experience - but disappointed in the taste combinations and would not return unless there was a menu change.

…a bee-themed cafe on Gloucester Road. I really enjoyed my ‘luxury hot chocolate’ and almond croissant and the garden is a very nice space too. Super quick service and the rest of the food looked great as well!

Visited this morning for breakfast and what an absolute joy it was. Fantastic food, piping hot and delicious- the best crispy kale I have ever tried, divine smoothies, and to top it all off, lovely, friendly and fun staff. Looking forward to our next trip to Bristol to go again. Thanks!

Was wondering down glouster road when the friendly staff who always serve me at the Nectar House told me there was a new menu. I decided to get some emergency brunch on the back of this information. I went for the new pulled jackfruit sandwich... Unbelievable! Massive foodie and this ticked all the boxes, packed with sweet Cabbage and well seasoned jackfruit the rest of the dish just added to the texture. Thanks to the head chef who explained how to replicate and the friendly service staff.. A must try, thanks guys!

Local relatives recommended this cafe. Was a great suggestion! No reservations taken so be prepared to wait for a table as this place is popular. Best to sit in garden at back, but as this was full, we sat outside at the front. Really great food. I enjoyed my chorizo stack. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. OJ is not freshly squeezed though. Disappointing and overpriced.

Really warm welcome. Nice staff. We didn’t eat here, but the chai latte was one of the best I’ve tasted. Good selection of cold beers too. We actually went there twice during our stay in Bristol. Would definitely recommend

Terrific cooked breakfasts. We’ve enjoyed their flexible ‘Stuff on Toast’ options with poached eggs (excellently done soft), bacon and sausages. Well done Nectar House for not making the toast too thick. Good coffee too. Lots of other interesting breakfast options too. Pleasant seating inside, on the street-side terrace and in a garden area at the back. Friendly service. Two suggestions: turn down the music inside and don’t expect customers to get their own cutlery - you do, after all, have table service.

Went to Friska for lunch with a friend. The dining area was getting full as it was clearly prime time, but there wasn’t a queue and service was efficient and smiley. Atmosphere in this Friska is nice,
