This is such a great pub, warm welcome from both staff and regulars. Have eaten here a couple of times now and every time the food has been great, the fish and chips are especially good, best I've tasted in a long time

We had a couple of pints here after the annual Market Rasen's duck race and its raffle. Good choice of beers, a pool table, a fireplace and a beer garden to enjoy your drinks outdoor. There is food available for take away (but do not remember the details and hours).

Old school pub with traditional pub food! Doesn’t look like it’s been decorated since the 80s but adds to the character. Food was very tasty

Really nice, friendly pub. The food was delicious and all three of us really enjoyed it. The steaks were cooked perfectly, my mushy peas were so good and my fish was so good too. Didn't get a chance to photograph the treacle puddings - they were devoured to quickly but my lemon meringue was home made and delicious. We will definitely return - dog friendly too which was a bonus for us and home made chips yummy 😋

We just came across this village pub on a drive about. It is a typical village pub with friendly locals and good home cooked food at very decent prices. I have to admit it was the best bit of gammon I'd had in a long time.

After being pretty awful for ages it changed hands a while back to the original owners, and it isn't bad now at all. It's true that the Nags isn't the cosiest, most aesthetically pleasing pub in the world, but it's friendly, there's a good choice of beer, (of which the cask ales are cellared really well), and the food is good quality, reasonably priced, generous, and really nice! All in all, much improved. Give it a go.

We had read reviews and were hoping to get a good meal. We were lucky to be able to sit in a quiet dining room, ordered quickly at the bar, sirloin steaks medium rare. Our drinks arrived in good time, served by a bubbly young lady. Our meals arrived in due course, presentation was spot on, and good portions. My steak was fine, my husband's was more rare than medium rare and had a considerable amount of gristle running through. Mushrooms were overcooked in a not very pleasant almost rancid fat. We had hoped for better. Sorry, we will not be going back.

The pub itself is ok. The landlord is very obnoxious, he has no customer skills whatsoever. The pub would benefit from a better person running it. Do not go there. It is such a shame because it would be a lovely country pub.

Stopped in here as it had a large car park, and were looking for a stopover, asked if we could order a meal and stay in car park overnight. No problem. I ordered steak pie, husband had lasagne. Both came with home made chips, think there was a whole weeks bef in my pie, very tender and tasty. Couple of drinks, very friendly manager and staff, peaceful night sleep, what more could you ask? 2 meals, two pints, 2 glasses of wine £29. Lovely thankyou

Good value. Both Sunday lunches in the bar area or restaurant meals in tge dining area are good. Not too large a menu so they cope well with producing what they can as god food at a decent price.

Nice pub on outskirt of market rasen looked like a typical village pub. Wood burning stove in the hearth gave reel rustic smell of wood smoke. Had steak and ale pie which was packed full of tender chunks of steak with a pastry lid and chunky homemade chips and fresh podded peas. The children's chicken nuggets was a hit too. Staff very friendly would definitely recommend

What a Sunday feast. We took some friends to this quaint village pub. Our first visit, we were not disappointed and our friends thought it was fantastic. The food was well presented and plenty of it. You decide on how much you eat 1,2 or 3 courses only one of our group managed all 3. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A perfect Sunday despite the weather.

We were staying in market rasen and we were struggling to find a pub which served food all day. This one obviously did. The food was all home made and delicious. The gammon piece was one of the biggest I've seen in a pub meal. Chicken nuggets for kids looked very nice too better than the frozen food given to kids normally. All meals came with homemade chips !!!! How rare is that!! Good value too as the cost was very reasonable. Definitely recommend it. Parking is ample as there is a car park at the side too

This very easy to find traditional English pub is in the the quiet Lincolnshire village of Middle Rasen, with plenty of parking. We enjoyed a very tasty lunch, with scrumptious home made chips all freshly prepared and served very promptly. The pub had a small local crowd and a lovely log burner keeping the dining warm and snug on this blustery day. All in all, a really nice and welcoming pub with great food and service with a countryside smile, perfect!

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Perfect Wedding Reception Venue!! Me and my now husband Steve had our wedding reception here, and it was just absolutely perfect. Jenny & Lol we’re fantastic hosts - they had set up a lovely private room, which was decorated beautifully. We paid for a buffet which they provided and it was outstanding!. There was a wide variety and plenty of food which catered for everyone, Jenny & Lol even went above and beyond and catered for a celiac. A friendly, cosy pub perfect for special gatherings or occasions. Would 100 percent recommend! Thanks again Jenny & Lol. Sophie & Steve!

Went for our work night out and could not have been happier, we had the reserved seating upstairs which was lovely and private! The buffet they provided us was amazing and the cocktails even better, the staff that helped us out (grace, emily, kirsty, stacey) were so nice and even with it being super busy downstairs they didnt make us feel forgotten. Could not recommend more!!
