Arrived in St Monans to discover this was only place to get a coffee. Located in an industrial estate was very disappointed & overpriced for a takeaway coffee/tea.

Fabulous food (soup, toasted sandwiches and muffins) at a reasonable price. Great service from friendly owner. We went back again.

We arrived at St.Monans on the x60 bus from St.Andrew’s to do the coastal path walk to Pitenweem. 11 am and we hadn’t had breakfast and as we walked down towards the harbour we spotted the Muffin Man sign. Little wooden enclosed business park not industrial but tables and chairs and parasols outside in the yard. We ordered cheese and red onion toasties and they were oozing with cheese and were freshly made to order and big mugs of tea. Others came in and sat down and ordered various muffins which seems to be a speciality. We were delighted with this place as the last time we came to St.Monans on a Monday there was nothing. It fairly was a good start to our walk and next time we will try the muffins

We went here for a cup of tea as it is dog friendly. That was a big plus. However you can only seem to order via the screen opposite the counter and this was not easy with lots of people milling around. We found seats towards the back and the lighting was poor which was probably just as well as it felt slightly grubby. My husband wanted to use the toilet and said it was filthy and certainly the queue of people waiting to use the one toilet would not have allowed a clean. Overall not somewhere I would return to as a parent of a student.

Visited this lunchtime with service users. Food was ok although 2 of the baked potatoes were very small with hardly any filling, the 3 filled rolls all good, no complaints. The issue arose when it came to paying, quite disorganised. The gentleman became visibly stressed, struggled to find the price of most items. We needed individual receipts + as the till didn't print these, they needed to be hand written, he didn't know what to do + when he asked for help he was told "he's busy" + "I've not a clue, sorry", there was a woman standing close by who looked like she could've helped but didn't. I made eye contact a couple of times but she just let him muddle on through. I ended up saying to him to forget about the receipts and I would do them myself on return to work. He was so anxious, really felt for him. He needed support + didn't get any. Wasn't a pleasant experience. I've worked with adults with additional support needs for nearly 20 years + have an autistic stepson. I'm all for places like Sensoriale but please support the staff to be the best that they can be.
