We had a great room for a night on a stop over before travelling south. Meal was great and Hannah looked after our table brilliantly, very clean and friendly.

Lovely food, Hannah our server was fab. Very friendly and excellent service!

Staff were really friendly, let us check in early, Sunday roast was lovely 😍 lisa was amazing and her team were so good.

My Mum came to visit me from Chester and we chose the Mount for lunch. The barmaid was very friendly and very nice to talk to. The food was lovely and big portions. I personally will be visiting again very soon. Plus there was a sports room if you like a game of darts. Very pleasant afternoon thank you.

Just arrived back from the Mount Orrell been to the Mount for the last few weekends and been satisfied all round but l went today Monday with family when arriving surprised to find very few people in went to order our usual smothered sirloin steaks and was told no sirloin but we could have rump instead which as happend before and been ok after waiting for 30mins plus we got our meals the three steaks looked like they had been barbecued nothing like smothered steak no sauces when asked for sauce Diana or pepper corn l was told we don't have any two of the meals were not touched and we was offered free sweets will not be going there again

Great local pub with good selection of food and drinks. Had a meal off the lunch menu and was really nice. Team are really friendly always enjoy it here.

Me and my friends went for breakfast with easter bunny with our children. It was fab. Good food, great service and easter bunny was brill and joined in with the kids they loved it

Went tonight with the family, 6 adults 3 children. We was greeted by Hannah a nice polite woman and we all felt very welcomed. She sat us down and told us that we could either or order our food/drinks at the bar on the app, it easy to work after Hannah showed us how to do it. Food and drinks came quick and tasted great.

We normally go the the glass horse as I love the menu there I didn't realise its the dame chain as the mount. We visited today and ordered what we would normally order at the glass horse in St helens and by god the food here at the Mount is much better. They don't scrimp on anything. Fully loaded plate and a very full belly upon leaving. Very happy will be visiting more often. Friendly and very helpful staff. Thank you xx

Just had a great meal here. I had a Mix it up salmon with spicy rice and sweet potato fries, and Hubbie had Classic chicken New Yorker. Both meals lovely and hot and very tasty. Waitress LAURA was so friendly and couldn’t please us enough. Will definitely be back.

First visit for a while for a work lunch. Really rate the new lunch menu. Had the lamb kofta and it was super tasty and healthy.

Been a few times for food in the ladt few weeks and food has been spot on everytime , staff are really helpful one lady in particular her name was sarah, nothing too much trouble. For the prices too can't ask for much more.

Booked for 18 & 2 high chairs and was allocated the snug. A table of four was booked for someone else and there was no high chairs until we went for them. Tables organised in a way that nobody could walk around or see each other. We asked for the table of four for extra room which staff obliged - they wanted to swap the table of 4 for 2 table of 2’s but only one was brought. We were all supposed to eat but decided not to after being there.

Food is ok as far a microwave cheap pub meals go.

Good food, friendly staff, and daily deals. Found the app really useful to place an order and pay with, plus a bit easier than trying to remember what 5 people want when ordering at the bar.

First visit to this pub for a meal while visiting family in the area and was disappointed with the food. Ordered two meals at the bar with one being a plain cheese burger but it was not what we received. The kitchen failed to read the order correctly and presented the burger with all the trimmings and the other meal plain which was incorrect. Meal was replaced but found the food to be luke warm at best There was also a large table of eight opposite and they had problems with their order. Friendly staff and clean pub but will try somewhere else on next visit.

Visited here after recommendations from a friend of mine. Lovely building, very clean. Was greeted by the server behind the bar. She was lovely and friendly. Ordering was quick and easy and didn’t have to queue. Food came out within 20 minutes and was piping hot. We had the steak and ale pie and a chicken New York. Excellent value for money. All the staff seemed to be very friendly and helpful. We didn’t leave room for deserts but next time I’ll be trying the baked Alaska!

Went for tea with my family as my grandson was down to stay from Durham and loves The Mount. You could not fault the service from Tasha, she couldn’t do enough for us and the food was great. Will definitely be back in The Mount in the future. Thanks for a lovely time.

Staff made my order wrong, ordered a chocolate milkshake. They sent a chocolate frappe with no topping, I sent it back and they just put cream on top of it, they said that’s how they make it here, the manager made a new one which was a milkshake but no taste what so ever. She’s walking around and you can tell by her face she’s not happy, so I don’t want to ask her to sort it out again. She is very unapproachable. Avoid this place! On the other note the lady that served food is very pleasant.

Been here 2 or 3 times now, I use it for a contact place for my daughter to see her children, we normally have a meal and this time I did the full english breakfast. I cleared my plate just, but I was disappointed to find the cold plate pulling the heat away from my food

Came for Christmas day 3 of us...I must say we were very disappointed my mum's turkey was cold my nut roast had an hair in it roast potatoes were tasteless, was brought to the attention of staff who offered us a complimentary drink at the least I would have expected a refund on one of the meals.. saying that all the staff were excellent and attentive...

The current manager at this pub as at December 22nd, 2024 is a very horrible, rude and wicked boy that has no emphaty or problem solving skills and does not care about customers problem but to justify himself. He deserves to be sacked!! Horrible exprience with him just happened!

We had a lovely wedding anniversary meal tonight at The Mount,25 years ago we had our wedding reception at The Mount and still love going back .

Came for a family meal (14/12) with 2 children, 2 teenagers and 3 adults, the meals were a mixture of really very good and slightly poor quality. However, the girl who served us both at the bar and table was nothing short of an absolute credit to the business, she did introduce herself while sitting us but unfortunately I can't remember her name, as I'd have liked to bring this to the managers attention.

We went to The Mount today 09/12/24 and had the full Monty mixed grill which was priced at £9 on the Monday Special Menu instead of £13.99. Great value and well cooked !!

Large pub belonging to Hungry Horse. Beer is mainstream breweries with no independent ones which is a shame. Beer prices are a little high for the area. Food is standard fare, for a large chain pub, but is reasonably priced and has specials on most days with discounts. Last visit the pub was warm and clean. The only thing that is never clean is the menus, they are always sticky with the residue of previous guests. Staff are helpful and pleasant.

We stayed one night in the hotel very clean and tidy good value staff helpful no problem at all. We also had breakfast in the pub very enjoyable good service and good value for price. Thank you to the staff will use again.

We came for our yearly Christmas meal and everything was perfect! The table was ready for us and the staff were very friendly! Sarah helped us throughout and couldn’t do enough! All round a very amazing experience

Had breakfast, I don’t like mushrooms so asked without. Usually I’am able to get an extra piece of toast instead. Not this time… waiter charged me 99p for a piece of toast… come on guys!! A full loaf doesn’t cost more than £1.50… very greedy IMO 🤷‍♂️ heyho, there are other pubs around serving breakfast!!

The menu is mostly concentrated on pork. There was no proper service. We complained about the poor quality of the food, burnt items, and the rutted salad came with it. They just said that they were sorry. No replacement was offered.

Usual spot for lunch and breakfast with my partner. Very affordable option with very little drop in quality for what you're paying. The staff are always helpful and nice, Eleanor for example always goes the extra mile. Even when the restaurant is busy kitchen seems to keep food moving in and out seamlessly. Only critique is the music is in appropriately timed but adds a level of quirkiness to our visit.

I go to this place all the time with family and I've never had a bad experience. The food is always nice and the staff are always nice and helpfull. I big thankyou to Eleonar the member of staff that served us today.

If your thinking of coming here for dinner don't bother!! spend your money somewhere else. Food was shockingly awful, ordered a bacon cheese burger that actually came with no bacon and looked like those cheap nasty £2 burgers from farm foods, ordered a well done steak which came bloody, sausages looked pale and tasteless, was very disappointing. Never going back again :(

Restaurant/bar pub is nice, good breakfast, typical British atmosphere. Hotel room is in a building behind the restaurant. Reasonably spacious room, good bed, outdated bathroom. Carpet in the hallway may need to be replaced at some point. Friendly reception.

The mount in orrell. Took my partners for the curry night. We had been before . Which at one times the curry night, and the price was £8.00 or up grade for £10 with drinks. This time went for curry night and it was £8.00 and with drink. Then needed to buy extra,s which was £2.99 and you only get 1 onion bagie and a samara. The meal came it was there was 1 small spoon of rice and 2 spoons of curry in a bowl. The nana breads were not cooked properly. And we had to ask for parpdoms and the chutneys. I have a blue card and everytime I go there is a excuse that I don't get the discounts. The offer use to be good but the food as gone down hill. Which means that I will be looking for somewhere else to go for a meal . Plus there was bits of kids drinking alcohol

I come here for business meetings, the staff are friendly and very helpful. There is good quality WiFi and plenty of quiet places to sit with ample table and chairs to suit how many are in the meeting. It is clean and free parking on the premises.
