Fantastic little pub, slightly out of the way by Beverley Minster, offering lots of Real Ales. Worth a visit.

what a find on a random Thursday night for me, obviously a popular spot as only just got a seat at 7.30pm on a thursday and it’s just out of the centre of Beverley so took some finding, turns out it’s busier than any of the other pubs I past through the town centre, credit to them and all in making this a magical find, beer was spot on, I’ll be coming back here for sure, I had a pint of mojo and it was b-e-a-utiful

It was highly recommended to us from a lady from a dog shop, and it didn't disappoint it was lovely. Couldn't comment on food as we only had drinks.

A must-visit pub if you're a beer fan and visiting Beverley. A very good range of cask and craft/keg beers. Bags of character if you sit inside, but there's also a lovely beer garden.

Beautiful historic pub...we had a great Saturday afternoon in the beer garden..excellent choice of beers, great friendly and well organised service...Freshly baked pizza a nice surprise as well...Will definitely visit again

Had no food but my decaf coffee was very nice.

Lovely little gem near the Minster

Popped in early Thursday evening, just out on a casual walk with my dog. Amazed how big the place was in side, full of character and charm, The court yard which is very popular. Ample space. Great selection of beers. The staff were very polite, one of which began to give me insight into the history of the place, showing me the function room upstairs. Where they have live functions and bands throughout the year. A real delight to stumble across this, I want to go back, the menu looks devine, Sunday roast is on the cards. Great atmosphere, lovely clientele. Staff very informed and again very welcoming. I'll be back.

Highly recommend. Visit coincided with Folk Festival in town. Great atmosphere in the back area, great beer, fabulous staff and quick service at bar.

Good old fashioned, traditional pub. Five handpulled cask beers on when I visited : Brass Castle Brewery's Pacer Session Ale, Wensleydale Brewery's Falconer Session Bitter, Sharp's Brewery's Atlantic Pale Ale, Acorn Brewery's Old Moor Porter and Rudgate Valkyrie American Pale Ale. The Falconer was a good drop. They serve the dry roasted nuts here loose, in a pot and you get loads, more than in a packet. Would revisit.

Loads of drinks to choose from and bar snacks. Looks like a small pub from the outside but it's massive on the inside with lots of seating options and a beer garden.

Great ancient setting for a pub that has it all. Fab beer...amazing old buildings and decor ..live music & other events on during the week.A great outdoor seating area that hosts live music at weekends . A great place to explore.

Our local dog friendly pub we love it .The staff are amazing ,no blaring music no game machines just great company and ales and pizza in the summer .Lovely live music by local musicians

A great pub in the centre of Beverley, with friendly staff, great atmosphere and great selection of beers to choose from. Very welcoming and dog friendly. Would definitely recommend going, will be back!

This pub often has really good local beers eg The Bad Kitty (yummy)! The staff and locals are friendly. Would recommend but check opening times before setting off.

Great little pub, with loads of history, abit rustic in places but that is the charm, always. Beer/lager prices are a little high but thats the same all over - but its all good beer/lager from the likes of Madri to Praha, so no issues there. Haven't seen any ghost monks walking there yet, but there is time.

Great pub. Busy so couldn't sit around bar but plenty of space across the alley and up the stairs. Lovely selection of real ale on offer with plenty of keg beers too. G&T went down well too.

Sunday afternoon.. beer gardens full to capacity.. everyone with music and love in there Hearts ...Sun umbrellas and if it rains too. Awesome staff and total credit to Gill and family.

Really cool building, love the exposed beams and the old feel of it. Drinks were served in nice brand-correct glasses, was nice and quiet.

A lovely pub with a wealth of good cask ales and a charming olde wordy atmosphere

Historic pub split into at least two parts. I was in the front room where the cask ale is poured. Always looking for a new beer, I opted for the 6% IPA which was recommended by the knowledgeable bar staff. Such a friendly bar where good conversation is encouraged 👍🏽

Paid a visit here during The Beverley Folk Festival. What a fantastic atmosphere and wonderful beer as well, highly recommend it.

Went to see the Arcott Brothers. Brilliant....shame no Mike as difficult to hear from back. Enjoyed it.

The monks walk (formally known as the George and Dragon) was built in 1671. This historic pub has benefited from considerable investment and sympathetic restoration over the years. It has a cosy front bar, a separate room across the passageway with pool table and another larger room at the back of the pub. It sells a good range of hand pulled cask conditioned real ale and a variety of other beers. It's hosts live music, some excellent open mic acoustic Sunday afternoon sessions, with pizzas cooked in the outdoor pizza oven. There is a large outdoor beer garden in the courtyard. A great friendly community pub well worth visiting.

A warm welcome, friendly clientele, lovely landlady, wide range of beers etc. An old pub with bags of character.

This pub is so warm and friendly and the beer is (I'm told) excellent. It's a place to make new friends as well as meeting up with old friends. Visitors to the town love it as much as the regulars.

Cracking local, real ciders from Coleman’s Cider Co and none of that fruity pretend stuff. Nice bar with a front room and back room, the latter having an open fire.

An ancient pub but with modern charm. Music on a Sunday night from three excellent gentlemen playing folk in the front room. A very versatile space with outside dining when its warm.

Great pub, shame the bar has now separated the pub into 2 rooms. Weird chaotic system telling people to sit outside and they'll "get served quicker" than waiting at the bar.

Our favourite pub! Steeped in history and full of charm and always a warm welcome. Staff are warm and friendly and it's always easy to strike up a conversation with anyone who may be around especially if dogs are around!!

We had a couple of beers in the Monks Walk Inn, during the Jubilee Bank holiday Friday and it was a lovely, friendly, quaint old place. There was a large selection of drinks and a good atmosphere. The beer garden at the back was nice as well.

Great atmosphere around the pub. Lots of history. One minor gripe, ales sold there are authentic, but dear.
