The Mint Lounge in Bromsgrove

Always enjoy the food here and prefer to visit and eat in. Our American relatives said it was the best indian meal they had while in UK, so much so they went twice, once with us and then with other old friends. Friendly staff and really excellent food. it's a pity that Covid meant that they had to focus on takeaways because it is clean, comfortable, you can take your own drinks and you are made to feel welcome inside. If you like indian food this will take some beating.

I’m broke but it’s just too good

It’s the second time I’ve ordered this dish and both times the curry is very nice but the amount of meat in it is very disappoint.

keema rice was disgusting! very greasy and over cooked/sloppy. lamb curry was put in bin quality and quantity of meat was disgraceful. I seriously will never order from Mint Lounge again.. Very Very poor standard of food. Disappointed.

food was excellent! But asked to just be left in porch and texted a notification but delivery driver knocked letter box and spooked my dog.

Absolutely delicious definitely be having this again my kurma was delicious and husbands tandori mixed grill was fabulous and the mint sause was so fresh

it was a very quick delivery for a Friday night! The food was still hot and well packed. The food overall was very good, my only issue was with the tandoori chicken starter, it was a very skinny leg, with very little meat.

We have a Balti most weeks from mint lounge but this week it was absolutely tasteless, like watered down and without any herbs or spices at all, very disappointing, everything else was usual great quality but the main dish was just tasteless.

the food was excellent, we had to wait a little longer but the restaurant did message us to say that they were extremely busy. we will definitely order again

Only family in there.. 16 of us all served at the same time.. staff lovely, couldn't do enough for us..some dishes very nice, others disappointing, can take your own drinks, soft or alcoholic... really good price for such a large party.. very local so is a regular stop off point ..

I placed an order on delivery I had a chicken tikka massala and egg fried rice it was inedible the chicken was incredible chewy and was so bland and the rice was swimming in water

Not had a takeaway Curry in ages and decided to try Mint Lounge. I was not disappointed. It was delicious. perfectly cooked and delivery was quicker than expected!

The food was okay, the reason for the poor review is because of the staff dealing very badly with an incident! A waiter, not looking where he was going, backed into me and knocked me to the floor while we were being shown to our table. My husband had to help me to my feet, my ankle twisted and I got a very half hearted apology! No-one checked on me and I wasn’t even offered a complimentary popadom!

Normally have amazing food from here.. it come within a good time frame however the food was completely spoilt when we found something in the first bite of chicken … a piece of Sharp plastic? Maybe ever a bone? But it was thin and sharp. Didn’t eat any of the other food as appetite just disappeared after this. Quite sad.

Food was very oilu and greasy and they forgot my naan bread

The curry was impeccable. Hats off to the chef but 2 popadoms short and those there was not Cooked in the centre. The Mrs pilau rice was only half full

Tonight's delivery was a little late, but there is a lot going on with fireworks displays around Bromsgrove, so not to worry. It certainly won't stop me from ordering again. That would just be silly. Very early. Would not let me select anything other than 5 minutes early, but the food was actually half an hour early, piping hot and fully of ingredients.

The Mint Lounge is called The Mint Lounge because it's a mint lounge. They could've called it The Mint Mint Lounge, but consumers would've assumed the owner, Mr Trebor, had a stutter. Please try their food. It's Mint! Well, actually it's curry.

Absolutely no taste what so ever to the lamb balti, it was like a tomatoe and onion stew! No flavour to the sag aloo either. Missing items which was extremely frustrating. Definitely would not order from here again.

I HAVE HAD MEALS THERE OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS EAT IN NORMAL BUT NOW LEAVE TO FAR AWAY NOW SO HAD HOME DELIVERY ON FRIDAY 23RD THEY TOOK MY ORDER AT 10÷30 and it was 11 it arrived the balti i had was one the tasty balti i havve had over last 35 years I strongly advise to eat tried their you will thank me🥲

We came here to give the restaurant a go , as pass it all the time when at Aldi shopping , we glad we did ! It was lovely , staff friendly , food was good ,hot , good size potions , well presented , inside is very clean very relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended. Aswell its not over priced . Deffo be back again 👍

Best place for curry in Bromsgrove

Nobody inside. Also the fact they dont sell alcohol. Staff always great as is the food. They do more deliveries than eating in over the last few years which is a shame because it is nice inside.

I wouldn’t routinely review takeaways on here however Mint Lounge deserve to be praised for their consistently tasty food, great portion sizes and incredibly quick delivery. We typically order around 8:30 on a weekend and food usually arrives long before the estimated delivery time. Really fresh, full of flavour. We don’t order from anywhere else now.

I've not been to the Mint Lounge for a while but we were made very welcome this evening after booking last minute. The food was lovely, the staff were friendly and polite. Will definitely be back and won't leave it so long next time.

Went to the Mint Lounge with my partner for a meal last night, as the premises doesn't hold a alcohol licence I popped to Aldi and picked up a couole of bottles of wine to accompany our meal. We chose poppadoms with pickles, onion bhaji stater and prawn on puree starter, mains mixed tandoori grill and a chicken Jandani and wow the food was hiy, plentiful and so delicious! The only thing we would want changed is the stark decor, as it's very open, plain walls amd a bit dull if I am honest, however the food made up for this. We will come back soon and also try takeaway as we prefer the food to our previous Indian restaurant of choice in Bromsgrove. Thanks you!!

The food served at this restaurant was rather uninspiring if I am honest, the food although plentiful lacked flavours. We chose the Mint Lounge primarily as its a local Indian restaurant close to where we are currently staying. As with all Indian food you come to expect a high standard of food with freshly prepared ingredients, herbs and spices to give that authenticity and fusion on your palate. Can only rate as a mediocre eatery that requires decent chefs to give the required flavours to the food. Please note, this is my own personal opinion / critique of the food served at this establishment and not to misconstrued as defamation as its purely critique.

4 of us went to the Mint Lounge for the first time last night. What a wonderful experience right from walking through the door where we were warmly greeted and shown to a table. Great food at a great price with wonderful service. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Absolutely fantastic! Found my new place for takeaway and will certainly be visiting soon! The pathia needs a little more of kick though. Can this be heated up slightly on request? The prawn on puree is the absolute dogs danglies!

Ordered a korma said it was 'mild' it's very sweet and has no taste I called and they were sarcastic and rude to me on the phone AVOID!!!

I do love this place! I go as often as I can with family. Unfortunately, haven't been able to due to the pandemic. But I recently got my dad and step mom a table for valentine's Day, which they really enjoyed. Will be looking forward to going again soon!

Working on a shoestring doesn't work.. service was slow and the waiters didn't quite know what they where doing. No sweets available as the manager explained that he couldn't afford to have them available and not sell them.End of. Won't be going back. Sorry

My favourite Indian in the area! Good portion sizes & curries are always full of flavour. There are plenty of options for vegans too, & the staff are always really friendly & able to adapt dishes for you - in my case adding extra spice! Definitely recommend!

Amazing food they were very patient with us whilst we had a catch up and ordered food. Felt a bit pressured to leave as it got closer to 10am but no one else in restaurant so understandable they wanted to close up.

Keep clear. There are more restaurants who deliver food in this awful time of Covid than than this. Can honestly say that it's the worse food that I've ever had delivered. Cold, unappetising and utterly disgusting. Phoned the restaurant to complain and got short shrift. Not even an apology. Order at your own risk. You have been warned. All put in the bin!

Just ate or not our first take away and it was terrible. Congealed curry, small hard naan the type you can buy from the supermarket and dry oven chips. It was that bad I can’t think of anything good to say about it. Oh they did give us one popadum between two of us. £20 Only reason we had it was because our usual Anakarli is shut during lockdown. Best to be avoided

food is okay, curry tends to be watery. after having this a few times, there doesn't seem to be any improvement. for the price it is you'd expect to get at least a poppadom per person, instead we have to share 1 poppadom between 2

Ordered a takeaway expecting authentic Indian food and ended up with overpriced, dull food with very little to inspire me to order from here again. Go to Flavors around the corner instead.

Arrived 15 mins late with apology. Glad to have the additional poppadoms, mango chutney more like apricot jam, no sign of any chicken tikka that was expected, nevertheless the prawns at extra cost were very tasty. Sauce would have been improved if some mangoes had not all turned to slush, garlic & cream were indiscernible. Small onion salad included. Good quantity overall.

Me, My Dad & Uncle have visited the Mint Lounge twice during the EOTHO scheme and we are very impressed. The service is very good, we were greeted with a smile & the staff were very accommodating. The Mint Yoghurt is the best I've tasted, thick, creamy & ice cold, perfect for dipping crunchy Poppadoms! The starters & mains always come out piping hot & the Naan's are always fresh & fluffy. They will cater for all tastebuds, if you like your dish spicier or milder just ask & they will make it how you like it. Nice fat chips as well, no skinny fries here! Pure Quality! Reasonably priced with excellent customer service. The decor is light, airy and modern, although the tiled floor does take away the warmth any cosyness. Its quite echoey, but this is a minor! If your in Bromsgrove looking for a lovely curry then book The Laya! Keep up the good work guys!

The atmosphere is very cold. The food was swimming in oil and everything tasted the same. The Madras had no heat or taste. The rice was stodgy. Wouldnt go back.

Ordered last night and it was the blandest curry I’ve ever had .second time I’ve had one of yours and both have been very poor. Very thin watery sauce and little chicken . Get a microwave curry from Asda instead of theirs

We have had a takeaway tonight and will not be ordering there again no wonder the place always empty its not value for money and portion sizes well .our starter you could of thrown at the wall would of snapped into loads of bits

Just had a takeaway delivery and it was delicious. All three curries tasty and chicken really soft, nan breads and poppadoms were great. Will definitely be reordering oh and on time, they said it would take 1hr and it did. Well done!

Service was great, waiters very good,food ok but lacking something,when you order a particular meal you always expect to get variations but mine was nothing like i was expecting, As an unlicensed restaurant you would expect the pricing to be more competitive but i dont think it is,what did get to me was my wife was of the same opinion ,overall it was ok but not one of my top picks.

We had a very nice dinner. Papadums are excellent. The quality of the dinner was certainly good. We enjoyed!
