Fab place with a few good craft beers on tap. The upstairs has an outside area overlooking the canal, then you can go downstairs to a bigger area inside & another area overlooking the canal. Fab place. Staff friendly, didn't have any food

Hopped in here this evening with my long suffering wife for our friend Wendy’s big birthday Sinead was playing the acoustic guitar at the venue and she was an excellent performer and very talented Brilliant venue for a big birthday bash Happy birthday, Wendy And thank you for a lovely evening. Popped in for a few drinks after a day out in Royal Leamington Spa before getting the train back to London. Good selection of beers and a great beer garden right by the river.

What a jewel of a pub! The pub looked nothing from the outside, but the place was like a tardis, once you went through the doorway to the stairs, down you go then as you walk through you see the canal and then a garden courtyard with vines overhead. For me the only disappointment was no draft ale's? Ok the craft beer which was gluten free tasted really good. The barman was brilliant, friendly and always making sure we were happy. So my question to myself again would I go back? For me it is difficult as no ales but as it was a great place to go I most probably would go again.

Absolutely fantastic place for a casual drink. Great service, quality music and good choice of drinks - topped off with an incredible beer garden round the back by the canal. 10/10

Great atmosphere and one of the few nice outdoor backyard seatings in Leamington, located by a huge tree by the canal. Lovely on a warm summer evening! The service is also very nice!

The fridge door still makes me smile every time I see it. Good little pub now managed by the pub boys. We'll worth a visit.

Great little location with both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was great. I would like to see some more drinks choices on tap when I return in the future and also look forward to trying some of the food.

Nice little pub along the pug crawl chain. Extra seating downstairs (through the fridge) which led to a garden area outside. Quiet little quirky place. Barman was friendly. Worth a visit ❤️

I would have given it 5 stars, but the toilet facilities are pretty poor. Expect to queue if you need to spend a penny

The kitchen takeovers are amazing and they have different craft beers every week. Definitely a hidden gem.

One of the best pubs in Leamington

Literally blasted the loudest country music downstairs the entire time. Could not even hear each other talk. Used to have the best music but this was unbearable we had to leave so early -wouldn't return. Asked if it could be slightly turned down and still was so loud. Honestly the music makes it impossible to go to.

I much preferred it as Procaffeinate. The Micro Pug is the closest pub to me but it's limited range of £5+ pints and quiet atmosphere don't interest me all that much. A manager ought to show staff how to poor a Guinness too (not trying to be a prude, I promise). An alright place for a quiet 1 or 2 in a small group but otherwise I wouldn't recommend. A shame too! I love the Royal Pug and Black Pug.

A cute cafe/bar overlooking the river Leam. There's plenty of outdoor seating and a hidden bar section. Is great for a quality coffee, brunch or evening drinks. The staff are friendly and it's reasonably priced. It's also possible to hire out as a bar.

Good value &tasty food in nice surroundings

It was , such a discovery, back terrace with river views..! The Door to the loo is through a fridge door..🤷🤣, and a large etcétera.. ! Dont missit. And the prices are realy good for its cuallity.. it does worth the visit.. believe me...!!

Used to go here all the time when it was ape hangers. Lovely to go ahead. The pop up restaurants are a great idea and the bar staff are excellent

Rude staff! Do not come here. My friend and I came here to study as I had come here a couple times before. We sat down and the lady came to ask what we’d like to eat or drink… we said we’d order in a minute or two as we were still deciding. I ordered a tea but my friend was feeling ill so didn’t order anything. 5 minutes later she comes back forcing my friend to order something, bearing in mind she’s packing her stuff to leave as she started feeling more ill. My friend replied that she was leaving anyway and the staff rudely remarked, “Well that’s fantastic! You would leave wouldn’t you!” Which made my friend feel even worse and continued to lecture about the struggles of running a small business. To add to this, the other table across had only ordered one drink and she had not said anything to them. I don’t want to make this race related but me and my friend were of ethnic minority and the other table were white British. Truly truly disappointed.

A really lovely little place. As a warning it's quite small, but it's worth waiting around a little if you want a seat. The staff are great and it has a cool vibe.

This review was for Procaffeinate - Simple menu of brunch items, complimented with a specials board. Comfortable seating (with an outdoor area). Staff were helpful and friendly. Great place to eat before/after a little walk down the canal to look at the amazing graffitti art.

November 2023. Procaffinate cafe has become The Micro Pug bar. Nice enough little bar South of the town. I'd like to see cake or similar, but they are just getting going on this site.

Nice little cafe - there was no food as the kitchen is out of action. This is the rough end of town so best to park as close to the place as possible. Very nice inside with a cosy little terrace which would be perfect on a hot day.

Cleanliness of equipments - questionable

I've tried it a few times and didn't get lucky, although some friends have always highly recommended the place. Drinks are good and food is normal, but I had issues with my order being late more than once (3 out of 4 times I've been there). Although the food has arrived in a reasonable time, it took 30 min or more to get my coffee and we had finish eating by the time we had our coffees (after complaining about the delay). Definitely keep an eye on timing when ordering anything. One time they did give us a free coffee (voucher) due to the delay, but still, that doesn't justify it.

Absolutely love this place, I have been here for coffee in the day and also rented the basement bar out for an event and everything was perfect. The bar below the coffee shop is beautiful, such a dreamy little venue and the service was just second to none. Can't thank the people who helped me organise this enough - I'd never done anything like it before and I was probably a pain in their butt, but they made everything so beautiful and easy. Thank you!!

My partner ordered our coffees here, and as I have a dairy allergy, he is always very particular when ordering with alternative milk. Coffees arrived, and he received a babycino instead of a cappuccino, and mine was made with cows milk. Luckily, I only took a sip. However, when we addressed the waiter about this, he made it out to be our fault that my partner hadn't made it clear I was allergic. I haven't had to state this anywhere before because I've received what was ordered. If I order a drink with oat or coconut milk, etc, I expect to receive it. We both found him very rude, then he passed the buck over to another colleague to make fresh coffees and bring them out to us.

Excellent service, polite staff, lovely menu, great little place lovely views of the canal at the rear of the building,

came here with my wife and 2 young daughters. After more than half an hour had to ask about what had happened with my food only to find out they had completely forgotten my order to then been told with a very poor apology that they were not serving food anymore… this place is run in a very disorganised manner by what appear to be teenagers. Sad cause it was a great place before.

stayed in a little cottage nearby and found this place recommended so we called in the morning for brunch. We shared the pro beans & the skillet eggs and both were delicious! best cheesy beans on toast I’ve ever eaten and the skillet eggs were thick, soft (yolks) & sourdough toast was perfectly crunchy and tasty. coffees were also nice and the staff were lovely and friendly. we sat outside in the garden area and enjoyed the sunshine as we ate. definitely recommend if you’re ever in the area! Yum!!

We hired out Procaffeinate for a birthday party. Staff were great in helping organising and during the evening itself. We ordered a buffet of pizzas and other finger food and everything was really tasty and ample portions which our guests really enjoyed. Great venue with great service.

Really cool coffee shop with the joy of serving alcohol as well! A fantastic downstairs area which would be amazing if it was open late at night! A shame and perhaps something they should consider if they can. Lovely staff and a great back balcony and yard that is bathed in sunshine whilst the sun sets overlooking the canal.

I don't know how to start, whether it's the wonderful food, or the service, employees give such a happy vibe, so breakfast at home, the wonderful coffee, the cake, breakfast, without explaining how lovely I felt, eating and being in this cafe! really my number one. really in love

Cute little cafe, clean and staff are lovely. I ordered bacon and avocado waffle and grapefruit tea. It was good, but the portions were a bit small and for me the price was too high for what I received. Close to the railway station.

Hosted a private event in their downstairs bar and WOW it was incredible! A huge shoutout to Kiera who was super helpful and accommodating the whole time. Their cake was so good, excellent selection of drinks, and everyone has been raving about the buffet-style food since. I would 10/10 recommend this venue!!! Their prices were really reasonable and the staff were so kind and just the best you could wish for. We had 45 people for an alternative sports club ball and it was just perfect. A really sociable environment and loved by everyone. I’ve had rave reviews from everyone that came to the event!!

We had a very nice weekend breakfast here, it was busier than expected with most tables booked ( best to book before you go) the food and service were excellent.

Visited with my friend for tea and cake. No seats available upstairs so went downstairs. The only table available had used cups and saucers on so instead of removing them the waiter just pushed them to the other side of the table! The place appeared grubby. Dust everywhere and large mirror needed a good clean. And finally next to our table was a young lady with a small dog which continually yapped in a high pitched tone. ( I love dogs but there is a time and place). Sorry I will not be returning.

What a delightful place! The food was delicious I definitely recommend the full English. A great surprise to open the “fridge door” and find a beautiful seating area downstairs with a pretty garden. The staff are so friendly and loved our dog they even have blankets so your dog is comfortable on the floor!! They gave her lots of attention and treats. When we visit Leamington again this will be at the top of our list to eat at.

Well, what a little gem of a place this is. The access to the extra seating is via a fridge door. Really. Lovely food (other than the sun-dried tomatoes) and great staff. Highly recommended.

Absolutely terrible, i paid £14 for 2 sandwiches 1 being £8 alone for sausage and bacon, it came with one sausage split in half, asked for sauce didn’t get it on either, the salad was the best thing on it although i’ve never known it on a breakfast sandwich, extortion at its finest

Oh I just love their food and the ambience is great. I use this place for WFH purpose when you get bored working on the same desk.

I live 2 minutes away from this café and tried the cakes twice. They were always hard like cardboard and lacked flavour. Definitely more than 2 days old. Will never be returning back.

Warm as welcoming experience. The staff are so lovely and friendly! Both Keira and Shannon went out of their way to make sure me and my friend and her little baby were comfortable and happy with our order! Felt very relaxed and will definitely be looking forward to coming back again! Thank you x

Pro cafe is the best place to spent time with your loved once with variety of drinks and breakfast option I liked there veggie option u can have eggs and vegan sausages mushrooms potatoes toast a balanced breakfast if u not too much meat person. They also have sandwiches, waffles🧇pancakes🥞, flatbreads and bagels🥯 too.. fridge door entrance takes you down for there indoor and outdoor sitting options. So Just go sit have your drinks and enjoy the place 😉😉

Food was great..service excellent will go again

I ordered just a latte to spend time with my book in the basement and the ambiance and setting of the entire Cafe was so sweet. There's a bar downstairs and cafe upstairs. I saw people studying and having lunch business meetings so it's a great place to connect.

No napkin with my caramel shortbread, which itself was skinny and broken. It looked like it had been thrown at a wall. On the upside, the coffee was nice and came with a Lotus Biscoff biscuit.

This is one of the best cafes in Leamington. The coffee and food is delicious and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It's my home from home for days working out of office. The lovely garden and downstairs area are both an added bonus.

I have visited procaffinate on multiple occasions and it is a lovely dog friendly cafe with great food. However, the standard of their drinks is unpredictable. After having to pay almost £4 for an oat flat white, it is disappointing to receive oat milk that is curdled and odd tasting (like soap almost).

A fantastic cafe area up top and a more private area downstairs for private functions. The atmosphere and service here is second to none and the drinks and cakes are delicious. They have a selection of gluten free and vegan options available too. They have gluten free barista oat milk and assortment of gluten free syrup, which is much appreciated. I can't recommend this place enough for dine in or take out, at a very reasonable price too.

We booked a table and we walked in and all the staff were on their phones. I got them mixed up with customers. We ordered a meal for two. My order was completely different and my partner’s food was cold. There was no check back and one of the staff asked if we were satisfied, and I mentioned the problems we had. Their response “oh sorry we have a new chef” I was deeply annoyed and upset, as I have been here before and had a good experience. Won’t be coming back.

Brilliant food, stunning ice teas and the best service in town. Felt so welcomed and they were absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous place, staff were inviting, and gave great service, we sat outside on a lovely little terrace, we had a ham and cheese toasty, and a veggie toasty with scrambled eggs, halloumi, and mushroom, both were delicious, the service was second to none, the waitress even bought out a bowl of water for our dog

We came here for breakfast on Friday, staff were absolutely fantastic, I think she was the manager but she could not do enough for us. Dealing with my fussy breakfast order with no qualms whatsoever, then we had to rush off to catch a train and she didn't hesitate to get our food wrapped up for us, the service and really make or break a meal and we had a great experience, also not forget the food was brill too! Can't wait to return.

I've been to Procaffeinate a good few times over three years. Every time I've been there I've gotten the vegan breakfast. It would come out in a huge bowl PACKED with food. It had fresh avocado, 4 sausages, so many beans, mushrooms, toast and loads of hash browns. I couldn't ever finish it. And it all tasted amazing! I went last week really looking forward to it as it has a beautiful balcony and the weather was stunning. I ordered the vegan breakfast again and couldn't wait! A plate came out with two sausages, greasy button mushrooms, tomatoes, warm bread instead of toast, cheap potato tots, beans and slimy uncooked, unseasoned, cold tofu. Still at the same cost of £10!!!! I don't know what has happened since the last time I've been there but it's gone down hill massively!! Like why change something that was super good? Very disappointing.

Gave this place a chance twice, both times staff were exceptionally rude and acted as if it was an inconvenience to seat and serve us. Coffee was average, much better spots in Leamington to support.

No children's menu. I wanted to give this place 5 stars as the venue and food is great. However, I went for breakfast with our 3yr old and 6yr old and they do not have a kid's menu. I asked the staff if they could do a half portion eg for the pancakes and despite my asking a few times they said it was not possible and were not really interested when I asked them if they could highlight this to the owner. Such a shame as everything else was excellent!

Easily one of the best places to get coffee in Leamington, especially if you're more in the South. The coffee is amazing quality and such an array to choose from! Great value for money (especially if you pick one of the many tea options available - pink grapefruit is one I would recommend) and the food was also a nice surprise. I enjoyed the salmon and cream cheese bagel, and the quality of the ingredients were just stunning. The smoked salmon was fresh, and such good value! What really makes this place so fantastic is the service which is just faultless. I love coming here! Will miss it awfully when I move at the end of the year.

I asked the waitress if I could sit downstairs and received a huff, an eye roll and a no. I then made the mistake of sitting on a table with plates still on it and got some very angry remarks and told to move! I'm sure she was just having a bad day but it did taint the experience slightly!
