One of the better spoons for food

Never ordered. No steak on the menu. It's a big burger bar with no atmosphere. It could have been good, but so bad. I guess that is what happens when you only focus on cheap beer.

No tengo ni idea de por qué como era una cerveza tengo regularmente y no se supone que lo haga. Solo puedo adivinar que el vaso había sido lavado con vasos de whisky y no muy bien enjuagado pero solo puedo especular. I indulged in my favorite ultimate burger with chips and onion rings at the Wetherspoon pub on Baker Street, a spot I highly recommend. I celebrated International Women's Day on March 8th at the CAMRA's Spring Beer Festival, which runs from March 5th to 16th. On this special day, I savored the delightful Cherry Nice beer, a brew crafted exclusively by women.

This whetherspons is massive! A lot of space, fast service, reasonable prices!

Great spot, it's a Wetherspoons filled with knowledgeable bar staff. Manager popped over for a chat, knew his stuff. It's the reason why the cask ale is so good here. We visited during their Spring 2025 cask ale festival and the selection was outstanding.

Love this place. Good was super fast. Service was the best we received during our 2 week stay in London. We go home tomorrow and are going over to this awesome pub for our last meal here.

Massive bar, very busy considering the size of the place. The food was good, portions were very decent, prices good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It is a very large pub where there are people of all ages. You can purchase and sip a hot drink and still refill your cup for free. The beer and food are good, the service fast. The menu is extensive, the cost is lower than average.

The situation is perfect, close to baker Street station.

Ordered 4 large breakfasts and paid via the app. Food arrived with no fried eggs, they advertise 2 fried eggs with the breakfast. Instead of eggs there were an extra 3 hash browns. The staff did not mention anything nor offer any apology. When I asked where the eggs were, they said they had had no eggs for 2 days. If I had been told when ordering, I would have gone elsewhere. Appalling customer service that I can't be told that what I ordered is not available and am expected to accept something completely different as a substitute.

A good place to have a pint before going home.

A great Spoons. Visiting the inside is reason enough but the standard Spoons drinks and food inside as well. Zone 1 prices.

Busy 'Spoons pub Visited on a Monday evening about 6pm and pleasantly surprised at how busy it was and the prices. We know 'Spoons are cheap but thought London prices may be in operation, but no. Pints of food beer from £2.80ish We had just paid £6+for a pint across the road in a place with far less atmosphere Would definitely go again

Went in for breakfast, the young lady who took my order was excellent. Gave my table number and waited, after a short while a male member of staff wandered by muttering my table number without looking at the actual number on the table. Before I could say anything he disappeared. After waiting 15 minutes I asked the lady who served me, how long would my breakfast be. Oh she said, off to the kitchen she went and appeared shortly after with an apology and my luke warm breakfast which wasn't the best. As I was eating the same chap wandered past with two large breakfasts, looking around he found a table next to me which was and had never been occupied whilst I was there. He looked up and down then placed the plates on the vacant table. Five minutes later he came back and took the plates presumably to the people whose order it was. Ok the place is huge with many tables but surely they could be more organised when delivering the food. Just to add this was early and the place wasn't that busy so no excuses.

Always clean and always good service. Got there just after midday and it was briskly busy but had no trouble finding a seat. Ordered first drink at the bar - which had a fuller selection than on the menu - then ordered food and drinks via the app. Great idea that app! Food and drink came quick and was very good. One of the best Wetherspoons.

We came here to try some of the ale's in Wetherspoon beer festival. It's a well managed Wetherspoons that has a very attentive friendly manager. It's next to Baker Street station which makes it very easy to find

Had a brilliant visit to the Metropolitan Bar – it’s everything you want from a good pub! The food was tasty, well-priced, and arrived quickly, and the drinks selection was fantastic, with plenty of choices on tap and some great deals. The staff were friendly and efficient, keeping everything running smoothly even during busy times. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable, making it a great spot to relax with friends or enjoy a meal. The pub was clean, well-maintained, and had plenty of seating. For the price, quality, and experience, you really can’t go wrong. Will definitely be back soon! Plus the blonde girl is really good looking

I always enjoy a visit to Wetherspoons – you know exactly what you’re getting, and it never disappoints. The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for food and drinks, making it one of the best value-for-money pubs around. This one was extra special. The menu had a great selection, from classic pub grub to lighter bites, and the quality is surprisingly good for the price. Whether it’s a full English breakfast, a curry club special, or just a few pints with friends, there’s always something to suit the occasion. The drinks selection is also impressive, with a great range of real ales, lagers, spirits, and cocktails, often cheaper than anywhere else in town especially in London Would 100 percent come back amazing staff and service. Impresionante interior, personal amable y un servicio rápido, sin embargo decepcionado masivamente por un desayuno frío servido cocinado , luego una vez devuelto ha sido claramente microondas hasta el punto donde las judías eran crujientes ! ! Supongo que por 5 libras: 99 en Londres no se puede esperar mucho , las recargas gratuitas por £ 1 : 71 compensó ligeramente la decepción general de este lugar.

After an amazing visit to Madame Tussaud’s, my friends and I decided to stop by this pub. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were well-made, and the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. The service was quick, and despite being busy, the team made sure we were well looked after. We had such a great time that we ended up staying longer than planned! If you're looking for a great place to relax with friends, enjoy good food, and experience top-notch service, this pub is a must-visit. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!

We just came here for a couple of drinks on a busy Saturday afternoon. There's lot's of seating, and the pub had a nice feel. The service was really quick, either ordering at the bar or on the app.

Good example of Wetherspoons in Central London. It does a wide variety of beers serves the usual Wetherspoons menus. Accessible, as it is built over Baker Street Underground Station, it is a large drinking hall able to cope with groups of all sizes, usual Wetherspoons menus. A good place to meet with friends if they are coming from many different areas of London because of the transport access. Also historic as it used to be a restaurant dining room in Chiltern Court (the building above the bar and station). Building commenced in 1911 for the Metropolitan Railway Company to create it's HQ. The restaurant opened in 1929, it features in "Metroland" the John Betjeman TV programme and then became the London Transport recruitment centre before becoming the pub.

You know what to expect with a Wetherspoons. A good selection of hard and soft drinks and filling food. The prices are very reasonable for central Lobdon. It's quite a large, popular venue, so it's not the place for a quiet drink. I used the app to order drinks and i was served within 4 minutes - excellent service.

It's great. It's a Wethspoons. Good beer, good value, but some people with highbrow expectations just don't get it. Their loss.

Overall, fantastic. Even when we had an issue with a dish, they offered us the choice of either a direct replacement or a similar dish. 10/10 for everything here.

We have visited London many times and had not come across this restaurant until now, it will definitely be one of our favorites. We ordered the traditional breakfast and it was fabulous, the coffee is refillable and quite good, we will definitely visit again.

Just visited the Metropolitan Bar near the Sherlock Holmes museum and had the grrayest experience. 3 [not really] small plates for £18 deal was such a bargain! The 10-piece chicken wings, halloumi fries, and chicken strips were all cooked to perfection and ideal for sharing. To top it off, we had the largest Baby Guinness I’ve ever seen in London, double what you get in other places. The combination of affordable prices, excellent food, and a wide selection of drinks makes this bar a real gem.

Pub from the Wetherspoon chain that offers a very varied menu of food and drinks at good prices. It has everything from English breakfast to lunch and dinner with both typical British and international food. The beer menu is very extensive, and often has offers on drinks and food. The burger was overcooked and the bun was overly toasted, but the waiters were friendly and the beer was well drafted. The place is very large and is set in the metro stop that is next door.

Thank you, God, for the miracle called Witherspoons. Fantastic selection of cask real ales plus a huge selection of other beers. More than acceptable prices, especially considering the London location. Seconds walk from Baker Street underground station, which is another bonus. Highly recommended.

It's ok for cheap food and drink. I ordered my breakfast at 10am and it didn't arrive until 10.25am, and I wasn't busy at all. Apart from that it was good.

La pequeña entrada es la definición de entrar en una TARDIS y la enorme sala interna se extiende sobre la parte superior de la estación. Pero con Thornbridge Jaipur y Titanic Plum Porter junto con interesantes ofertas de Portobello Brewery, Twickenham Fine Ales y Sambrooks, la alineación no era demasiado mala. Y el Titanic Plum Porter a menos de 4 libras. 50 no debe ser olfateada en el noroeste 1. Mi colega también comentó que es uno de los favoritos los fines de semana para los aficionados de fútbol de fuera de la ciudad cuando su equipo está jugando un club de Londres, y se ve invadido por tuits elegantes (su descripción no es la mía) en el cierre de juego en un partido de prueba de lores debido a su distancia relativamente corta de la calle Johns Wood. Nada de eso para mí en una relajante tarde martes a la hora del almuerzo cuando experimentamos niveles de servicio decentes (buen énfasis en limpiar la mesa y limpiar como se dijo) y el Portero de ciruela era muy bueno, y la decoración es muy agradable de mirar mientras lo bebe.

Ordered a pint on the app, which does not arrive after 15 minutes. Show receipt to bartender who does not believe I have not had the pint. After back and forth I finally receive it. Truly appalling service

This place is much bigger on the inside than you can imagine. It's plenty of space and a nice place for a conversation plus the added benefit of jumping on the train from meters away and getting back home. Good for a quick drink too

Warm beer without bubbles and watered Aperol that tastes like nothing. Disappointing

Just wow, this Wetherspoons has upgraded their coffee machines. The difference in the standard of coffee is amazing. Just like a latte in Rome. And EXCELLENT value at £1.56!!

We stopped by The Metropolitan Bar for breakfast as our first stop in London, aiming to try a traditional English breakfast before embarking on a long walk around the city's iconic landmarks. My travel philosophy is "When in Rome, do as the Romans do," and this place embodies that saying perfectly, as we seemed to be the only tourists in the restaurant. The service was very friendly and attentive, despite the language barrier, with the staff making sure we had everything we needed. The bathrooms were clean and spacious, which is much appreciated when travelling. Highly recommended for all tourists visiting London!
