Large Wetherspoons, interesting architecturally inside. Handy for a stop if you are waiting for a train as lots of 2 person seats. Usually a good selection of real ales, usual Spoons menu. Staff seem fairly friendly and efficient in here.

The handsome fella behind the bar Kye poured a perfect pint of San Miguel. he was super friendly and very pleasing to look at loved the service and will definitely be coming back to admire his muscles.

A nice Weatherspoons with toilets not far away too!

Far too small portions. I probably ordered the wrong thing but the chicken in the “Chicken Alfredo” wasn’t there. The price is not as cheap as you might think. For the same price you get a lot more quality in every restaurant. A disappointment for me personally. PS: I'm aware that it's not supposed to be a high-class restaurant, but still, I could have gone straight to McDonald's.

Great Wetherspoons. If you're not from London, like me, prices can be very overwhelming for average food and drink. Here, I paid £12.50 for a double burger, chips and an alcoholic drink. The drink alone anywhere else would probably be about £8. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The food was very decent. People are very quick to knock Wetherspoons but this is a delightful pub in a busy part of town.

Ok, but not great. Ordered using the qr code, probably would have been quicker to order at the bar. Coffee was "out of stock". Food was disappointingly lukewarm. Had the strawberry daiquiri cocktail which was sickly strong - tasted like too much syrup put in and I had to leave half of it. Shame as we've been to many wetherspoons to eat in, in different parts of the uk and usually have no complaints, but this one fell far short on this occasion

Great selection of drinks. They have most things surprisingly good selection and great prices for London. Super busy on Friday afternoons . Good vibe. Food is fast and good value.

Lovely place , ordered drinks with some lunch and was very disappointed with the chicken wings I ordered. The wings were way to small and I took them back to the bar and showed the bar tender. He said he will go the the kitchen and ask. He came back and told me that it is what it is.

Good food, good beer and decent service by friendly staff.I went on a Wednesday evening and was surprised it wasn't very busy.The quick service was a pleasant surprise as usually the volume of customers mean you have to be prepared for long waits at Weatherspoons.

Food was ok. Portions not great. Ordered on the app. Drinks came almost immediately and food followed soon after. It was as expected but not very much of it. We then used the app to order 3 desserts. After waiting for 20 minutes, we asked a member of staff who was most uninterested. We asked again 10 minutes later and she was very rude. They eventually arrived after 35 minutes. They were not worth the wait. Such a shame as all other member of staff were lovely.

girls please watch out! my friend got spiked in this bar last night!

My friend got spiked there Last night by someone from the staff. She went by herself and ordered 1.5 beers in total, does not remember anything , is bruised, someone robbed/attacked her most likely Cause she does not have her phone and she is currently in the hospital. We will be going to the Police whenever she feels capable because we want to find out what happened and we will do our best to find out who is accountable for this. This issue needs to be treated seriously and will be escalated. If you are a woman DO NOT GO to this bar ALONE.

Great bargain prices and decent quality

Excellent place. Visited late (10) and stayed till midnight. All other pubs too crowded due to football on Tv. Place was busy but it's so huge it was easy to find a seat. Nice customers and got served instantly each time. Lovely decor. Class place.

The damn food stops serving at 11 (fair enough) but we didnt get any. Drinks were fairly priced for London (of course it is whetherspoons). Service was mid but who cares. The old men were creepy but they kind of left me alone so it's fine.

Don't get me wrong, this is the first time I went to this Wetherspoons, and the food, drink, and atmosphere are great. The pub is massive, and it feels that there is a lot of history here. Not to mention the fact that it's near the Beatles and Sherlock Holmes museum. The only problem I had was the Wi-Fi connection. It's seems pretty slow, and I was having difficulty using the app to order the food and drink. This is the reason why I couldn't give a five-star rating. Sorry guys and gals, I know you're doing your best here.

Noisy place a big hall with a load of seating and a large bar been to better weather spoons ordered a chicken jalfraisy and a drink. First of all my knife and fork were dirty uncleaned and second my nan bread was solid as a rock the rest of it tasted like a microwave curry from tesco and also the men's toilet was blocked up full of poo and tissues not a great experience for my first impression plus the drinks are double the prices of some weatherspoons

Very lively - a bit too lively with a couple of delinquent mothers and uncontrolled brood, but it's all part of life's rich tapestry... 😈

I use it often. Although it's a cheap pub, the food is delicious! I guess it can't be helped that it's noisy.

It’s a Spoons, innit? Say what you will about them, the beer is well kept and cheaper than anywhere else in town, the service is fast and the food is ok for the price.

For a spoons, it's as good as it gets. Good was held decent, staff were helpful there was a relaxed buzz atmosphere. Get what you pay for

I just went in for a couple of pints. Didn't eat. It was reasonably quiet and the football was on the TV.

Omg arrived today in London for a fantastic weekend lots planned ,coming out the tube station heading towards spoons my dr marten sandals broke so when ordering two wines for me and my husband I asked a very random question do you have any string or hairbands I've got a broken shoe and the girl serving me said wait here I will see if I have some hairbands , life saver as we are here for three days and one pair of shoes absolutely amazing 👏 thankyou so much for helping me out! lovely member of staff you have I didn't catch her name but thanks again .

Classic spoons, rapid and friendly service and perfect location next to Baker street underground. Was a welcome watering hole after getting back from concert at Wembley

Came here every morning during a three day stay in Baker Street area for the full English brekkie and the free coffee refills. Great service, friendly staff and a good fry up. Conveniently located and really clean and tidy.

It's Wetherspoons, the Asda of Pubs, so don't expect too much! Table service is fast and reasonable priced drinks but the food was not good. Children sized portions and poor quality burgers. Atmosphere is a bit stale. Ok for on the way to Wembley but not a night out.

Fairly standard Spoons with a massive eating area hall, plus a few other nooks and crannies for seating. For its location drinks prices are outstanding, no doubt one of the reasons it's so popular. When we visited in June 2024 the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the food too.

The Wetherspoons contained a large array of seating options (depending on your party size). There is a lift for those who cannot take the stairs to get up to the dining area. The staff were friendly and nothing less than helpful. The food came out 20 minutes after we’d ordered, which is a reasonable wait considering the amount of people in there. The price you pay for the food at any weatherspoons is always good for the amount of food you receive. The location is easy to find and not hidden away.

Great Wetherspoons with plenty seating

I've been here many times before when in the area, and it never lets me down. Ordered off the app (something which I don't usually do!) and was amazed at how quick the service was. The drinks arrived in five minutes , and the food followed 10 minutes later. My son had the double American burger and chips, which he said was delicious. I had the boneless chicken basket, which was absolutely lovely. All in all, a good visit!!!

Great place to go with friends. Pretty noisy as Wetherspoons often are. Can't beat them on value for money though.

Had a traditional breakfast here on a Sunday morning. Too notch. Lots of coats of arms on the ceiling. Must do some research before I go there again!

Decent amount of seats. The staff were ok, the bar man was a bit rude. Food was nice. Cocktails are not that great. Toilets are quite a walk away but nice and spacious.

Needed to change my opinion- tonight I literally saw a guy abuse a woman in front of the security at this pub, right at the entrance. She was seeking help and he pretended not to see her while the guy was manhandling her. Customers ended up helping. If you’re a woman - don’t go into this hole in the wall, cause security won’t help you. Never seen this security guy here before, usual security gents are great but what I saw tonight is beyond my imagination. I’m willing to provide the description or identify this horrible human being if the Wetherspoon actually takes action, but I’m quite sure they won’t. To all women - beware!

I often go to 'Spoons when in London, for a cheeky meal of fish & chips, and a pint. Still good value at approx £13 in 2024. Great service & a really nice atmosphere - pub has large cosy booths, and lots of Metropolitan line memorabilia, given location by Baker Street station (one of the oldest in London). Recommended.

Value for money. Remember to try their curry - most reliable choice.

Just what I wanted at that moment

Had a little get together at the Metropolitan Bar.. it was nice and conducive, we had a great time, took nice pictures, ordered drinks (alcohol and non alcoholic) and food, (chicken chips etc.). The restroom is clean and well maintained and conducive. The bar was crowded, but I think it was due to the fact that it was the beginning of the weekend.

OK pub. Went on cup final day. Both sets of fans allowed in so naturally pub was very boisterous. Beer OK

Went to this weatherspoons one Friday evening it was very busy but we managed to get a table.we ordered our drinks on the app and they arrived pretty quickly and the waitress was very friendly.I know this is London but very expensive compared to our local spoons,Over £3 a pint extra.🙈

Belated review for visit on Sunday 19th May. Have been to this Wetherspoons many times in the past. First time I've reviewed. A good sized branch right next to Baker Street Station and not too far from Madame Tussauds. This this branch usually attracts a large tourist and football crowd. Although the pub was not too busy during this visit. I ordered the 11" Ham and Mushroom Pizza and a pint of Strongbow Dark Fruits. Total cost was £12.85. The pint arrived a couple of minutes after ordering and the pizza just over 10 minutes. I must say I was impressed with the pizza, well topped and it was one of the neatest presented Wetherspoons Pizzas I've had (see image). No complaints with quality or temperature. Both were spot on. The only downside was some of the bar staff seemed a little bit rude and uninterested. Hence why this pub has been rated three stars. Although Wetherspoons in Zone 1 Central London are more expensive than most other branches, they are still better value for money compared to other pubs/restaurants in Central London. Therefore, I do recommend this branch if you are in the area and want food and drink that doesn't make too much of a dent in your wallet.

Be careful when you go, it gets VERY busy even on Saturday morning for breakfast, even then there are bouncers on the door

Came to the spoons after visiting Madame Tussauds (which is directly next to the tube station). Your average spoons can't go wrong. Garlic bread was very good

Ordered breakfast with extras though was intended as two breakfasts. Guy who served said I will bring you another plate so we could divide the food, never reappeared, food on the whole was cold, in fact bacon was stone cold hadn't been heated at all, nobody reappeared to check if food was satisfactory. Very disappointed with food and lack of service only 11am not very busy. The pub itself has to be one of the nicest spoons I have been in, what a shame the staff let the place down, reported it to girl who lifted the plates to take away not even a suggestion of an apology, poor response.

Pleasant staff, surprisingly good food for the price, fast service. Plenty of seating space. I evidently had under-rated Wetherspoons before. Recommend.

I had the katsu curry and have no complaints about the food. It was lovely. They have a nice range of beers including Leffe and London pride, which I like. The staff try hard, the only reason I gave three stars for service was because they let three people in front of me in the queue at the bar. So be careful to choose your spot at the bar when you need to get served.

This pub chain never disappoints when I come to London. The times I have come I have always eaten well and I think it is also cheap.

Popped in here for a cheeky pint on the way to the O2, was originally going to another pub, but alas, it was full of footy supporters. Security on the door were friendly, bar area was quite large and very busy, barman was extremely polite and friendly. As it was only a cheeky pint I can't rate the food, but I would drop by again if I'm up that way.

Solid pub right next to Baker Street station. Usually busy but pretty spacious inside and the decor is pretty impressive. Usual spoons prices so nothing too expensive either. Draught beers are what you'd expect but they can often have some interesting cans in the fridge so always worth a look.

We have been to this restaurant almost every year for the last 20 years, but this time we were very disappointed because there are no steak dishes on the menu anymore and no Gammon Steak...that's why unfortunately only 2 stars for the food because we didn't like the menu

Went for breakfast Sunday 7th April ordered on the app food took 35 mins drinks took 1 hour 15 mins. Not good service staff didn't service drinks in order of screen people that complained got served first hence the people that waited patiently got served last. Table 15 time of order 10.44 check times on your stats.

One of the nicer 'spoons that I've been to, but the lower prices on drinks and food inevitably mean it's very busy, resulting in little or no table space or available seating, and high volume levels. Hard to have a conversation and even harder to get near the bar, although the staff were turning orders around very quickly.

5pm on a Friday and time for a meal in London. The Metropolitan came into view, the Wetherspoons signage clearly visible. It’s a beacon, a lure to draw you into a world of very affordable food and drinks. It’s not 5* dining and the nearest ‘Spoons ever got to a Michelin star was when a staff member behaved themselves in Kwikfit. Still, you get what you pay for, as they say. And we paid for a beef madras and a chicken burger. We’re simple folk. The bar was packed, and I do mean jam packed full. There was one table. One, and that was at the top of the stairs in full view of everyone wandering in and out of the place. Hundreds of people were smiling at us awkwardly as we waited for our meals. I can smile awkwardly with the best of them. I even nudge the boundaries of ‘creepy’ occasionally. The food arrived after a surprisingly short wait given that the population of a small town was enjoying the facilities. And do you know what? It was very nice indeed. The chicken burger was cooked beautifully and did appear to be a good quality piece of breast. The chips were well cooked, very hot and exceptionally crispy. The beef madras was wonderful, very tasty indeed. The rice was fluffy and hot and the poppadum not too greasy, while the naan mopped up the spicy detritus nicely. The meals were delicious and despite the unusual seating, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. A footnote. The following morning. ‘Darling, why did you knee me in the trouser crackers last night?’ ‘Your breath smelt of garlic from that madras.’ Yep, the curry was THAT good.

I had a transit stop and needed a bite to eat Friday evening. Very busy as you can imagine but spacious with a lot of seating. Super easy to pay and order on their application. Just download it, find a table, add your location, table number and then order and pay. You don't even need to go to the bar. The staff will bring the order to you. The application also gives you calories and approximate waiting times. I had a pizza and soft drink. Both were fine. Came out quickly. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Service was good. Despite how busy it was, I got a nice seat. Good atmosphere and not rowdy. Convenient location next to Baker Street station and cheap for London too! Slight negative is that some areas could be cleaner. Would recommend otherwise.

It was really good and cheap compared to the quality of the food. The staff was also friendly and the atmosphere was nice as well. Like a good restaurant but with affordable prices.

One of my favourite spoons in London as its great access via Bakerloo or Jubilee lines and is just next door to the tube entrance. It's very spacious and serves decent pub food. Price of drinks have now gone up and Spoons in London is no longer as cheap as it once claimed but these are decent safe venues.

Firstly, the building is very pretty inside. I spent lots of time looking around at the ornate rooms. The food was good, we all know what Wetherspoon’s food is like. Staff were friendly, sorted a problem with our drinks very quickly.
