Brilliant place. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I have had many great evenings here

AVOID at all costs. The "manager" recommended wine, took our money, my friend and I had one sip - it was disgusting, undrinkable - so we politely explained it was not at all to our liking, but he flatly refused to give us something else or refund us even though there was nearly a whole bottle he could have sold by the glass (although who would drink that awful vinegar, I don't know). He showed no understanding of customer service. In fact, from the off, seemed gleeful and smug at his success in robbing us. He proceeded to speak in a condescending and patronising manner refusing to listen to reason even when a total stranger felt the situation was so unfair that he tried to support us. How this place is still open is beyond me, but I can guarantee if the staff remain in post, it won't be long before it goes under. And it'll be good riddance!

Super friendly staff and great decor and atmosphere. Relaxed and cosy after work, vibrant later in the evening and during the weekend.

Nice cocktails, however there was only one printed cocktail menu for the whole place abd was hard to place an order as crowding at the bar. Some strange clientele that spoilt the atmosphere.

Popped in for a night cap on Wednesday night and had a lovely drink. The bar staff were very welcoming and efficient - only two tiny negatives - only cocktails on the menu are possible (fair enough, but we were hankering for a Long Island Ice tea. In the end we went for a great Old Fashioned, Dark and Stormy and Aperol. Only comment is a tiny bit more sweetness would be good but it’s always personal preference. Would come back another day.

I’m here for a night out for my friends, 18th wasn’t expecting much is it was a Tuesday night? I can’t fault Jess and Tom. They were absolutely brilliant. Will definitely be back if I can get more stars I would hundred percent would recommend

What spoils an otherwise stylish bar with fantastic cocktails, is the very poor customer experience when the bar staff decide to take a dislike to you. Real shame. The manager tried her best to compensate how we’d been treated, by giving us vouchers for two cocktails each (total 6 cocktails - plus returning our £5.00 tip - around £65 all up!) because she could see we’d been discriminated against by her bar staff. Nevertheless, I’m not sure we will ever use the vouchers as I would rather drink cold tea for the rest of my days instead of gracing The Slurrrmaid with my presence again… Perhaps the manager will take a more objective view next time rather than taking the word of one member of her bar team who for some reason unknown to us, thought we shouldn’t be served anymore… The manager, rightly so began by defending ‘said bar tender’, however once listening to us, she apologised profusely once gaining complete clarity of the situation so perhaps that’s something… We will see… A very disappointing end what started off as a very enjoyable night.

Such a great gem on Gandy street and a must visit, went in on a Tuesday night and was greeted by the staff who were all lovely and knowledgeable on the cocktails, I had a Old Fashioned which was amazing to watch being made as they smoked it with apple wood! Will definitely be returning!

Fantastic service and the whole vibe is relaxed and professional. Friendly atmosphere and really really great drink selection. Staff are fab and some lovely cocktails too. Acoustics when busy aren't great but otherwise a really nice experience.

Not able to comment on the food. Had drinks with friends, friendly staff, easy going chilled environment. Reasonable drinks selection.

The beverages served here are undoubtedly delectable, but they do come with a rather hefty price tag. On the other hand, the overall ambiance is quite enjoyable and lively, although it can sometimes veer into a somewhat overly sensitive territory. I appreciate a great drink and a good time, but I can't help but remain conscious of the potential impact on my wallet.

Good drinks, friendly staff, and a relaxed vibe. Loud enough to feel lively, but not so loud that you can't converse. One of the best bars in Exeter, as far as I am concerned.

Wonderful bar , not only awesome cocktails but an amazing team. As a women I have to highlight the strength I witness . The female bar manager having to deal with, and protect her female staff from sexist and intimidating comments from groups of drunk men who frankly should know better (judging by their ages) . I just want to say bravo for holding your ground and calling out there intimidating and ignorant behaviour. Sometimes it's easier as a women to grin and bare it ..... But you do not.... Bravo 👏 . Well done ..keep up the good work .

The staff are good, delightful and attentive. One of the best rum selections in Exeter and the Venue is great to be in. Clean and well served by its staff and management. A better clientele here too.

Came for cocktails on my Canadian friends last night in the country to celebrate her visit and had a great time. The service and atmosphere were wonderful but those cocktails were the star! So delicious and interesting without being fussy. The music they were playing was so fun and the right volume. I can’t wait to return, my goal is to someday try each cocktail as I’m sure they’re all amazing.

Great staff. Someone walked across the floor to give us menus as loads if customers were crowding the bar, then took orders over them. Only let down for me was the lack of soft drinks on draft.

A refreshing atmosphere compared to the surrounding places on a Saturday night. I picked this place as I thought it would make a decent cocktail. Sadly not if you want something not on the menu. I ordered a negroni. Hard to mess up when premixed, but not particularly inspiring. My wife wanted an espresso martini. They don't have a coffee maker, so they couldn't do it (since they'd made a premixed negroni I'm surprised they didn't have espresso mix premade, but their choice). So a backup was a black russian. No clue how to make it, and even when told the two key ingredients, it was still wrong. Oh well... Maybe I got unlucky. Stick to the menu and you'll probably be fine. It was disappointing though.

Can't be found on TripAdvisor. Wonderful new cocktail bar on the eclectic Gandy Street. Fab space. Doggy friendly. Whilst not listed on the menu the lovely waitress put together a simple Bloody Mary.
