A wonderful champagne afternoon tea. 🍾 They catered impeccably for my gluten intolerance. The food was well above par. The gluten-free bread was light and fluffy. The pastries didn't fall apart, and the scones? Ooooh, they did not disappoint! 😍 The staff were knowledgeable and extremely polite.

Magnificent brick building with a garden area. I went there for afternoon tea between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. A British experience to live. The service was impeccable and the room is truly superb. I recommend making a reservation to be sure of having a place. The content of the Afternoon Tea is very copious and a doggy bag is possible if you can't eat it all, which was the case for us despite being fast ^^ Compared to others the price was fair £31 for the first price. Tea is unlimited if you need it. I highly recommend if you are in the area.

This was our fourth event at The Melody Restaurant / St. Paul Hotel and the only word to describe the evening was MARVELOUS. The food, the beverages, the atmosphere, and the service were all impeccable! Kudos to Carl, Ariana and the entire Melody team for another extraordinary evening!

Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and service. 4* for the food as we didn’t like the savoury afternoon tea options that much (personal preference) but everything else was absolutely amazing. Hands down the best afternoon tea I’ve ever been too. Would go again in a heartbeat

Celebrated my big birthday here with a beautiful afternoon tea, it was incredible! I can honestly say it was the best I have ever had, excellent value, generous, the service was first class and what a beautiful place and setting. Highly reccomended.

Great value and good quality. Sandwiches a little boring with not as much filling as one would like, but the excellent salmon dish. scones and cakes more than make up for it. Will happily return.

Booked an early dinner for 5:15pm before a show at the Apollo that started at 7pm. On arrival at reception there were 2 staff members fiddling about with the thermostat, they turned to see us then immediately turned back to what they were doing, without acknowledging us at all. After standing around close to 5 minutes we just walked around ourselves until we found the restaurant. The restaurant manager then informed us that the restaurant wouldn't be open until 5:30pm (although it let us book online for 5:15pm specifically for dinner and time was obviously of the essence due to our plans later in the evening). We were shown to a table in the bar to wait 10 minutes (which turned out to be 15) and neither the restaurant manager nor a single member of staff came over to offer us a drink whilst we waited. Eventually we were taken through to the restaurant where we were handed menus which was not in line with the online menu, missing a lot of items and no replacement dishes. I asked to see the bar menu as due to dietary restrictions and the reduced menu there weren't any mains of my liking. The waitress brought over the bar menu happily. When it came to ordering we were told that they couldn't serve anything from the bar menu in the restaurant, and they couldn't serve anything from the restaurant menu in the bar. They offered to seat us in a more private area - but when pressed as to whether we could order off different menus we were flatly told a firm no. Despite the fact we would not be eating in either the restaurant or the bar. At this point we cut our losses and went to find something else to grab quickly before our show. From start to finish, the issues with the booking, their service, the lack of accommodating to customers you have already disappointed and the pure, absolute pretentiousness of the chef to refuse to serve items from different menus in a private area of the venue made this a truly awful experience in every way from start to finish. Afternoon tea may be nice, but I would steer well, well clear of having dinner here.

Six of us including two kids went to The Melody restaurant for afternoon tea and it was a wonderful experience. The food was really varied and tasty and they took in to account our dietary requirements. The food was plentiful, in fact we took home a few boxes of leftovers as we couldn’t finish it all. Hot drinks were free flowing and plenty of teas (and coffees) to choose from. The restaurant and settings are beautiful and just a short walk from the tube station. We were looked after by Jackie who couldn’t have done more to make sure we were happy, she was so helpful and attentive. A special thank you to her and those who helped answer our questions prior to booking. I’d highly recommend this experience.

Had a Champagne afternoon tea, it was amazing, the place is stunning, service 5*, and the food amazing! Salmon and caviar was a nice surprise, for my husband! I loved the cheese scones, so good! The fruit scones were fantastic, never had any like that before. We had a lovely, relaxed afternoon with food that was unique, tasted great and made us feel very pampered. Would love to go again.

This is a review of the whisky bar. Excellent selection of whiskies. Three of us did whisky flights - 3 selections of five whiskies. Very good prices, lovely ambiance. Shall definitely returning.

This place was excellent. I went there twice during my birthday weekend with a group of friends and cannot rate it highly enough. Ambiance was olde world and very cosy and attractive setting. Food very high quand excellent service. Had 3 course dinner and afternoon tea the next day. They even presented me with birthday dessert plate.

Lovely spot in Hammersmith but very disappointing Restaurant .Two of my friends had Mushroom Risotto which they found inedible . Not a mushroom in sight.!!My Fish was VERY Dry and tasteless accompanying vegetable which i had no taste to it . Even the Mango Sorbet was pretty tastsless. VERY DISAPPOINTING .

Service: really lovely staff and very attentive. My only suggestion would be, please don't ask diners if they're ok with everything what felt like every 5 minutes. We just mostly wanted to be left alone and felt like we were being watched like a hawk. Again, very very sweet and friendly, but just tone it down a little. Atmosphere: not much to say, cosy and lovely Food: I hate saying this about anything I eat, but it was just awful. Not only did the food arrive late (we got an apology for this) but it was cold, like it had been waiting on the counter for a while before it came to us. My risotto was the worst dish I've ever had and I couldn't finish it - bland and no flavour, parmesan on top so cold I had to use my fingers to tear it. My friend's steak and mash were cold and lacked flavour. The only decent thing was the broccoli but cost £6 and something so simple to make that it doesn't justify the price point. Alot of the positive reviews seem to be mostly about the afternoon tea experience, which I have not tried (and don't plan to) - fix the menu please. The food is truly not worth what you pay for and needs reworking. It's a shame, always wanted to try Melody so I'm really disappointed. However, thank you to the staff who were the only good thing about our evening.

Had afternoon tea here today and it was honestly our favourite we've ever had in London. We do a LOT of afternoon teas, including the Ritz, and would still prefer to come here as it is excellent value. Service was impeccably polite and they were very accommodating when we had to do a last minute reschedule. The food was delicious and included an extra plate of salmon & caviar in addition to the usual scones, sandwiches & desserts. We were able to take our desserts home in a box as we were very full (although they accidentally didn't pack the scone as requested). We will 100% come back again. Highly recommend!

Un Afternoon Tea merveilleux et délicieux, copieux et bien garni! Un bon Champagne et du thé de qualité. Le lieu est magnifique et calme et niché dans un petit parc ! On se sent dans une petite campagne pourtant dans Hammersmith. L'amabilité du personnel qui nous a servi est à noter. L'accueil à l'entrée en revanche était limite. Nous y retournerons sans aucun doute j'ai eu un superbe anniversaire.

This is just my favourite place in London because it is an all rounder: the quality of the food, the atmosphere, the beauty of the building and its history as well as the kind and warm service from the delightful staff team- perfect. P.s this place has the best whisky selection for miles around and the whisky flights are very reasonably priced!

We had the standard St. Paul’s Afternoon Tea for two people (30£ pp), and it was absolutely delightful! Scones were warm and fluffy, overall a good balance of fruity and sweet pastries vs slightly savory sandwiches. 3 page long selection of tea. Relaxed, private atmosphere. Servers were friendly and accommodating and packed up the leftovers very nicely for us upon request. Excellent price/quality ratio, if given the chance, would go again.

Would not recommend the whisky tasting experience at all. Unfortunately we were told completely different information over the phone to the reality upon arrival. We were told there would be an element of choice, but there was none. Two of us were handed 5x whiskies which didn’t chose, nor suited our tastes. Lovely location but poor quality staff, zero choice to the tasting session as promised. Even lied about the outside heaters not working 👎 Hate to say it in this day & age, but the place was crying out for someone older who spoke better English to whip the service-less teens & 20 somethings into shape! 🙏👍

На пару с ребёнком 15 лет у нас вышел счёт в районе 120-130£, но от самой еды мы были не в восторге. Нам принесли трёхэтажную подставку с тремя тарелками - на самой верхней тарелке были не сладкие бутерброды, вот они были самые вкусные!!! На средней тарелке были, мягко скажем, несъедобные кексы, которые мы попробовали и есть не стали, а на самой нижней тарелке были десерты, которые тоже были не совсем удачные. В дополнение, нам принесли тарелку с красной рыбой и ложечкой красной икры. В общем, можно сказать, что мы наелись только не сладкими блюдами, которые были очень вкусными, а сладкое нам не понравилось. Но ещё раз повторюсь, что еда здесь не самое главное - главное это приятное место со старинной атмосферой и шикарным обслуживанием, где каждому дали свой чайничек с выбранным чаем, а взрослым по бокалу неплохого шампанского!!!

In my opinion the best afternoon tea in London, a few minutes walk from Hammersmith tube station. The restaurant is inside St Paul’s Hotel and is a beautiful old building that has been sensitively restored so worth a visit just to be in these wonderful surroundings. Now as for the afternoon tea it was beautifully served, fresh finger sandwiches, savoury scones, a tray of smoked salmon on the side. The best scones I have eaten and both fruit and plain with tasty jam and cream. The miniature cakes were delicious as well, mini cheesecakes, passion fruit, pistachio and chocolate cakes all so yummy. We took advantage of the offer that included the glass of champagne and was amazed at the size of the flute and the willingness to give a very generous pour. The waitress was lovely and the staff very welcoming. I will definitely return.

We went for an afternoon tea. The setting is lovely. We sat outside and it faces a wild garden. The food itself was really good! Good selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. The cakes are nicely decorated. Good selection of tea and coffee. We also visited the wisky bar which was very impressive . I think they had 600 wiskys or so. The I would go back again.

Had an excellent Sunday Roast here today and highly recommend it, especially for non-Brits who want to try this. The decor is nice, service is attentive, and the food was excellent. As good as my British mother used to make many years ago. Definitely worth the effort.

Went for Afternoon Tea, on an Experience voucher given as a present. Lovely building, formerly part of a school. Very good staff, plenty of tea refills, superb afternoon tea presented on a 3 tier stand. Some interesting, slightly different tastes among the food but all very good. A few spare scones etc were packed in a box to take home, just as nice the next day.

We booked a table online for an Afternoon Tea. The staff was very kind and gave us a table with more space to put the stroller of our baby daughter. We also called in advance when we were running late to our reservation, it was no problem. We were allowed to order two different kind of teas from the menu and the sandwiches and pastries were amazing! The price was also affordable. Thank you again!

היינו בחווית afternoon tea במקום, ואני חייבת לומר שהיה ואוו! לא ציפיתי להנות כל כך ממאפים ומשתיית תה, אבל זה היה לא פחות ממושלם! בהתחלה חשבנו שנצטרך לאכול אח"כ עוד משהו, כי זה נראה קטן (כמו כל ארוחת קונספט כזאת בלונדון), אבל יצאנו מפוצצים ועוד השארנו כמה עוגות לצערי מאחור 😅 קודם כל הם התחשבו בכל רגישות למזון שיש לנו, ושמו בצלחת נפרד מה שביקשנו שלא יהיה יחד,והתאימו לנו סנדוויצ'ים ועוגות לפי הרגישויות. התה היה לא פחות ממושלם, אנחנו הלכנו על יסמין ועל מנגו-תותים בסדר הזה. העוגות (בעיקר הסקונס קינמון-צימוקים) היו טעימות כלכך! ולהבדיל מכל שאר חוויות הafternoon tea בלונדון, פה העוגות לא היו רק מוסים ג'לטיניים כאלו, אלא ממש עוגות אפויות וטובות שזה פלוס ענק! והשירות היה מקסים של כל הצוות, אווירה יוצאת מן הכלל וחוויה בלתי נשכחת 😊 תודה לכם

This was booked as a late brunch, 3 courses plus a glass of champagne. Did not disappoint. The hotel itself is in a gorgeous building. The dining area we were in was perfect, not too stuffy. Staff very polite and courteous. The food was delicious, and would definitely recommend.

Fresh seafood well presented and delicious. Priced reasonably and nice relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed my dinner.

It was my second visit to the melody of Saint Paul in Hammersmith for afternoon tea, I was so disappointed this time the bread for the sandwiches wasn’t fresh the scones hard and the petits four heavy and not fresh. Will never go there again it’s a shame as the place is nice with a lovely decor. When I complained I only got an apologie not a reduction in my bill!.

Second visit to the restaurant here, this time with 3 friends for the sparkling afternoon tea. Literally loved everything - fabulous comfortable round table with clean decor, superb, tasty food with an air of class about it. Fabulous service and will cater for fussy eater. Literally can’t wait to go back. A real little gem.

Lovely afternoon tea (has as an experience gift voucher) - warm and welcoming staff, excellent timely service. We were able to get gluten free option too. I also had the rose hip and hibiscus tea which was an interesting option. Just missed out on five stars, as it's a slight shame that the room for the restaurant seems to small filled with a lot of tables so for our 2pm booking was full and felt a little cramp, room was also a bit too warm on an August day. Would have been five stars otherwise

Definitely a fantastic afternoon tea for couple or four. The dining area can get a little crowded but if you prefer eating in the garden it will be perfect. The choice of sandwiches ,scones and pastries are good with a great tasting champagne 🥂

We had to write this review today to highlight just how much of a lovely afternoon tea we had this afternoon! The service was brilliant with very attentative staff. We booked with a groupon voucher and we were treated exactly the same as any other guest. The glass of champagne was poured right to the brim and the 3 different teas we tried were delicious! It was a refreshing change not to just have finger sandwiches, so whoever designed these bread and fillings is just brilliant! The scones were lovely and fresh (the fruit one had a lovely cinnamon flavour!). The cakes were dainty patisseries and had so much flavour, our favourite was the chocolate layered one! We would definitely be back for afternoon tea or maybe a trip to the whisky bar! Highly recommend the afternoon tea and this hotel for its great friendly staff and delicious, great value food. It is definitely a little gem!

The service was exceptional at our recent visit for afternoon tea. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing and the facilities were spacious and impeccable. There was an excellent variety of cakes and sandwiches with the afternoon tea which were delicious and very fresh. A wide variety of teas to choose from, we went for lattes which didn’t disappoint. The scones were delightful, very soft and freshly made, served warm. We had a lovely time, would definitely recommend and cannot wait to return!

I visited the restaurant with my friend and I had the best experience and exceptional customer service. It had a warm, cosy feel and friendly staff around to help. The waiting staff checked up on us after we ordered and received our food to see if we needed anything and they offered to top up our water. The attentiveness from the waiting staff was great and definitely worth a mention. The scones were the best scones I’ve had at any tea, warm, buttery and so tasty!! Highly recommend for tea and just for a visit if you’re around, you will not be disappointed!

Afternoon tea was made with ? an old tea bag that had lost its flavour No loose leaf for a high tea! Service was absent Four out of control toddlers with 4 selfish mothers on the next table destroyed the experience for all tables. Not a place to bring multiple children Sandwiches ok. Scones over baked Cakes quite synthetic

From the minute we were greeted by the waitress to all through the meal the staff were wonderful,cheery,helpful and so polite,we had a Groupon for the Sunday roast with a glass of champagne and a coffee each which my husband changed to tea with no problem,my husband had the roast beef and I had the roast lamb and both were cooked to perfection with lovely vegetables, fluffy and crispy roast potatoes and a beautiful Yorkshire pudding,we order extra and had cheese and biscuits to share for dessert and the selection of biscuits and cheese were fantastic,the atmosphere is so beautiful and relaxing and the staff are in no hurry to rush you out,we will definitely be going back with or without a Groupon deal,

I would give this 5/5 for the service and experience apart from a couple of the sandwiches. Fillings were lovely but felt brioche was too much and very filling. Cinnamon scones probably one of the best I’ve eaten!! Staff were lovely.

We had afternoon tea at Melody with family to celebrate a 91st birthday and it was delightful. There were two vegans in the group - quite often poorly served when it comes to afternoon teas! - but their selection was amazing (those scones were out-of-this-world...). The food was delicious, our servers were both lovely and we were sat in a pretty, serene room with a great view of the beautiful garden. 10 out of 10!
